I went in for an appointment and was so happy with the customer service. They really listened to my needs and wants and pulled dresses that looked good on me. The whole team made the experience incredible. They made sure I was feeling like a bride the whole time. They also have an incredible selection for all sizes. It was a wonderful experience

I made an appointment at Bridals by Lori specifically to check out the sample dresses in their «Immediate Delivery» section. I’d been eyeing them online for weeks by the time I was finally able to go. Complete disappointment! Some of the dresses listed on the website as available had been sold long ago, and the majority of the dresses were unwearable. Just black with filth and tears on the bodices – I was shocked they were still trying to sell them, even at a discount. In fairness, the ones that were really bad weren’t in the sale room. The attendant had to bring them up from the stock room, but these dresses were still being sold on the website.
Also, I know these were sample dresses, but I have seen sample dresses for sale at other salons that were in significantly better condition. Overall, I saw at least 10 gowns, and there were only two that I would consider in decent shape. Definitely don’t buy anything online without seeing it in person first, and I wouldn’t make a specific trip if you are interested only in this section. My attendant was very friendly, though very young. The new dresses start at $ 2,500.

I’ll update this review in May when I actually pick up my dress. But I went in today and can say I had a nice experience. If you go there, expect to pay no less than $ 2500, and average around $ 4−5k for a dress. You need an appointment, and once you get there, you pull your own dresses for a few min. You’re not a princess — you’re shopping for a dress, so it’s fine. :) Once you’ve pulled a few dresses of your own, they take you back to start trying on. As you come out to look in the mirror, it’ll be easy eliminate shapes that don’t work. The consultant will start pulling dresses to suggest, based on the previous ones.
Monte and Lori were there, with cameras and all, while I was there. They are nice and chatty. And they can definitely lay on the sales pressure… There’s definitely some pressure put on you, once you seem to find a dress you like. But they didn’t press me into a dress I wasn’t happy with.
I’m happy so far with my experience! They give you a 12.5% discount if you buy right there during the appointment. But no returns. Require 60% down payment. Everyone I worked with was polite and professional.
Because of all this, I wouldn’t recommend starting your dress search there (maybe start at a few places where there’ll be less pressure). But, I’d plan to end your shopping there though. I love what I got, and feel like the experience was part of the fun! What a memory!
If you’re interested in being treated like a «fancy» customer, this isn’t really the place. The robe they gave me to wear was the one the previous gal wore, and was wadded up on the dressing room floor next to her borrowed bra. (That’s why I took off a star…) They don’t offer you champagne, and they don’t whisk dresses by you one-​by-​one to approve with the toss of your hand. If you go in with the expectation that it’s just a dress shop that feels kind of surreal because of the whole TLC thing, then you’ll be happy. But if you wan to be treated like the Pretty Pretty Princess you truly are, then you may not like your experience.

I was really excited to fly all the way to Atlanta from San Diego to visit this place from seeing it on the TV show. When I walked in the vibe I got was very standoffish. The employees were not friendly. I was directed upstairs and no one showed me the elevator or walked me up there. They made me fill out a card and wait for them to enter it in the system. When I walked up to the counter, they made me feel like I was bombarding them and told me to just wait, in an unfriendly tone. They didn’t ask me any questions or even say congratulations to me. The girl they assigned me to did not seem happy to help. I was surprised she told me to walk around to pick out my own dress, especially after showing the style of dress I wanted off Pinterest. I had pull a dress off the rack myself and brought it to my fitting room. When I asked if she had more dresses like what I was looking for she said she had to think about it. I considered buying the dress I tried on because I loved it, but after feeling judged by these awful employees, I will look for that same dress elsewhere. Bridals by Lori, I know you guys have the TV show, but that doesn’t entitle you to be rude and snooty to your customers. Treat your customers well regardless of where they’re from, and be a little enthusiastic with brides, especially because dress shopping is a big deal and stressful for brides with the pressure of finding «the dress.» I do not recommend this store regardless of their fame, they have the worst customer service. Their inventory was also surprisingly limited as well.

