Dolce Italian

WOW, we had an excellent experience! We went for my birthday (June 9). My husband and I are born and raised New York Italian’s living in Atlanta and always looking for really good Italian food. This is a real challenge especially when folks give Carrabbas and Maggiano’s 4 – 5 Stars. To me those places are fast food and not a place I want to have dining experience at.
With that being said, we had a fabulous experience from our bread to dessert. Our meal was over the top. We started with the small meat and cheese board. The prosciutto (sliced perfectly and the best in Atlanta so far), cheese and the fresh mozzarella (which was warm and drizzled it balsamic and olive oil and sea salt).
Main course was Pappardelle alla Bolognese. It was Fabulous (it could use a touch more of cream that’s just me. My hubby loved his). Dessert was out of control, Limoncello custard ice cream in a vanilla chocolate shell with warm blueberry sauce.
Our server Michelle, was fabulous, we met Eddie and Mit too. We cannot wait to go back. This is on my Top 5 Italian Atlanta Restaurants.

I love this place. Classy. Chic. Sexy. Fun. Great wether you want to be seated and dine or hang out at the bar sipping on champagne.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dolce! We planned non-​traditional classy bachelorette party dinner here and our waitress (Regina) and the manager (Mit Amin) were superb! From the moment we were seated we were treated like royalty! The service, food, and wine selection were perfection. We highly recommend Dolce and plan to come back again, thank you all for your hospitality!

We are in town visiting family for the holiday. I made reservations an hour before and was greatly surprised they had room! I had a beautiful carpaccio and a carbonara. Having frequented Italy, I usually am disappointed with the American version. However, Dolce Italian did not disappoint. The beautiful views and relaxed, yet elegant vibe carried its weight. The staff were super sweet (even with my screaming toddler) and very helpful to anything we needed. We shall definitely visit again when back in time! Mille grazie!!!

Got seated right on time. Had such a variety starting with different cocktails. I had Apple Basil Smash which I loved, my friend had the Negroni and another a Tom Collins. We shared salads: the Caprese was delicious so was the Buratta plus carpaccio. Delicious bread w/​honey butter. Entrees: loved my chicken, grilled brocolini & fingerling potatos. Others had linguini with seafood, linguini & bolognese sauce & simple linguini w/​tomato sauce. Tiramisu & gelato for dessert. All the food was great. Very nice server. Definitely enjoyed everything. Highly recommend.

First, let me start by saying that the rest great ambiance and beautiful decors. The service was great. It’s also in a wonderful location. With that said, I cannot say the same for the food. I found the food to be sub-​par. It was not memorable and neither did it leave a lasting impression. Maybe it’s because I lived in Chicago for very long time and could tell the difference between okay versus great Italian food. I would say go for the company and the wonderful scenery. However, I would be mindful of the taste.

Had a great experience here last night with a group of friends and clients! Hosts and bartenders were very welcoming. Service for our large group was friendly professional and efficient.
Everyone thought the food was outstanding. Special mention to the pappardelle and the roast chicken, both as good or better than at Valenza. The only mediocre note was the beet salad, it was just average. Looking forward to going back!

Dolce is a simply, yet beautifully, decorated Italian restaurant. The food and the service were both gratifying.
I had the Ceasar salad to start with. It was presented more as a chopped salad with bacon, but was arguably one of the best Caesar salads I have had.
For my entrée, I had the Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare and it was perfectly executed. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was well-​balanced with rich seafood flavor and a touch of spicy.
My cocktail was the Apple Basil Smash and I highly recommend! You truly get that wonderful basil flavor shining through.
Dessert was the Affogato. I was intrigued by the description, but still surprised by the presentation. It was not quite what I expected (whatever that was lol), but it ended up being a most delicious espresso-​hazelnut «milkshake».
I’m definitely looking forward to my «Ditto @ Dolce»!

Being from Boston, I am always looking for pasta like the North End (which is very difficult). However, I fell in love with their bolognese and get it every time I dine here!
It is a very noisy atmosphere on the weekend nights. The dress attire can go either way, don’t be discouraged when walking in.
Cesar salad is my favorite starter, sounds boring… but trust me it is delicious and budget friendly!
Mit, the maitre’d is an absolute gem and always makes each experience welcoming!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here last Saturday for dinner. The food is delicious, especially the caprese salad, bread, and apple pie! Every single person that works there was extremely attentive, including the hostesses, our server, the waitstaff that serves water, and the kitchen staff that brings out the food. It was honestly one of the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. Even the manager/​owner came to our table numerous times to check on us and offer recommendations for food. It was too cold to eat outside but the outside patio/​balcony looked like a great place to have drinks and eat dinner. We would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back. I do not have anything bad to say about this place!

Went for Easter Brunch staff was friendly, presentation was nice, and food was seasoned well.

The ambiance was nice. The service was slow but the entrees were delicious. My bf ordered the whole roasted Branzino. It was absolutely delicious because I tasted it. Wish I would have ordered the same. I had the linguini frutti di mare that was very tasty and scrumptious. I also ordered a Caprese salad. We will definitely return especially since my bf loved the cocktails made my the bartender.

