The rent is cheap and you can’t beat the location but that is as far as it goes! If you like living VERYCLOSE with your fellow cohabiters this is the place for you! The walls are less than paper thin to the point you can hear your upstairs neighbor daily bathroom functions and everything else they do in the bedroom. The landlord does not understand emails and if you have any issues with the apartment it has to be submitted in HAND writing or you have to call. Nothing submitted to the management office was ever fixed; the back door leaked the entire time we lived there, the heat never worked which was was not up to code standards and don’t get me started on the brown water and roaches(not Palmetto bugs). The Mr. Lansky(landlord/owner) has also made racist and several negative & derogatory comments about some of his existing tenants in my presence! When signing your lease read every line item carefully! Any issues goes nowhere with him and he states«read your lease and what does it say»! I’d suggest moving next door or across the street with comparable rents and NOT get trapped at The Briar Patch. Honestly, I’m surprised he hasn’t installed a drive-thru just to take the rents…
