I came here based on the other positive Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. José at the front desk took the time to explain what repairs were needed and approximate time it would take. I had shopped around and this place had the most competitive price (half of what it would cost at the dealer). We just moved to the area, so I’m glad we found a reputable shop and will recommend it to friends.

Great experience! Fair prices and quality work. Had some welding done to my Mercedes. Jose was great!

I found out about this shop through the great reviews on Unilocal.The reviewers were right, this is a great place to get exhaust work done. I picked up an MBRP catback exhaust and after cat h-​pipe for my Mustang. I setup a time to drop off the car over the phone and dropped off the car on the agreed upon day/​time. Jose got the car up on the lift, laid out all the parts, and looked over the existing parts to make sure everything would work. He made sure we talked about where I wanted the exhaust tips to end up and asked if I was ok with them making modifications if necessary to get what I wanted. I got a call a couple hours later and picked up the car. They ended up having to tweak the left side muffler to get it just right. The install was done exactly as I wanted and it sounds great. They saved my stock parts as requested and had them in my car when I got there. Jose is an A+ guy who treats the customer great and a true expert at his job.
Shop is within walking distance to the Lindbergh Marta station if you want to drop it off and take Marta to work.

I needed my catalytic converter and oxygen sensors replaced. Pep boys quoted me almost $ 900 while Buckhead Muffler was able to do the work for under $ 600. They take the time to show you what is wrong and show you want they did afterwards. Best car service I have ever had. Period.

Ive been hearing a ratting sound from my car and guessed it to be catalytic converter. Took my car to Buckhead Muffler and met Jose. He put my car up on the rack identified the problem came up with a reasonable solution and I taking my SLK32 to him tomorrow if i can get a ride. Note here: I’m VERY particular who works on my SLK. Its an AMG and not everyone knows how to work on these. Some research has gone into picking Buckhead Muffler. I will follow up as soon as work is complete. As promised dropped off car and three hours later car is good as new. I will take all my exhaust work here, very professional.

More than pleasantly surprised, from start to finish. The shop is small but clean, and even smells good. I had a factory weld come loose behind my resonator /​middle muffler that had me partially dragging it into his shop. I received excellent attention and such fast service I barely had time to write a review before the repair was done. Every step of the way he showed me what he was doing (e.g., here’s the old part installed, here are all of the options (from $ 50 to $ 2000), here’s the new part installed) and I appreciated that. I was spoken to like a person, and not like a car guy or a dummy. They explained everything they did in detail and the prices were more than reasonable. What a surprising gem! I’d be comfortable sending my wife there — it’s that kind of place. (For being a small shop they even had a TV and comfortable sitting room for half a dozen folks.)

This place is completely awesome! My mechanic told me something was wrong with my exhaust, so I googled shops in Buckhead and their reviews were the best. I stopped in and told Jose what I was hearing in my car and he took a look for me. After he figured it out he showed me exactly what was wrong and where the noise was coming from and througholy explained what needed to be done! He so nicely menchined that I should check with Nissan since my mileage was at 78,000 and usually they would cover my warranty up until 80,000 miles. And he was right! All information I had no clue about. And saved me $ 1150! If I ever have a problem again I am going here and recommending them to everyone!

I never take the time to write a review. These people deserve it however. I am a car guy and I know good car people when I meet them. This shop is above a five star operation. Jose is extremely courteous, professional, and caring about your vehicle. They showed me everything there was to know, allowed me to look in around under and listen to my car exhaust sound, and most shops will even let you look at the garage much less go into them. I have used this shop twice, & I will use them again, I wish there were more operations in Buckhead like this operation. I highly recommend them and would send my hundred year old grandmother to them knowing that they would take good care of her. Use them and you will never regret it.

needed to replace my catalytic converter on my 98 Honda Accord. Jose quoted me a price and said it would take about an hour. He even showed me the underside of my car and showed me the problem. Honest and fair priced. I also got an oil change. And was still out in about an hour. Jose, you rock!