I had high hopes for my wedding dress experience as I’d heard good things from a friend of mine who rented a tux there.
As a mature bride who was having an intimate wedding, I didn’t want to spend over $ 3k for my dress. When I called to make an appointment to explain this, they told me that I would be viewing their clearance section. No problem. When I arrived, a very gruff woman hurried me along to what seemed to be a large closet, mentioned they didn’t have much in there, told me to let her know if I needed to try something on and she left. Immediately, we were not off to a good start. I didn’t find anything so my daughter and I wandered «upstairs» only to be met with several people who were «less than friendly» who quickly explained they were too busy to allow us to browse dresses — we were told to make an appointment. No problem I thought, «we won’t be back».
On our way out of the boutique, we saw the formal wear/​bridesmaid section so we decided to take a look. We were met by a very nice woman who took her time with us, asked what we were looking for and invited us to browse the dresses there. We quickly found a beautiful dress that I fell in love with. Although I wouldn’t normally make a purchase after having such a disappointing experience, I was comfortable with the salesperson in the evening gown section and I wanted to «say yes» to the dress :) I also thought it would all be uphill from there… boy, was I wrong…
The smallest size that my dress could be ordered in was a size 4 and I am a 2, so it would have to be altered. Each time I had to come there to visit alterations (3 – 4 times in all), I dreaded it. The same gruff woman that I started my experience with, seemed to be in alterations during each visit. She was never friendly and I always felt like they were rushing me in and out for my appointments (I did see them fuss over a few others who’d purchased more traditional and expensive gowns). I shrugged this off and thought that I’d just like to bring this experience to an end, and marry the love of my life.
Then came what should have been my last fitting (1 week prior to my wedding day). My dress had been tapered at the bottom and when I tried it on, I couldn’t get it over my thighs. Mind you, I’d just been there the week prior and it was fine… the was only after the last alteration. The seamstress and the gruff woman insinuated that I must have gained weight as there was no way the seamstress made a mistake. Well, this made me very upset as there was no way I could even gain that much weight in 7 days. Another woman showed up (I think she was a supervisor in that department) to calm me down and ask the seamstress to make it right. In the end, the seamstress allowed me to come to her house during the week of my wedding and made the necessary adjustments. My dress was beautiful and near perfect on the day of my wedding.
Looking back, I should have gone with my first instinct and left Bridals by Lori. Although I found a beautiful dress, I did not receive the kind of service and experience that every bride (any customer for that matter) should. They could definitely benefit from a little service training… ok, a lot of service training.

I don’t EVER write reviews, but I made sure to go out of my way and write this one. Truly disappointing. From the beginning, when a pregnant girlfriend of mine was nice enough to set an appointment for my first time wedding dress shopping, she received attitude from whomever the reception is/​was. While I understand that you need provide certain information to the client prior to setting an appointment, you should do it with a friendly tone and not with a tone that puts you higher on a pedestal than you really are. We had already finished two stores and decided to go only because it was close by and we were «curious.» I am assuming the person that greeted us or should I say didn’t greet us, is the one that picks up the phone and sets the appointment. Retire or find a new calling in life because customer service is not it. Sure the store is appealing because they direct you to the «third floor» and you walk into a stage with lights, but all of the dresses are in bags which makes it harder to find one. We were told to pick dresses and hang them in our designated corner and our consultant would be right with us.
The last two stores I went to pulled the dresses for me as well as helped me get into them. Our consultant took the dress out of the bag and handed it to me. There was a robe hanging in the room which I assume I could use, but she didn’t mention anything so I left it alone. The other places gave me a robe and handed it to me in between fittings. She told me she didn’t know the style of one of the dresses I tried on, but yet she has been there for four years. One of my bridesmaids asked about the sleeve of the dress and the consultant said that we might have to use DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. ON A 5000 DRESS?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
It was really unfortunate because she was a beautiful woman. I am not going to put her name on this review because I am not angry just disappointed. Maybe her personality is monotone and inexpressive, but if you are trying to sell a dress and help someone enjoy an exciting time in their life as you did, you might want to be somewhat of a jovial person. I don’t care if I found the dress of my dreams there. I would not buy it. Having to go back to alterations would be like pulling teeth because I would hate to walk into the place again. What a sad experience.

