Ate there last night, food was terrible! Chips were cold, salsa was like biting in to an onion. Honestly I hope they improve because the only good thing I see in this business is the location

This place is now closed. A gaping hole in the CNN food court line up.

Came here after dinner because the bison steak did not satisfy my big appetite. I ordered their soup and beef taco. The portion was just right because I didn’t need too much food. For the soup, I got their chicken soup. It tasted pretty good. I didn’t eat the chicken because it looked really rough. As for the beef taco, it tasted really good. Towards the end, I just ate the beef and scrapped the tortilla.

Typical white people Mexican food considering this is a spot in a tourist trap. The food was average at best. My taco, enchilada and flauta(real flautas are made with flour tortillas, mine was made with corn, therefore, making it a rather large taquito.) were alright. My mom had a margarita that was virgin, even though it wasn’t suppose to be. No Tapatio or Cholula was available either, which was a huge disappointment for a «Mexican» restaurant. All this really is, is a glorified, overpriced Taco Bell. I was not impressed, then again, I was not expecting all that much either.

This is located in the CNN building food court, which we didn’t know as we headed out to find it. It was Labor Day & only a few places were open in the building. My nachos came with canned cheese poured all over them. While my friends all had real cheese in/on their dishes… They looked worse than if they had come from Taco Bell across the way(which was closed). I didn’t eat them & ended up eating at the Metro Café(which always rocks).

Worst Mexican food in the city. Possibly the worst restaurant in the city too. The service was terrible from the hostess to the server to the manager, who we had to deal with because my friend found a bone in his burrito. I will never go again and neither should you.

The service was bad but the food didn’t help either.

The food was pretty good for me when I had the 3 chicken tacos for dinner last night. The service on the other hand was not. The waiters seemed overwhelmed and didn’t bring out a free refill on chips and salsa. The waiter was disrespectful when he said no to my sister when it came to her request for salsa, and it took 5 tries for my sister to get a «Lime» for her water. What made the experience worse was my sister’s order for her Chile Relleno was messed up. The cooks messed up when they melted the cheese on there when she specifically asked for cheese sauce poured onto her meal. I like the location and convenience of the restaurant before going to a game at Philips Arena, but it would not be my first choice to go eat there for Mexican Food.

I can’t believe I let someone talk me into eating here. They should not only be ashamed to call what they serve«Mexican,» I’d go so far as to say they should be ashamed to call what they serve«food.» The service was prompt… probably because we were practically the only people in there. But our server was creepy. Sorry, Don Juan, but you couldn’t pay me enough to go back there.

I work locally and there aren’t many options for Mexican food on the hurry. Don Juan Catina should be ashamed to serve the garbage they do. The only reason I went to this place three times was to see a waitress. Hasta la vista.

Bad food. Terrible service. Not enough servers for pre game crowd that should have been expected.

It’s a little more expensive than other Mexican restaurants but serves the same food. Then again, you’re not paying more for quality; you’re paying more because you’re inside a venue. This isn’t to say the food is terrible and gag-worthy, but it’s not the best taco I’ve ever had. It certainly got the job done in a jam before a Thrashers game, but that’s about it. One thing to note is that the cheese dip sounds pricey until you order it — it’s a giant bowl of melted cheese that the entire restaurant could split with you. Yikes. It’d be nice if they offered a smaller portion, but I guess they assume if you’re coming to a game, you’re with 50 other people. If you don’t want fast food like Chick-Fil-A but don’t want the longer restaurant wait time of Taco Mac, this is a good balance for you. Do expect to pay a little more because of where you are, but don’t expect the best quality taco. Better than Taco Bell to be sure, but it’s nothing like the magic of Buford Highway.

Horrid, they rely on out of town saps in the CNN Center to stay in business.

After a visit to the aquarium, I was famished. My friend and I went inside the CNN building and declined the food court options. No thank you(I already exceeded my Chick-Fil-A intake for the day). We looked around and saw this Mexican restaurant. At the entrance was a display of six non-mouth-watering entrees covered in saran wrap. Ever catch an accidental glimpse of geriatric porn in the adult section of your local video store? Yes, I was turned off myself, but my friend demanded that we ignore the crappy demonstration and try the food. We were seated in the back and the first thing I noticed were kids(like 10 years old) at the bar with their parents. The beers were in striking distance. Lucky them! I ordered the carnitas and a Negro Modelo. Wow, the pork chop(which came with your standard rice, beans and flour tortillas) was delicious but salty. Complimentary chips and salsa were also decent. Service was friendly and I was stuffed. Although the food tasted better than what I expected from the poor display in the front, Don Juan was an average Mexican restaurant masked by its friendly waitstaff. I guess patrons would only be victims of proximity. IFHTP1

We were going to see Smackdown at The Phillips Arena and wanted something besides«Food Court» food. We walked up and there were two hostesses at the entrance. One of them took us and sat us at our booth. A short time later, our waiter came over and asked for our drink order. I haven’t eaten in a Mexican restaurant in over 15 years so I had to ask my wife what I should get, since I don’t like beans at all. As I looked around the menu, my wife told me that I should try the enchiladas, so that’s what I got. I looked around the restaurant and it was pretty nice. The staff was really nice and the food was quick and hot. My enchiladas were great! I told my wife that if she wanted to go to a Mexican restaurant like this, I’m all for it! This is a great place to go and enjoy a nice Mexican meal and to relax! Definitely going back!

Once again, I find myself writing the word«typical» when describing a Mexican restaurant here in Atlanta. This restaurant is pretty good, serves up the same old combos as anywhere else. Definitely not memorable though. I may return if I happen to be in the CNN Center, but that would be the only reason.
