Entebello Modern Apothecary & Spa

I got their coupon off Half Off Depot. In honor of starting a new job, I’ve spent the last week or so doing nice things for myself. I decided a massage was definitely in order. The scheduling was easy, I had no trouble finding it (Google Maps finally got something right), and checking in was a breeze.
Emiko did my massage and she was very good. She focused on the areas I asked her to, but didn’t totally ignore the rest of the massage. I also liked the fact she didn’t insist on making small talk beyond the basics. I get a massage to relax. If I want to chat, I’ll get a pedicure. I think I almost fell asleep a few times. I didn’t get the hard sell for anything (probably because I used the Half Off Depot deal) and scheduled my next massage before I left.
If I had one complaint, it would be that the hot towels get cold very, very quickly. I found myself a bit uncomfortably chilly at some points, but that isn’t exactly their fault. I think I would’ve preferred either hot stones or nothing at all rather than an unexpected chill. I’ll be back again in July for another massage.

I really like Entebello — great staff and reasonable prices for the level and quality of services offered. I’ve gotten a facial here and it was really relaxing — my only complaint is that that the room where the facials are given is really small. But, I received so many compliments on how clear my skin looked for weeks after I had my facial.
Also, I’ve had mani/​pedis here and have had excellent experiences each time. Definitely ask for Danielle — she’s so accomodating and meticulous with her work — my nails always look perfect.
Oh, and they also have a wide varity of beauty products and gifts. I highly recommend this spa!

Great massage, loud room. I could hear the cars passing by outside (it was a rainy day) and the ladies outside getting pedicures laughing. They need to turn the volume up or sound proof their walls better.

I’ve now been to Entebello twice in the past 3 or 4 months and unfortunately I must say the negatives outweigh the positives. The first time, I went to use my ScoutMob for a massage. The technician was good and I enjoyed the massage (especially given the price!!) but it was so unsettling and totally not relaxing to hear everything going on outside the door — not only in the rest of the «spa» but also on the street. Obviously Atlanta has a lot of traffic and sirens all the time, but I’ve never been able to hear them, or the rest of the clients/​employees talking, laughing, dropping things, etc, during my service at other spas in Atlanta.
The second time I went for a wax and another massage. The massage was again good, same technician but same background noise which makes it impossible to fully enjoy the experience. The wax however, did not go so good. I talked, at length, with the esthetician about my sensitive skin and how I was nervous about the wax because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. She assured me that she had been doing this for years and it would be fine based on the wax that they used. Well, it wasnt. Not only did it hurt more then any other wax I’ve had during the actual process (her gloves got stuck in the wax that got left on my body and she didnt pull the strips fast enough.) I have ingrown hairs all over the place (not a cute/​fun place to have ingrown hairs) when I’ve NEVER had ingrown hairs before. Also my bikini area shape is uneven. After she finished she commented on how sensitive/​red/​bumpy my skin was looking (duh, I told you that to start!) and tried to sell me a product that might help with the ingrown hairs (already predicting/​knowing that I will have them based on the service is not a good thing.)
Unfortunately, I probably won’t be returning (even to use my «return-​a-​perk» from ScoutMob) because it’s not really worth it with all the other options in Atlanta.

I went for an Express Manisure and a Marine Spa Pedicure, worked with Danielle, and she was fantastic. I could not recommend her more highly.
That said, I don’t know that I’d go back. I went because I had a ScoutMob coupon, so I thought it would be a slightly nicer experience and relatively the same price. While this was true, I don’t think the services are worth the extra money for the future.

I had an online deal for a spa pedicure, and I added on an express manicure (i.e. just filing and polish). With tip, I still ended up spending more than I would at a normal mani/​pedi spot. Yes, this place is very pretty, but too pricey for these services, when there are more affordable (and very nice) spas out there. I don’t think I’d go back.
They do have some parking in the back (free), which is a big plus.

I havent utilized their spa services yet but I like this place because I believe they’re the only place that sells Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish in Atlanta. This is like, the best nail polish brand ever you should try it. They’ve also had them for 25% off every time Ive gone there. They carry a good selection of colors and i try to buy all their stock if I find a color i like. Sorry.
They’re usually very friendly and some day, I do plan to get a massage or something at Entebello!

