Great atmosphere and really good drinks! We came for the bourbon class and ended up having dinner. We will definitely come again!

I had the burger and fries. I love a good burger and this was pretty dang good. Since I’m from out of town, I can’t speak to the inconsistencies that others have spoke about — but the service was real good and the prices spot on. Tried a few different drinks off the menu — the bartender knows what he/she is doing. They were well balanced and tasty. The desserts were equally as good. I’d definitely visit again if I made my way back to ATL.

The biscuits are good and the pressed coffee is really good, the rest of the food was just okay and most was extra salty. I’m basing this on one visit but I’m not likely to go back.

One of my favorite spots in Atlanta. Great cocktails. Very knowledgeable staff. The burger is also my favorite burger in Atlanta. Get a fried egg on it!

Harper Station in one word to me is inconsistent. Sometimes they really knock it out of the park. Other times, it’s just not that great. As you may see from other reviews, the cocktails are the spectacle here. They have a fantastic menu, and many of the cocktails are quite good. The Bufala Negra is one of their most popular drinks, and is quite tasty. One of the best things about their drinks is that if you’re mostly a lightweight like me, you can drink one and be done. They’re pretty strong drinks, although it doesn’t taste overpowering. Food is okay here. It’s a little pricey, and is mostly inconsistent on whether it’s good, bad, or just okay. Service is hit or miss. The bar seating has been a more enjoyable experience than the regular dining.

For $ 14 I really expected an AMAZING burger, but instead I received a well-done mcdonalds gourmet with Kraft cheese. Kraft cheese? Come on!!!

Visited H Harper with a large group of friends for dinner. Thought the location was cool, at the rail station. Everybody ordered a cocktail and they were all good, but there was nothing super memorable about the food that made me want to come back. Had the Chicken fried chicken. There were some other things that sounded better, but at this point I’ve tried fried chicken at so many ATL restaurants I wanted to give this a shot.

I recently returned for drinks and to order from the dinner menu. Wanting to try a drink I have never had before, I ordered a Blood & Sand. I like Scotch and the other ingredients with the orange juice created a great tasting drink. The Beltline Burger is a double-cheeseburger. Two, thin beef patties(Due to their size, they are not prepared to a requested level of doneness) served with griddled onions, American cheese, house b&b pickles and Bibb lettuce. A fried egg or bacon are available for an additional price. I requested mayonnaise on the side. The burger was good. It tasted like a fresh, house-made burger. It is served with garlic-herb tater tots. I noticed cooper mugs at the bar and was planning on ordering a Moscow Mule however, they were Absolut branded cooper mugs for«Absolut Mule» cocktails. Absolut Elyx is served here, Absolut’s cooper distilled vodka. The ginger beer used prepared is in-house and that enhances the quality of the cocktail. The excellent libations here keeps my rating at five stars!

Have only been here for drinks, so I don’t know how the food is. BUT the cocktails are absolutely great, and especially at the affordable prices(I live in Buckhead, so I’m used to cocktails costing at least $ 10+). Great atmosphere and outdoor seating. If you want to enjoy a nice cocktail, this is the place! Also it’s built in an old train station which is awesome

Occasion: Friend’s birthday. :-) I read in previous reviews that they had valet parking. Thank goodness they got rid of that. I was able to drive into the lot and park with ease. They seated our large party(around 20 people) at two large tables near the front of the restaurant. We had one server for all of us. That was a bit troublesome. He seemed a bit overwhelmed. It didn’t help that people were moving spots. I couldn’t help it– someone stole my seat. :-| I hate people like that. I ordered a Pimm’s Cup to start. Wonderful job. On the strong side, but still yummy. I got the pimento cheese as an app. Cheese was ok. Not enough bread to go with it. Entrée was the burger with tots. Didn’t realize it was a double patty; not a big fan of those. My burger was WAY undercooked. Granted I didn’t tell him how to cook it; my waiter didn’t ask. But they should at least prepare at medium. This was medium rare and on the rare side of that. I just dealt with it instead of sending it back though. I think the kitchen was overwhelmed that night. The bacon has some branded name, but didn’t taste special at all. Overall, thought it was an OK burger. The tots were amazing though. I was able to save half the burger and tots for the next day given that I had an app. Dessert menu left much to be desired. After seeing a photo of red velvet cake here and seeing someone mention carrot cake, I was excited. But nothing called my name when I looked at the dessert menu. Went to Morelli’s instead. Service left much to be desired. I think our waiter was overwhelmed. Some in our party had some negative interactions with our waiter, as well. Order of food delivery was quite odd. I ordered my food probably about 20 min before the first folks(as I arrived late) and got my food a good 15 – 20 min BEFORE they did. As you can suspect, they weren’t happy about that. Take home: A number of us thought H. Harper is a great place for drinks, but not so much for food.