Yet another great experience at Bridals by Lori. This time I returned with my sister for her Bridal experience, and again it was worth it. Ms. Yankhaty, (who felt like a family friend) along with the rest of the staff made this experience so fun. My sister commented that shopping at Bridals by Lori was the first time she felt like a true Bride. They made sure she had her dress on time (it actually came ahead of schedule and it fit perfect!) Thanks again Yankhaty and the Bridals by Lori staff!

We didn’t want to come here because it seemed snooty/​probably out of our price range, but my mother insisted so she called to see if we could get an appointment that day (Thursday.) The receptionist/​person who answered the phone was soooooooooo snooty! My mom was on the phone for at least 10 minutes because she kept asking questions, putting her on hold and trying to dissuade us from coming to the store, saying they didn’t have any dresses for us (all my mom said was «white, trumpet, low back,» or something like that.) She just kept saying «Do you have an appointment or not?» Finally I guess they said they had an appointment so we went. My sister, who the dress was actually for, protested the whole time but you know, moms.
There was one other shopper in the store when we got there, so I’m not really sure why they weren’t just like «Yes, no one is here, come to the store.» But whatever…
NO PICTURES until you «say yes to the dress» (buy it.) Pretty lame and weird considering they aren’t proprietary designs and you can find what they look like online (more on that later.) It doesn’t make sense and makes it hard to remember what they look like. Snuck some on my phone anyway though.
The consultant was very nice and helpful. I like the shopping style when you can look around and pick out some of your own things before they get up in your grill. Dress selection is organized by designer, like all clothing places focused on designers are. The stores we had been going to before this were running anywhere from a couple hundred to maybe 2500. Didn’t see many for less than $ 2500 here. None less than $ 2000 for sure, and some were $ 12,000+. Median/​mean probably around $ 5000.
Anyway, so of course my sister found a dress that she looked amazing in, and of course it was $ 5500, roughly $ 3000 over her budget. It was a Matthew Christopher (IDK, some designer) and the consultant told us it was a sample from a trunk show he had earlier in the year and that the best thing is you can wear it before too many people have it/​have seen it since it’s so new and so custom-​y. Snooty experience and all, up until this point I might have given the place 3.5 stars…
…And then we came home and googled the dress and found that it was actually a design from 2 years ago… Sooooo either both of the consultants helping us were super misinformed/​not knowledgeable about their fancy dresses or they were trying to fool us because this was out of our budget. Either way, not impressed.
Could have been a 1 star review, but +1 star for having a dress that looked amazing on my sister, even though she is beautiful and always looks amazing.

At Bridals by Lori, you will leave with a gorgeous gown and if you choose to do your alterations there as well, your gown will come out flawless, like they never touched it. That being said, you will pay top tier prices and you will be a number, not a person. More detail to explain below…
In all, I went to Bridals by Lori 4 times, once for my gown appointment, followed by 3 alterations appointments. At my gown appointment, my consultant was nice, however the whole appointment seemed rushed and stiff — They were eager to sell me a gown and get me out as fast as possible. It was a Sunday afternoon and the salon was fairly quiet, and it almost seemed as though they were prepping for closing right after my appointment. Even though the attitude in the air was not the best, they did find the perfect gown for me within the first 3 dresses I tried on. So all in all, I can’t complain about that! I do have one piece of advice though: Their accessories are at full retail price and you will pay a pretty penny for them. Take a look at Tradesy, Etsy, and other sites before committing to buying accessories there. I found the exact same Watters belt on Tradesy for nearly half price. It justifies paying more for your gown, if you ask me!
As for the alterations, you go in on one day and therefore MUST book your 2 following appointments on the same day. For example, my first fitting was on a Sunday, so I had to do my next 2 appointments on Thursdays. Not ideal, since I live in Augusta and work an 8 to 5 job. The lady who altered my gown did a phenomenal job though — My gown is all lace and it didn’t look like the hem was moved an inch, though it came up about 2 – 3 inches.
Be sure to take some breaths, really look at you in your gown, even if you feel like the appointment is flying by and they want you to get in and get out. From my experience, that is my overall advice, really, when shopping at Bridals by Lori. You’re paying a hefty price for the perfect gown, so take your time and don’t feel pressured, even though it may be easy to feel that way.
It was a fun experience, I found my dream gown, and it gives your gown a story, but don’t expect to feel like you’re one of the special girls on Say Yes to the Dress!