I went to these guys to get the emission inspection of my car that is normally required every single year to get your tag renewal. They were great and really fast. I was in and out in no time. Totally recommend this guys.

Loved my experience here. Jose was knowledgable and professional, and he taught me about my exhaust system and why certain repairs were necessary. Would definitely return.

The good: it is a nicer area, and they were fast. The people were nice.
The bad: Little on the expensive side. You can find a better deal. Also, they routed my muffler very close to my brake line, and used a wire tie to hold it out of the way. Not the most professional. Also, would be hesitant to use these guys for anything other than muffler service. After talking to the guys didn’t get the feeling they were the most knowledgable on repairs.

After my first day at a new job my car would not start. I had it towed to Buckhead Muffler repairs and they had a diagnostic ready right away. Jose kept me up to date on the repairs they were doing and charged a very reasonable price for a new catalytic converter. When I went to pick the car up he showed me exactly what was replaced. Very honest mechanic. I wish they did more regular maintenance because I would bring my car to Buckhead Mufflers for any and everything.

So I had to replace a catalytic converter on my Lexus. Found Buckhead muffler online and called to get a quote. Good price, OEM. Jose was very friendly. I work in Buckhead a few blocks away. I drove my vehicle over and Jose rode with me back to work & took my car to the shop to install the catalytic converter. He called me when the work was completed and I picked it up while on my lunch break. He showed me the old piece and the new one he installed and told me what I can expect. I wish they were full service because Jose is the only person I would trust 100% to do work on my car other than my Dad! You can trust Buckhead Muffler & you can trust Jose to take care of any exhaust issue with your car! I am extremely impressed with the vehicle service and customer service I received there! I can’t say enough on here!

I just got back from Buckhead Mufflers & Repairs and I’m impressed. They were busy but made time to help me out since I couldn’t leave the car with them and I only had to wait 15 minutes.
Jose did an excellent job diagnosing the issues with my 1965 Mustang and showedg me exactly what needed to be done. His explanation was great as well and it will help me in the future as I now know what to look for. David did a great job spot-​welding and both gentlemen were polite and professional.
This is an experienced bunch who seems to care about their work and their customers and have very fair prices as well.
I will definitely be taking my car to them again in the future and recommend you do the same.

I’m very happy that I was referred to this shop. I have an old truck & the parts are hard to find… I knew it needed a new muffler but decided I’d have it looked at by a specialist rather than just slap on a new one myself. This turned out to be a very good idea. They inspected my exhaust for free (love shops that do that). The parts priced were competitive with what I’d have paid myself in an auto shop and the cost of labor was fair & worth every penny. They had the equipment there to custom shape my tail pipe (so if you have a classic this shop is ideal), they reused good claps, welded where needed & didn’t try to sell me stuff I did’t need. The new muffler & tail pipe sit snug — no more rattling metal! Great shop. I definitely recommend them.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Buckhead Muffler! Jose, the proprietor, and his great crew provided very prompt and thorough service of my vehicle.
I had the catalytic converter stolen from my SUV and I had given Jose a call for an estimate. He gave me an accurate and competitive quote and said that I could bring the car by any time.
His crew put my car on the lift as soon as i arrived and they invited me into the shop to inspect it with them. We discussed the problem at hand and reviewed the overall condition of my vehicle. He never tried to sell me on something I didn’t need or give me the typical mechanic run around.
I was in and out within an hour with a car that ran like new. I look forward to bringing my car back to Buckhead Muffler for future servicing needs. Thanks Jose!

very good shop. the owner will show you everything and tell you everything. Goodyear asked me the same repair for $ 480+. I then find this place through google and read the reviews. They got ²⁹⁄₃₀. I went there. The owner lifted my car and explained me the exhaust system and showed me the problem. They asked for $ 240 for after market new muffler and pipes, including labor. Later, they found a stainless used factory muffler in stock and gave me that one. The gave me another $ 40 discount. It turned out $ 200 in final.
The job was done perfectly and I totally enjoyed it.