Best. Burger. Ever. This is a fine product! I would have just stopped there but since Unilocal requires a minimum of so many words in order to post reviews I have to say more. But nothing else was need to be said. Simple. Delicious.

Great craft cocktails and one of the best bourbon and rye whiskey selections in Atlanta. The food menu is a little pricey and i haven’t tried any food items. If you want an excellent cocktail with fresh ingredients you must stop by and have a couple. The cocktails are worth the price of admission.

Went here for brunch on a weekend. The place was relatively quiet. The front room has a lot of light. The back room is more like a dungeon. They have a modest but great menu. Tried the«train wreck» which is very tasty and tater tots were awesome. We had a mixture of coffee and bloody mary. The bar has an impressive collection of whiskey — across bourbon, real Scotch, … The service was a bit slow and we had to challenge them a few times, but OK even for a slow Sunday. Would be a great place for a date, date night or a couples Thursday. Go try it.

Every time I’ve been here, I have sat at the bar and received great service. Love watching them create cocktails. They have a great cocktail menu as well as a large selection of spirits and beer. I’ve never had a meal here — usually just a drink and a snack. My favorite appetizer is the smoked pimento cheese. It comes in a small jar and has a jalapeño-red onion marmalade on top and served with crispy bread. It’s kind of funny because they always give you extra crispy bread with your order. Why not just increase the serving instead of saying«here is some extra bread». Not complaining, just an observation. :-) The atmosphere is pretty cool being that it’s in an old train depot. Great place to stop in for drinks when in the area.

I would by no means say I am a regular here, but have been to H. Harper Station more times than I can count. This past weekend I had a large group who didn’t have a reservation. We were less than an ideal situation for any restaurant, considering we were showing up during the rush. Every single employee we dealt with through the night, from the hostess, to the bartenders, to the waiters were all very accommodating and polite. There was zero attitude or eye-rolling etc. It is one thing for a restaurant to knock it out of the park in a favorable situation, this crew did it with a smile when we threw them a curve ball. I’ve been to other bar-restaurants in Atlanta with this kind of reputation who act like they’re doing you a favor by allowing you into their restaurant. H. Harper Station always treats you like a guest. Also, the drinks are pretty much perfect. Try the Buffala Negra.

Being on both the Atlanta magazine’s 20 Best Burgers list and on a list compiled from Garden & Gun readers, I was giddy to try H. Harper’s Beltline Burger. Three of us showed up one chilly weeknight. Parking was a cinch in the free lot, and the place wasn’t very crowded. Unfortunately it was kinda drafty but I just threw on another layer. I guess that’s part of the charm of a big old space. But we all thought the building was so neat. If you love historical buildings, H. Harper will be a treat for you. I opted for the Beltline Burger with the add-on of bacon for $ 2. You aren’t asked how you want the burger done which is fine by me since then I usually nitpick if they followed my request or not. The standouts on this burger included the buttery toasted bun, lettuce a gorgeous shade of green, and the oozy cheese. Yum! Tater tots remind me of school lunches and Napoleon Dynamite. These were crunchy and I ate a lot even though I wouldn’t call myself a tot fan. Our trio enthusiastically gave the Beltline Burger six thumbs up. Dessert was good. I got a warm apple crisp that was appropriate for the winter weather. But I thought I could have made it myself. The other options didn’t really thrill me either. I’d skip the desserts next time and just focus on the burger and perhaps try a curated cocktail. I recommended H. Harper to a colleague who was itching for a burger, and she went a few days later and was happy with my recommendation. Hooray!

First visit. Had the deviled eggs app, They were good, just not great, IMO. I can’t remember the exact name of the dinner entrée, but basically chicken schnitzel with a cauliflower gravy. It was good, need some acid to spice it up, IMO. Drinks were awesome. Started with the Bitter Southerner, ended with the Drop the Beet, which was awesome. Not my usual Bourbon drink that I order. This was with rum, and had a tartness to start, but finished very balanced. Will be back.
