Established in 2012, Haven Insurance Group is an independent Personal & Commercial Insurance Agency based in Atlanta, GA. Our goal is to provide optimal coverage for each customer’s unique situation at an affordable price. As an independent Agency, we are not tied to a single company for our policy options. Instead, we review numerous policies from several of the most reputable companies in the industry to identify the policies that best meet your specific needs.

Michael S.

Business Owner

Haven Insurance Group’s owner, Michael Sussman, has over 10 years of experience in the Insurance industry. While earning his degree in Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Georgia, he worked at an Allstate agency where he developed a passion for helping clients understand their policy’s cost and coverage details.

Upon graduation, Michael began working in the claims department at Progressive Insurance Company. At Progressive, Michael strengthened his ability to walk clients through the claims process and take preemptive measures to ensure proper claim resolution, a skill that sets Michael apart from other independent agents.

In his nine year tenure as a claims representative and manager at Progressive, Michael saw firsthand what can happen when an agent does not properly advise a client on the details of a policy. After hearing, «Hmmm… I thought I paid for that» a few too many times, Michael decided to open Haven Insurance Group!