Ugh. This place is the Wal-​Mart of wedding dress shopping.
When you arrive, you’re instructed to start looking around at gowns by yourself. (In theory, this is a nice idea.) You’re told that your consultant will join you after you’ve had a chance to look around. The consultant is supposed to pull additional gowns based on what she sees you’ve picked for yourself.
But for me, the system didn’t work. I was so overwhelmed by the way that they have the dresses organized. It was tough to really «see» the gowns because they’re all hanging on racks and squished inside zipped plastic garment bags. Getting dresses off the rack and holding them was really cumbersome. (Wedding dresses tend to weigh a ton.) I couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe my dream dress was there among their incredible selection, but I’d probably never find it because it was like a needle in a hay stack. Furthermore, when you’re looking to spend 7 to 10K on a single dress, you shouldn’t have to pull it off of the rack yourself.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS IN THE STORE … unless you’ve purchased your dress, which annoyed me. I’m not a «decision on the spot» kind of girl. I want to be able to go home and mull over my decision, and it was strange that we couldn’t take pics or even know the name of the dress that I liked. I do not understand the purpose of the secrecy.
I was also a bit disappointed by my sales consultant. She was certainly nice enough, but she never asked me a single question about my style or my budget. (DUDE: budget is important — -whether you’ve got $ 500 bucks or $ 5,000.) In her defense: she was really spot-​on when it came to suggesting accessories for me. She showed me the single most gorgeous floor-​length veil I’ve ever seen; I really appreciated that since I never thought I even wanted a veil. So I appreciate that she opened my eyes to the possibility. She also offered me a 10% discount on a gown I was interested in, which was nice, but I mostly felt like she was just trying to pressure me into making a purchase. I felt like she was kind of rushing us, too.
This place just wasn’t for me. I felt like me and my family were nothing but cattle at Bridals by Lori. Everything about the experience was impersonal and joyless. Which is disappointing, considering that there’s nothing more personal than a wedding.

Terrible service, rude, under enthusiastic, careless consultant.
Made comments like «this is $ 6000, and over your budget, are you sure you even want to try the dress on?»
Is a customer not allowed to try on a dress that is over her budget? What if she falls in love with one over her budget and decides to say yes? The comment the consultant made reeked of judgement.
No questions were asked at all about what the bride was looking for. We were just told to go into 2 – 3 specific rooms that ‘fit our budget’ and to hang the dresses on the wall hooks in our designated area.
The consultant wouldn’t even help the bride spread the dress out when she walked out to show the bridesmaids. She walked into the dressing room to clip the dress together, walked away, came back, asked if we liked the dress or not.
To be honest, we didn’t have a «high budget.» If you make an appointment here, and you tell them you have a $ 5000 budget, maybe they’ll give you some attentive customer service. If not, just buy a ticket to California and visit a few bridal boutiques in LA to buy a simple $ 3,000 wedding gown. I guarantee you a much better first-​time experience than I had bridal shopping at Bridals by Lori.

