This is another spot that makes the weekly lunch rotation when in Atlanta at the corporate offices. Though they’re not doing anything groundbreaking here– it’s basically a french style Panera with soups, sandwiches and a few hot items like quiche and crepes– the food is always fresh, tasty and the product consistent. And y’all know how I love supporting local spots! My only complaints are that it can be pricey, parking can be tough in the area during the few hours they’re open everyday and we’ve had some issues with deliveries.

I have been coming to this place since 2002. I am not really that much of a fan. But it’s not bad and the service is always great. U have met the owner twice. Once for a personal lumch and once for business related luncheon. I love the restaurant that sits snuggly on a corner in Hapeville, which is were I grew up at. The space for eating lunch is tight fore, but I am big and tall. Ladies no worries for you if you don’t have a big fat fanny then you are good! You also have the oprion of sitting up front where the tables are just gor 2 or 4. In the back the middle section is set up aa one continuous row of tables for 2 people per table. The food is just okay to me. I usually get a sandwich with soup or salad. I like the facr that it is very healthy, fresh and somewhat convenient. It will cost $ 12 for a sandwich and a tiny bowl of soup. I love sweets, but I don’t like creamy textured thinhgs like icing, or cream cream or sour cream. So I can only get cookies($ 5 for 6) from their baked goods section. But they don’t put nuts in their cookies so I just drive over to Bittersweet and get my dessert there.

Fresh Food! Friendly Staff! Quick Service! Never a bad meal. I work around the corner from this place, and it’s a once a week or sometimes twice a week stop for me. Love the soup, espcially the Lobster Bisque and the Turkey Sandwich. I also like the Quiche. The chicken salad is amazing! The bread is fresh. I can’t say enough, you just have to try it for yourself… and save room for desert!

Best place in hapeville handsdown. You guys are the only ones who really comfort me during my stay in Georgia, where there is fast food at every corner. Everything here I’ve ever tasted is good, I never had a bad experience or food item. Their strawberry soup is to die for! A must try.

I’ve been wanting to try Café at the Corner for a while, but with only weekday lunch hours it took a while to find the time. Finally found my way here a couple of days ago and Hubs and I really enjoyed everything. I chose the chicken salad on a croissant with pasta salad. The pasta salad was rather bland so I wouldn’t choose that again, but the chicken salad was pretty good. I’d order it again. Hubs chose the special of the day which was a Monte Cristo, it wasn’t battered like we’ve had it other places, but it was still very good. I think I prefer it without all the fried batter, actually. He had a cup of French Onion soup with his sandwich which we both enjoyed. The service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere inside is just adorable. Looking forward to a lunch date with a friend next month.

Lovely, quaint place with a wide range of delightful options. After looking all over the menu I had narrowed it down to either the chicken salad croissant sandwich or the quiche lorraine; then I spotted two things that took my heart away. Cream of spinach soup and a slice of chocolate mousse torte. The soup was nice, light and very tasty. The chocolate mousse torte was absolutely awesome. It was unbelievably light, the cake was very moist, and the mousse was REAL mousse — not just pudding. Totally delicious. I so want to go back for a slice before I catch my flight tomorrow evening, but they are only open for lunch — may have to do a lunch run tomorrow!!!

I love this place and am fast becoming a regular here! The soup/sandwich combos are unique every time I come and if you haven’t tried one of the desserts yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! Be prepared to wait in line at the counter but somehow that never translates into not getting a seat… they manage to turn over the dining room pretty quick.

The chicken salad croissants here are wonderful. To be fair I can’t review the other items on the menu — the chicken salad croissants are so good I can’t bring myself to order anything else!

What business can possibly make a go of it at three hours a day unless it is really, really, great? This is a terrific little french-style place. My lunch was the special paella. It had a lovely saffron rice, with some mussels, shrimps, chicken, red beans, white beans; $ 9. Oh yeah, that included a garlic vegetable soup and some baguette slices. Very slick little restaurant.

Café at the Corner offers a great French café lunch menu at a level akin to a more cosmopolitan setting and locale. Kudos to Eileen Randman and her staff. There are items on the menu that one expects at more upscale cafes, boulangeries and patisseries, like lobster rolls, exquisite quiches, and pastries created with enough perfection to adorn the covers of only the best gourmand magazines. Even the soups, salads, and sandwiches are prepared and served with panache. CATC is nestled in a corner spot of single story building between similar businesses on Hapeville, GA’s main drag. The whole approach is very pedestrian. Business is brisk and bustling. The demure proprietress is part of the line of workers that take, prepare and, and finalize one’s lunch order. With impeccable English enveloped in a full Parisian accent she greets you, takes your order, usually begins to prepare any sandwiches, and hands off other order requirements to her colleagues. All the food is tasty and appealing. Of special note are the salads, which are works of art, truly. If I had any criticism for Eileen and her staff, it would be the hours of operation, which are too short, and parking can be hassle. And the criticism stems from not enough access to such a good thing. If it weren’t for having to work and stay out by the airport whilst in Atlanta, I would never have run across CATC. Do yourself a favor if you’re staying at any of the hotels on Virginia Ave by the airport and avoid the bland chains that hover close to the hotels during lunchtime and take the short trip to CATC on South Central Ave in Hapeville for a delicious and memorable lunch. If you have the room, eat desert too; you can always take it to go.