It’s a very posh place with really good food. We had the best martini I’ve had at Dolce. TheThe dining room is beautiful and the atmosphere was delightful (except for the loud after work party up front).
Pre-​dinner bread offering was really delicious, the butternut squash tortelli was something special.
Manager came to table and was very polite and charming.
Bar is too small.

Great ambiance, perfect for dates and intimate dinners. They don’t take reservations for groups larger than 12 on Friday and sat nights. If you are planning a group dinner for a party larger than that they will make you sign a contract with fix menu– I had to move my birthday dinner elsewhere. Food is great the lamb is my favorite by far. Will go back for date night.

My friend talked us into eating with him at Dolce Italian for its celebrity chef appeal. The Unilocal reviews were pretty unhelpful as to what was actually going on here. Busy? Upscale? Crowd? No idea. Do we REALLY need a reservation on a Friday night?
We took no risks and made a reservation for 5 at 9pm. And thank god, because this place was PACKED. We were finally seated a little bit after 9.
Overall, service was alright. After ordering, we got complimentary bread with some honey butter, which really hit the spot while we were waiting for our food. My friend and I ordered some pasta to share (this was our second dinner) and a couple glasses of wine to wash it down with. I ended up ordering a glass of Pinot Noir and we shared the butternut squash tortelli. It was nice for the chef to go ahead and plate the dish separately for two people. It was quite tasty. I’m sure there’s tons of butter in this.
There is an outdoor patio which seems great for every season except the middle of winter. Even though there ARE heaters outside, it is just way too cold to be sitting outside. Nice view, though.
Dolce Italian isn’t really my scene. But it was a cool experience, for sure. I never met Mit, as some seem to have mentioned, and the hostesses really are on fleek (my friend REALLY wanted me to mention that) and you’ll understand when you see them for yourself.

I love the atmosphere. Tried both dinner and brunch there and they are equally good. The butter for the bread is a must-​have.

Dolce Italian is in a very upscale and hip part of Buckhead and the restaurant matches the surrounding area very hip ! We had reservations for 12 at 9 PM showed up on time and we’re seated within about five minutes. We didn’t mind the minor wait because it was a new restaurant for all of us so we chatted about the Decour and grab a drink at the bar. Once we were seated in the restaurant the waiter told l us that they could do family-​style if we wanted and he also went over the menu along with the specials. A few people had appetizers, soups or salads and others just ordered entrées. The appetizers all arrived relatively quickly and once finish them the entrées were not far behind. I went pretty simple and ordered the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce along with meatballs and for simple dish sometimes it can be extremely messed up however, I have say that Dolce Italian’s pasta was cooked to perfection. The Bolognese sauce had just the right amount of meat along with some spice, tomato sauce and the meatballs were outstanding.
Once again whether you live in Atlanta/​Buckhead area or just visiting I would highly recommend making reservations at this spot and enjoy not only the food but the restaurant atmosphere as well.

I like to try new things, sometimes, it’s a wildly spectacular experience. At others, it’s is a disappointment of immense proportions.
I HATE TO BE MEAN, BUT LOVE TO BE FAIR. The only nice thing about this restaurant was their manager, Eddie, who did a great job at resolving an otherwise unforgivable problem by refunding the main course.
THE TALE OF A LOST WAITRESS. I lie, it’s not really a tale. She was just lost, along with the whole damn tale. Let me elaborate: I order a Barolo wine, but don’t have anybody to refill the glass, other than? Myself of course. The waitress was a ghost that would only appear once every half hour. Not only that, but I could see exactly what she was doing right next to our table and it wasn’t helping customers. Anyways, I might sound spoiled for complaining that a wine was not refilled, but I am paying for a certain level of service here and I didnt get it.
A MEAL, LOST IN THE SEA OF DEAD. This reference is to the heart. It was so, so over salted, that you must not have any taste buds to enjoy it. To be specific, I had the Fettuccine bolognese.
LAST POINT, THE CHEAP DECOR. Ah, they really skipped out. It’s stylish, it’s modern. However, they did not invest the money. The designers did a phenomenal job, but the owners just went cheap. That’s the bottom line and one of a few reasons that I am not coming back again.

After seeing Dolce Italian win Bravo TV’s «Best New Restaurant», I wanted to try this restaurant so badly and I made it happen– even though I live in NJ and Dolce Italian was in GA.
Their Atlanta location is in a beautiful plaza. My sister and I walked in and the manager, Mit, immediately introduced himself and seated us in the main dining room. The restaurant was very clean, pretty, and spacious. The view from their outdoor seating area was beautiful.
We ordered a good amount of food. Nothing we had just «decent», it was better than great. Although it’s really hard to choose, the beef carpaccio was my favorite appetizer. I had the risotto as my entrée; my sister had the branzino– both spectacular. We had two deserts to end our dinner.
The service was amazing; they were on top of their game. Mit had us laughing all throughout the meal. He even brought us a bottle of this delicious Pinot Noir– his favorite. To top off the experience, the chef even came out to say hi to us.
Dolce Italian Atlanta is a must go and a must come back!