Had 2 massage appointments booked here this past Sunday. Even though I work win walking distance of Entebello, I’ve never been inside. It’s so cute! Our massages were great & relaxing as was the atmosphere. My fave part of my visit was talking to Rachelle. She was so personable and fun… I can’t wait to return & chat with her again… so cute.
All in all, had a good experience :-)

I received a Groupon for Entebello as a gift last Christmas. Before then, I’d never heard of this place. This «stocking stuffer» gift ended up being one of my favorites. Since going to Entebello for the first time last January, it has become my exclusive spa. I get pedicures and manicures semi-​monthly. I’ve had one massage and it was exquisite. The service and personal attention is unmatched compared to the other spas I’ve been to in Atlanta. They remember your name after only one visit. Also, the prices are very, very reasonable considering the high level of service and personal care. I highly, highly recommend this spa.

Thank you for the response, Rachelle. However, when I called in December there were no appointments available. When I called in January, your receptionist was ready to book the exact services described in the Groupon until I told her it was a Groupon. Sorry, I’m not buying the fact that some of your contractors don’t take Groupons. If that is the case, then why are they working for you? You do Groupon AND Scoutmob. My guess is that you had too many discounted services coming in at once and got to the point where you would only accept clients who were paying full price.

I’ve had three services here. Still just «meh,» although I’ve had to update the draft of this review fro 3 stars to 4 stars because three days later my face is still amazingly soft.
I had a 30 minute massage and 30 minute facial. We started with the massage and afterward I felt like it was just a big, oily mess. Most of my tension seems to originate in my shoulders, so the extra attention there hurt while also seeming therapeutic. The rest of my body was rubbed down with heavy oil and then I was left to lay in cotton sheets for half an hour while I had my facial. That should have been enough time to de-​grease, but once everything was over I still vigorously rubbed my legs and body with the sheets to alleviate the greasiness.
The technician was friendly, but I have trouble relaxing in situations like this and would have preferred a little more «getting-​to-​know-​you» talk before we started. Even if it wasn’t small talk, I really would have liked to have heard more about the services. I honestly just laid there without knowing anything about the products or procedures being demonstrated.
I was there for an hour and it was more painful than relaxing. If I come back I think something with heat or warm rocks would be more beneficial than just getting a rubdown. Of course, that’s not really their fault. Just a lesson learned.
The 30 minute facial was painful during the extraction process (which isn’t normally included in that package) and nothing was explained as several different creams/​rubs were spread and wiped from my face. In the end I left with a red face that eventually transformed into a glowing smile that is still soft to the touch days later.
I truly appreciate their Groupon deal, but I don’t think I’m their target client. Despite being reasonably happy, I probably won’t revisit for services. Hopefully some of my female friends will appreciate coming here more than me.

The staff was very friendly, but my manicure lasted 2 days! I got a french style manicure with silver instead of white tips. The technician only put on one coat of polish, I thought it was a new technique! That mess lasted 2 days! Won’t be going back there!

I like this place, I really do. But I think a 30minute wait is unacceptable when you’ve made a reservation. I came back here after a great experience last time for the spa mani/​pedi summer special. This time I came here for a 30 minute massage followed by a facial. After my massage, I was asked to sit in the waiting area in a robe while the woman who was going to do the facial got her room ready. After about 20 minutes (at this point I was getting antsy) someone finally came over to apologize for the wait/​explain it would be a while longer. In the end it was a 30 minute wait.
Complaint aside, both the masseuse and the facial technician were friendly, professional and really listened to what I was looking for that day. I got some great product recommendations for my face as well.
I’m still willing to give this place another chance since for the most part I’ve had good experiences. I think though from now on I’ll just book one service at a time to avoid that kind of wait again.

Only had an underarm wax and they did a good job. But the real awesomeness of this place is the store… top brands you can’t get anywhere else (not even Sephora online) and something high end is always onsale!!! For a product junkie like myself… i try to stay away cuz it’s just that good!

Kimberly worked with me to select my spring Becca makeup and taught me quite a bit about application. I had a great time, learned a lot and stocked up on color and brushes. Really down to earth staff and cool music. I’m always on my way somewhere else when I stop here so have not had time to browse or have a massage. I look forward to it.

