Meet the Business Owner

Larry H.

Business Owner

Plants and flowers have been a passion since childhood growing up in Macon, Georgia, inherited from his grandmother — rumor has it she could root a telephone pole! After finishing Mercer University, he entered the US Air Force and was stationed in Europe most of his career, including six years in West Berlin Germany, providing a deeper affection and appreciation for floriculture in the European style.

After the Berlin Wall fell, Larry moved back to Georgia, settling in Atlanta in 1991, landing a job in an upscale flower shop. He was working as a showroom manager at the Atlanta Gift Mart — where he met Greg Brown.

Plants are his forte — both indoors and outdoors! There are several residential and commercial properties featuring his ‘non-corporate’ approach to landscape. Oriental and true European floral design are his favorite. When he has spare time, he likes to play softball, garden, camp, photograph and help with several charities.
