I was looking for the Tatino chair for my son ‘s 7th bithday. Everyone told me at the Apple store that it was made in Italy and it would take 6 – 8 months to get it. Context found one within 2 months. it cost $ 1,500,00 but it was well worth it for my son’s birthday. Now he has his Apple computer and his Apple Chair !!! Thank you for all of your help.

I visited Context for the first time and was inspired by the variety of modern designers. I had high hopes of buying furniture until my salesperson rudely stepped away to assist another customer. After 15 minutes of no communication, I left the store and made numerous purchases at Ligne Roset because they have fabulous furniture and service. I don’t know if my experience was an anomaly but it was highly unprofessional.

Well, this time around we did not purchase, it was just a nice walking day. This is certainly not how it will go down every time! The space is filled with very well selected pieces from Cassina and Corbusier amongst other designers. The owner(wish I got his name) was AMAZING, a totally informed design enthusiast. There are a very selective grouping of vintage pieces mixed into the new items, and while prices are not the thing you concern yourself with in this type of environment, I must say the few prices I heard were VERY fare! Context is a breath of fresh air to Atlanta and should prove to inspire other businesses and homes through out this city!

Spending time at Context is a learning experience. The owners, Jeff Shelley and Pui Panich are informed about their collection and carry the most diverse range of products I’ve seen at any furniture showroom anywhere. In addition, they are well read, have several very interesting books and hard-to-find catalogs around the store and are endlessly enthusiastic about design. The collection has classics(Wegner), pieces likely to become classics(Grcic, Morrison) and pieces that expand one’s design awareness(Dixon).(context) carries furniture, lighting, rugs and other items like filing boxes, trashcans, etc. My wife and I have bought six Grcic stools and a Cappellini sofa from them and have found their prices to be not only competitive, but excellent. It is a pleasant surprise to find modestly priced pieces that one really wants to own, proving that it isn’t discounting product, but knowing how to curate for value that counts when selecting inventory for a store. In addition, Jeff and Pui are wonderful people and I would recommend a visit to the store on that basis alone.

Such a welcome addition to downtown Atlanta! This is an amazing furniture gallery impeccably selected by Jeffrey and Pui – 4 of the greatest eyes for design in the city. Context participates in a number of design related events around town, like the modern home tour and modern-atlanta festival. They’re committed to educating the public on why design is vital to us all.
