I had been a regular at Café Apple. However, after today I will no longer go here. They supposedly close at 3pm as stated on their door. I arrived at the location at 2:40pm to find the door locked. I knocked on the door, clearly seeing workers and other customers in the restaurant. As one customer was leaving a female worker came to the door, saying they are closed now, so they can clean up. I said how are you closed when your sign says 3pm. She just shrugged her shoulders and said oh well. I don’t understand the rudeness and how this place thinks it’s okay to close 20mins early. Management you need to handle this quickly before more customers decide to stop going here. There are too many restaurants in the nearby area for this little place to be disrespectful. I gladly crossed the street and gave my money to Mellow Mushroom.

the staff is very friendly. the food is pretty good. my only disappointment is the salads have very little lettuce or spinach. they used to be a nice size but not so much now. other than that its a nice place to eat.

Café Apple is located downtown, open Monday through Friday 7AM to 3PM. This establishment offers an affordable menu that includes both breakfast and lunch. For breakfast they have omelets($ 3.95), breakfast wraps($ 3.95), bagels, pastries, hot buffet, and coffee/beverages. The hot buffet is only $ 3.75 for any 3 items of your choice. I’ve had the vegetable and cheese omelet, healthy egg white wrap and vegetable wrap which are all cooked upon order and are good. When I feel like indulging, I grab a Styrofoam box and fill up at the hot buffet which typically includes the following choices: scrambled eggs, sausage links an patties, bacon, turkey bacon, grits, potatoes, and biscuits & gravy. For lunch, they have a large assortment of sandwich($ 5.95) and wrap($ 6.95) options, burritos and make your own salads. The avocado sandwich(minus the sprouts) is my favorite. Also, I really enjoy the salads. You start by selecting spinach, mixed greens or romaine then choose your ingredients/toppings. I typically choose 6 items and it only costs $ 5.50! The food here is good. Not necessarily gourmet. If I was rating only the food, I was give Café Apple 3 stars. But their polite service and fabulous prices push them up to 4 stars.