If I could not put any stars on this review I would, that’s how much of a super massive black hole this place is. I’ve been into Bridals by Lori several times, however none of them have been with as a bride. Back in Summer 2012 I went in to buy some under garments and crinoline because I needed some for a pageant and knew they had some. I didn’t make an appointment just went in to buy it. In doing that I was treated with such disrespect. They just asked me my size and handed me the stuff for me to pay, not really concerned about me. Lori walked by and didn’t even acknowledge I was in the room. Hello!!!, I’m a customer. Just because I’m not all glammed up doesn’t mean I’m not in there to spend money. Rude…
The next time I went in Summer 2013 with a friend to pick out a veil and accessories for her wedding dress. Every piece of jewelry in there is WAY over priced. It was unbelievable. Why would you pay over $ 100 for earrings that are A) fake diamonds, and B) only sterling silver??? The cheapest thing in there was still out of her budget (which was a bigger budget than I have for my wedding). My friend bought a veil but no jewelry. And then, ordering the veil was a huge headache for her too because of shipping since she was out of town and they were going to cake on a bunch of fees if she didn’t pick it up at the store. I think if someone is going to drop $ 1000 on a veil they should get free shipping.
The last time I went into the super massive black hole was to pick up a dress that was being altered there. When my friend and I arrived we were coldly greeted as the receptionist was texting on her phone. That day they were filming the show and that seemed to be everyone’s top priority… never mind that there were other customers in the store. Customers that had spent a lot of money and others who were there to probably spend money.
It is my firm belief the only reason that place is still living and breathing is because TLC is too stupid to realize that Lori and her «staff» are pretty cold, snobby, and rude. A great many people I know want to go there because of the show and when they get there they aren’t treated as well as others on the show. First off, that’s a reality show, secondly, (my assumption) Lori only likes you if you plan to spend $ 4,000+ on a wedding dress. I’ve seen the car she drives and how she has a bunch of fancy stuff…
Also, over the past few years going in there I always see a lot of new people… is there a high turnover rate at that job??? You’d think a retail store with such a «successful» TV show that airs on primetime would have a nice worker moral… my guess is probably not.
I’m currently a bride there and when I got engaged last year and everyone asked me where I was going to shop for dresses I said, «Not Bridals by Lori, that’s for effing sure!» I’d rather go to David’s Bridal.
If you are getting married or someone you know is getting married I urge you to support other bridal boutiques in the metro-​Atlanta area. I did and was very happy with the gown I got, which was beautiful and $ 300 under my budget of $ 2000 for dress and veil.

I had an amazing experience at Bridals by Lori. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated with kindness. The southern hospitality is definitely present!
I was told that I would be working with Cindy and to look around for styles that I loved and Cindy would be right with us. This was my first time trying on dresses and I thought it would be overwhelming to pull them myself, but the dresses are so organized at Bridals by Lori, you can’t be overwhelmed. We pulled some dresses (me and my entourage of two) and headed for the dressing room. We were greeted by Cindy who immediately start to pick up on my style.
I tried on 3 dresses before I found «the one.» Cindy brought in the most beautiful dress that I could not imagine leaving. You also get a discount if you purchase on your first visit! Lori and Monte also joined in on the fun and pretended that we were actually filming and I ultimately said «Yes to the Dress!» It was like a fairytale.
I can’t say enough great things about Bridals by Lori, Cindy, Monte, and of course Lori! Many thanks to the staff that left us in awe of their kindness. Please check them out. You won’t be disappointed! The best in Atlanta!