I took my mom to Entebello for a girls afternoon. She got a mani/​pedi (for a great price $ 35!) and I got my brows threaded.
My mom’s mani/​pedi was really nice, the person doing it really took her time and handled mom with care, unlike the other nail places that just herd you in and out.
Kiana threaded my brows and did a wonderful job! I am very picky about my brows, and don’t like them too thin. I warned her about not going thin, and she listened! She gave me a perfect arch, while keeping my brows fullness intact.
In addition to their spa services, they have a wonderful area where they sell lots of wonderful makeup, skincare, and even candles. Lots of neat boutique-​y lines that I’ve never heard of, and lots that I’ve seen in magazines, but never knew where to find them.
I wouldn’t say Entebello is «out of the way», but it is a place that you could miss if you aren’t paying attention. So keep an eye out, this place is definitely worth slowing down and taking a look at!
PS We pulled up a little side drive and parked in the back, that seems to be the best way to go.

I came here for a mani/​pedi. I think the place is nice, the mani/​pedi stations are nice, staff was nice, manicurist was nice. When i got there they gave me yummy tea and a lavender scented neck pillow, which was a nice touch.
However, This place is pretty dark/​not lighted well. During the whole experience, I was happy and relaxed. When i went to pay, the lady at the cash register asked me about my experience, I said it was all good. However, when I left the salon, I realized that the nail polish was kind of gooped on and not evenly applied. You could see that the edges of the nail polish were jagged and that the second layer of nail polish was not applied on the whole nail-​you could clearly tell because the layer was so thick. It’s hard to explain. Anyway, I hadn’t noticed at the salon because it was so dark. However, the person doing my nails should have noticed! I did not like my nails at all. I had to go home and take off the polish. I didn’t really like the shape of my nails either.

I had an excellent excellent excellent chocolate mani and pedi. The service was divine, the products heavenly (I even purchased a few items to take home with me). The cost, expensive! I can’t be throwing down a Benjamin often for a mani/​pedi. I always go during spa week though, when the price is cut in half. For a similar look and feel at half the price (and half the service) try Polished in Smyrna.

I love Entebello. Hell, my beau loves Entebello — secretly.
When my beloved nail salon, Honey, closed, I was simply heartbroken. So I patiently waited, hoping for Honey to return. Well, judging by how Honey is still closed to this day, you can assume that this «waiting game» wasn’t oh-​so successful.
Day by day, my nail polish was chipping away — which drives me to the point of insanity. My boyfriend, being the indifferent man he is, told me to try some new nail salon nearby. What?! I couldn’t just let go of my memories with Honey that easily! Ruthless, right? Deeply hurt by his inconsiderate words, I decided to take a drive by Honey. Then suddenly, there it was: Chic and beautiful sign that read, «Entebello Modern Apothecary & Spa.»
How could I have miss this? It was right down the street from Honey! So I made an appointment right away and went in. I was immediately greeted by amiable employees. Simultaneously, I was impressed (and blown away) by the beautiful store! The comfortable seats which have matching colors, huge mirrors, and all the beauty products! How can I not love thee? I also appreciate their discreet space in the lower level of the nail salon — called the men’s room. Thanks to their mindfulness, my boyfriend can get his mani and pedi in private.
Thanks to Entebello, now I can say «Good Bye» to Honey and «Good riddance» to my chipped nails. Phew–

You know those snotty salon shopkeepers who make you want to run screaming? Well, the folks at Entebello are totally not.
From the second I walked in, the staff was super friendly — and I got a full tour of all the shop goods (but way in a more helpful way, then in a ‘buy lots of stuff’ way), and they were great at helping me pick out a gift. When they call themselves a ‘modern apothecary’ they’re not kiddin’ — they have an amazing selection of products for body, face, hair and travel. They’ve pretty much got the monopoly on all the high end ‘product of the moment’ things you see in all those glossy beauty mags out there — give ‘em a call if there’s something you’re lusting after, and there is a good chance they’ll have it.
An awesome place to get a pamperworthy gift for yourself or a friend — and the spa gift certificates make good call too. I didn’t try any of their salon services (yet!) but it’s truly worth a stop just as a place to shop in its own right!