Café at the Corner is one of the restaurants me and my coworker’s regular lunch rotation. While I’m never disappointed with the food, it’s not worth anywhere near the price. Today I paid over $ 9 for a small amount of corned beef, a slice of swiss, a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce, sandwiched between two cobblestone mill slices of rye(yes, the kind that’s like $ 3.50 a loaf at the grocery store). It came with a small cup of soup, but the whole meal I was thinking how I probably could have bought all of the ingredients to make several sandwiches for less than the $ 9 I paid. Granted, I didn’t, but when I pay over $ 9 for a sandwich and soup, I want to feel like I couldn’t have easily made it myself. On top of that, the«hot» sandwich was then microwaved for about 7 seconds. Don’t be fooled by thinking their hot sandwiches are toasted. Most of their sandwhiches are of similar quality, nothing special really. The french dip, however, is simple but still delicious. The soups are normally pretty good and they always have something different on special along with their daily french onion and garden vegetable. The chili however is more like chunky vegetabe rather than the thick, meaty chili I know. The desserts always look yummy but I never get them because I’m broke after paying for the sandwich. I guess they have to charge so much because they’re only open three hours a day during lunch M-F.

Hapeville GA is an interesting place filled with interesting restaurants like this one. It’s not the best of neighborhoods and not sure if I would have found this place at all if it wasn’t for my co-workers who insisted NY quality gourmet sandwich shop. Their food is freshly prepared and yes a bit pricey for Georgia but I didn’t think that it was all that expensive compared to what I pay for my lunches. You have to line up and wait a bit to order but it’s worth the wait. I would recommend their chicken salads which come in varieties. I have not tried anything else on the menu yet so keeping my mind open for the next visit. Keep it up guys. I’m coming down to see you soon!

I really do enjoy Café at the Corner. It’s literally built at the corner and is a French bistro/sandwich shop that offers variety in the city of Hapeville, but, well, we ARE in Hapeville, right? Pricey, Pricey! I went in and ordered their Monte Cristo sandwich, code for Grilled ham and cheese, and chose their garden vegetable soup. Serving sizes, for the price, are not going to satisfy if you’re starving, as the sandwich is less than a six inch sub in length, but man is each bite of the sandwich fantastic! Bread is buttered, edges are crisp, cheese, which can’t be changed(I don’t think) was just sharp enough to have kick. I have to admit that the soup was simply«okay». I will recommend grabbing a hold of one of their pre-packaged stack of chocolate chip cookies, which I didn’t get this visit, but they taste fresh and are very generous with the chocolate. My entire meal, sandwich and soup, came to slightly over $ 8. Yes, it’s a little more than i’d like to pay for amount I get in return, but the flavor is good, the service is friendly and the surrounding is very quaint. Oh yea, while there is parking across from the restaurant on the street, they have additional parking around back.

I went to Atlanta to visit family over the weekend and was absolutely starving by the time we landed and needed something ASAP. Our Enterprise lady told us about this great little lunch place(Café At The Corner) that was right by the airport and on the way to our hotel. Well, we loved it and were 100% satisfied by the time we left. They had such a great selection and the staff was really accommodating and sweet, even though it was super busy. I got the Chicken Salad Sandwich with a Fruit Cup and Pickle. It was by far, hands down, the BEST chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. My brother thought so too;) The rest of the family really enjoyed their stuff as well and that is HUGE deal. Not only do they serve lunch, they also have a whole pastry section that looked to die for.

A friend introduced me to this French sandwich counter /bistro today. You should definitely take the time to discover this hidden treasure for yourself. And there are many reasons to go, not the least of which are the hand-crafted sandwiches and soups. I had a veggie focaccia sandwich, with plenty of veggies on savory bread and a generous layer of mozzarella. Combine that with a cup of Cream of Mushroom soup, and a King Tut Pyramid for dessert, and you’re talking gastronomic satiety. My only complaint: stop using the microwave to reheat sandwiches. Café At The Corner is moderately expensive, and it’s worth every penny. The menu is extensive. You’ll want to go back. But get there early, it’s busy for a reason.

I have been to this place twice now and have to say that there food is superb. I tried the Jambon Special last time with their vegetable soup. My only complaint is that the portion seemed small and the price was high($ 8.50). They also have some dessert items that look amazing. I agree with other Unilocalers that the price is what will keep me from eating here more often than once every few months. It would be fun to eat here on the weekend. I wish they had weekend hours. Oh well. Bottom line. 5 stars for taste, 3 stars for value = 4 stars.

The best part about this place is their extensive menu. Their menu is so large that I often have some difficulty picking out what I’m going to get, but it’s nice because they have an impressively large selection of non-meat items(I’m a vegetarian). They also have a good amount of dessert items available which I’ve heard is quite amazing. The first time I went, I got(I think it was called) the seafood sampler, which was basically a homemade meal of lobster overdose! I love lobster, but… lobster mac and cheese, salad with crab patty, and lobster bisque was a bit too much. It’s all a good size for lunch, although it is fairly pricey — I think I paid nearly $ 10 for that meal. Still, I suppose I was paying for homemade food made with good ingredients… but the price alone possibly will prevent me from coming back when there are cheaper options in that area.

This place is a bit pricey and the prices keep getting higher(i guess with everything else in the economy). That is the reason for the 3 stars; it would have been 4. This place is great! it’s owned by a Paris trained chef(she reminds me of the soup natzi on Seinfeld, she’s very mean, always yelling at her workers). But her food is great! everyone seems to love her chicken salad. I find it bland and in need of more ingredients. But I do love the fact that they are on croissants. I really don’t care for her potato salad, because of the tarragon, but I do like her pasta salad. I have had all of the deli sandwiches here. They are all pretty good, but very expensive. She also has salads for about 8.49 each! there’s always a long wait, as she is only open for lunch. I love the desserts she serves, they taste so good and rich. her fruit is always fresh. Her vegetable soup is the best on a cold winter’s day. It is almost the best I’ve had. I love looking around in this shop, she has little trinkets and treasures on the shelves.