Since this store is featured on Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta on TLC, I had high expectations for their service — as you should going into any bridal salon.
That being said, I took all the necessary steps to be an honest, prospective customer and made my appointment well in advance and shared my preferences as far as style, cut, and price point. I even confirmed my appointment after receiving a call a week in advance. Needless to say, the store had all of my contact information.
Now let’s get started on my experience step by step:
1. My party and I walk in — beautiful entrance, I check in and give the young girl my name. She immediately made me fill out an info card with all the information I already shared and confirmed multiple times… not pleased but didn’t want to make a scene or mess up one of my first bridal shopping experiences.
2. We then proceed to the bridal Salon and the Manager greets me, asks me about my budget and tells me to look in 3 of the 8 or so rooms. She also tells me that my consultant is running late, and I see that this other girl is saying yes to her dress and running over her appointment. Again no big deal, I don’t want to rush someone who’s making such an important decision.
3. The manager then tells my group to put our stuff down on a couch and allows us to start browsing. We go rouge which is super fun to do with my family, BUT that’s not the best way to make sure that a bride is choosing the right fit, style, fabric, etc. for her dream day. We do this for about 20 minutes of our 1.5 hour appointment.
4. My consultant still isn’t ready for me by the time I’m ready to start trying on some options, so the manager helps get me started. The only undergarments she gives me are two different bras. No corset, no petticoat. We proceed to try on the first dress which is a long sleeve disaster. I made sure my face showed that I really didn’t like the dress and even told her as I was putting it on that I didn’t know how it got put in my picks in the first place, so the manager could tell I was uncomfortable. As soon as she made me step out of the dressing room, I told her I really, really didn’t like it and didn’t want this to be the first dress my family saw on me. She finally let take it off. Crisis and embarrassment averted. Phew.
5. I then tried on a strapless gown that had a beautiful cut but had super ripped lace and the manager made a comment about it as she was helping me get into it. I’m sorry but at a place like Bridals by Lori, you do not need to try on ripped dresses. Get that dress off the floor! I walk out, and my family gets giddy. My aunt also proceeded to take a picture and the manager semi politely told her that no pictures were allowed unless you’re buying the dress, so to a certain extent she made an assumption that we were not even going to buy it. Mistake.
6. My consultant (who’s name I know but will not share) was finally ready for me 35 minutes into my appointment, so the manager introduces us and she has the audacity/​made the mistake about asking me what my name was. What? Are you kidding me? She didn’t even take the time to look at the info card or computer to know my name at the very least. Yet again I was providing my information.
7. At that point, I’m pretty put off by their lack luster service but proceed to trying on dresses I was most excited about. We go to the floor, she doesn’t even offer to give me shoes or a veil right away or even try to paint a picture of what it’ll feel like on the big day wearing these gowns that I tell I love.
8. Upon trying my favorite and even saying out loud that I loved it, she finally asks… should I bring out a veil? She should’ve just had a couple options ready.
9. My family wasn’t a fan of the first vail option she brought out so she just played it safe and brought a simple one to which they were polite and said it looked good. Again there was no desire on her part to create a sense of magic.
10. We get back to room to remove the dress and she asks me If I’m done for the day. Knowing I still had more dresses to try on, I obliged (I was over her subpar service and didn’t think she took me serious as a client).
11. She then went into her sales pitch that no one mentioned to me before about 12.5% off the first day you shop there. She also told me that I would then have to get in line for their alterations which put me in April, not knowing my date gave me 1.5 years not a mere 6 months to get a dress.
12. She left me to get back in my clothing. I met my family and was ready to leave. They were surprised that the appointment ended so abruptly since they knew we picked more dressed to try on. My consultant then apologized for misunderstanding my timeframe (way after she already gave me her sales pitch).
Long review short, We left the appointment early. I did not say yes to the dress. I have the designer and will try it on and buy elsewhere. Very snooty and impersonal. I’ll never even consider returning.

Please don’t buy your dress here!!! BRIDES BEWARE!

They have a great variety of gowns by all the the top designers, and from that standpoint, it’s probably the best that Atlanta has to offer. Unfortunately, if you are not willing to spend over $ 4000 I’d strongly encourage you to save yourself the time and look elsewhere. The level of customer service depends solely on the size of your wallet. Initially my goal was not to exceed $ 2500, but in the back of my mind, I knew that I’d increase that amount for that perfect dress. Maybe it was just the consultant that I worked with. I didn’t spend much time there, because I honestly did not feel that the lady was concerned with helping me. I visited Brides by Demetrios, Anya’s Bridal & David’s Bridal and found my gown at Impression Bridal. Great service, great variety, decent range in pricing.

I was at Lori’s last August, as I was in Atlanta presenting at a conference. I must say I am not typically one given to the romantic, whimsical or heart fluttering experience of wedding gown shopping.
That said, my time at Lori’s was all that and more. «I said yes to the dress» with the help of my capable consultant and the charming, helpful, pleasant manager, Robin.
As fate would have it my hotel mistakenly put a sizable hold on my credit card, making it impossible for me to order my gown that day and unfortunately my father died shortly thereafter so we postponed our wedding.
I am writing after a year because I haven’t forgotten about «my gown» but, more importantly because I have not forgotten nor been able to replicate that magical shopping experience at Lori’s place.
The physical space was pleasing. Everyone was warm, friendly and helpful. The prices were typical of a special occasion purchase and the region.
If you will be in Atlanta or are willing to travel there, I highly recommend Bridals by Lori. If you get the opportunity to work with Robin your time there will be that much better, she is a true Georgia Peach!

