History

Established in 1984.

Owner Greg Spencer began his inspection career in 1984 founding the firm Building Systems Analysis, following completion of his masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning, along with a six year term providing construction management for both residential and commercial projects. By 2002, the firm had grown to over 20 inspectors with annual revenues of $ 2,000,000, when it was sold to what is now Fidelity financial group. Greg began the current firm, Building Knowledge at that point, and has grown the firm to eight inspectors and environmental testing professionals.

After a 30 year hands-​on inspection career, Greg has retired from active inspecting. He continues to focus his attention for detail on «Mission Control,» and the management of Building Knowledge, Georgia’s oldest and most respected multi-​inspector firm, with exceptional communication, rigorous inspector standards/​training, high tech automation, and stellar customer service. In the 1990’s, Greg served on ASHI’s National Board of Directors, and as President of the SE Chapter. He is the father of two grown daughters, and grandfather of two. He and his wife, Dana, reside in Blue Ridge, GA, and Hernando, FL, with their two Jack Russell mixed canines, where they also build, own and manage vacation rental cabins, Toccoa House Properties.