This review of Bridals by Lori is written from a groomsman’s perspective. This is a well known Atlanta bridal store among females, but there is a men’s department as well. It’s known as Black Tie by Lori and is located downstairs. They sell and rent out tuxes and suits.
The bride and groom did an excellent job choosing the groomsmen’s suits. I loved the look. We had slim fit grey suits with white shirts, white suspenders, gold ties, and black shoes. It was a simple yet sharp and elegant look. This is something I am looking for in a suit I want to own. I liked the look so much I inquired about purchasing. The suit was $ 599. This price was not unreasonable. Rental fees count towards the purchase of any suit — it doesn’t have to be the same style as the rental suit.
The suits looked terrific. The groom and his groomsmen looked stunning (if I do say so myself).
There were a few hiccups in the rental process. I got measured for my suit months in advance. When I went to pick up my suit, the shoes were forgotten from my order (even though they were listed on my receipt), my shirt had broken buttons, and my pants needed to be re-​hemmed. It was a good thing I went to pick up my suit early, so I could try it on and work all these kinks out. My fellow groomsmen had similar experiences. I have rented tuxes and suits from other businesses and never ran into these kinds of problems before.
I had to make an extra trip to the store to allow for shipping time of the shoes and for my pants to be re-​hemmed. The shirt was replaced on the spot. The shirt I received still had some broken buttons, but they were functional. This is the first time I have ever seen a dress shirt with broken buttons. Then again, this was a rental suit, so I wasn’t too perturbed. Along those lines, the suit did not fit perfectly (and for a rental, one should not expect it to). I’m a skinny guy and the shirt and pants were a little baggy. The jacket fit nicely, however, and I was stoked to find they carried size 34 short for that particular suit. Score.
The rental worked out to be about $ 185 per suit. Since it was an out-​of-​town wedding, we were allowed extra days to pick-​up and drop-​off the suit, which was nice. I was helped by a few different folks during my visits. The only person whose name I remember is Danny and he seemed knowledgeable and gave good advice and tips in regards to my suit. The entire staff was polite and helpful.
In summary, the suits looked great. Just be sure to pick up and try on early in case any adjustments need to be made.

I had never tried on a wedding dress before I walked into Bridals by Lori. It was just my mom and me and we thought we’d stop by on our way to another bridal salon. Everyone was very nice and totally fine with us walking around the showroom without an appointment. We ended up finding 2 or 3 we loved on the hangar so we asked if I could slip it on really fast, not expecting them to work but hey, you have to start somewhere. We had a consultant that was great with making me feel comfortable. Once I tried on two of mine she said she had one in mind that she thought we’d like.
The third dress I tried on, I fell head over heels in love. It wasn’t outrageous in price and I couldn’t think of anything more perfect for me. We went to the other bridal salon to make sure we weren’t crazy and I couldn’t get back to BbL fast enough-​Not only because my dream dress there, but because the entire experience was lightyears ahead of the other place in every category. I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. Even if you don’t find your dress, it’s still such a fun and perfect wedding experience.

I initially tried to book an appointment here for their bridal salon but was told they couldn’t accommodate my $ 2000 budget. I thought that was kind of weird since I see women on the show with that budget, but there are tons of other dress places who would love to have me so I didn’t make an appointment.
I ended up finding a fantastic dress at another place, and it ended up being far below my budget. But it wasn’t super «bridal» and it was ivory — I still had my heart set on a blue dress. So I decided to make that dress my reception dress and continue the hunt for a ceremony dress.
Enter Bridals by Lori again. This time I just did a walk-​in without an appointment and made a beeline for the bridesmaid department. My friends and I scoured the racks and one of them found a fantastic Bari Jay, lacy creation. I tried it on and I loved it — it will have an ivory lace overlay with a periwinkle underlay and sash. The draping is fantastic and I think with a veil and bouquet it won’t look anything close to a bridesmaid dress.
Even though I was the only one out of me and my four friends there that was actually shopping for a dress (my sister is my only bridesmaid and she is across the country), Ellen my BbL consultant was so fantastic. She treated us as if we were all walking in there and ready to spend thousands of dollars. She gave us her undivided attention and was very enthusiastic. She even ran around to find periwinkle-​ish dresses to put under the lace overlay so I could better envision what it would like as I was thinking of having it ordered.
I could not be happier with my visit, and if the fitting appointment goes just as well I will be recommending them to everyone I know for bridesmaids dresses.
