The pastries and cookies are awesome. The sandwiches are pretty good, but not for the $$ they’re asking @ Buckhead location *** Go to the Sandy Springs location to get the combo(Drink, chips, cookie & sandwich) for the same price you pay for your sandwich @ the buckhead location

Both times I’ve been I have had their chicken salad. It was delicious. The second time I went, I had a bit more time so I opted to try a petit four. I am obsessed with them and I’ve had several, but none match up to the ones in my hometown. The ones here tasted like a little debbie snack cake. Not impressed.

Warm atmosphere with friendly staff. I was craving petit fours and my usual location was closed today. Drove over to get 4 petit fours which were $ 1.75 each. They were good. I guess I’m use to a certain taste and didn’t exactly get that taste. Don’t get me wrong it was very sweet and moist, I also purchased a large sugar cookie which was delicious. I think I’ll stick with my spot for petit fours.

Got a Reuben sandwich with chip and an Arnold Palmer for about $ 11. Great Deck! Wonderful View. Aside from staff fusing over personal business at the register, it was fine. Was able to park without a problem. Will be back.

Been coming here my entire life… Nothing tastes or feels more like home. Most people do not realize that mom and pop shops are the backbone of America and that its in places like this that you’ll find true passion for culinary perfection. Local shops don’t get their food at low prices like a chain like a la madeleine’s or paradise bakery. This place has character and It’s a tiny piece of the history of Atlanta that’s still beautiful today.

We decided to go to this bakery looking for some cookies on saturday evening to take to a dinner to my husband’s boss’ house they were about to close when we got there. the place was very clean but the staff was not the nicest. anyways the cookie selection was limited and they sell it by the piece, which for us is a little weird since we are used to to buy them by weight. anyways we decided to purchase some of their pastries we tried their tiramisu, the italiano, the cheesecake, a custard and some other that right now i don’t remember. The pastries were average nothing out of this world. I guess thought it served its purpose but next time I will just go to publix.

I ordered the small German chocolate cake and was very disappointed. The most expensive little cake I ever bought … $ 30. The best part of German chocolate cake is the icing with pecans and coconut which was very skimpy on this one. It tasted like a chocolate sheet cake with chocolate icing. But it was pretty. I just went back to read the reviews«not recommended». Interestingly enough they are about their sub par cakes! Maybe poor reviews don’t get posted.

I’ve been visiting Henri’s for my entire life, 23 years. My Mom brought me here as a child, and her mother took her to Henri’s when she was a kid, too. It’s THAT good. The sandwiches, shortbread cookies, and gluten free almond macarons are among my favorites but the best things in the building are the Mediterranean cookies. Seriously, out of this world good. I drive 40 minutes to Atlanta once a week for these cookies. Everything here is baked fresh, and it’s apparent as soon as you taste anything they make. I cannot say enough good things about the food and the people at Henri’s! There’s a reason they’ve been around since 1927. :)

I’ve been going to various Henri’s since childhood trips to ATL. I love the place. I do agree that thirty years ago the pastries were better… that said, I am grateful that the sandwiches remain unchanged… especially the pre-made ones that your can pick up w/turkey/roast beef, salami and a pickle

How can the fanciest zip code in the south have a totally average Deli? Henri’s is fine in any category – pretty good pastrami, pretty good pimento cheese, salads and po boys – but it’s the foodie paradise neighborhood that makes it pale by comparison. It’s plenty OK, but for $ 10 in Buckhead that’s a letdown.

This place gets BUSY which is good and bad. Good obviously because it shows how many people like it(I did too). Bad because the staff seems to get flustered, the parking situation is awful, and the herding of customers inside becomes chaotic during these busy times. Never had a bad lunch sandwich here and always yummy pastries.

I’ve frequented Henri’s over the past 7 years and have always been a fan of their lunches and baked goods. That is until this past weekend. I ordered a cheesecake from them for a small dinner party with friends. It was the only dessert at the party, and it was terrible. The cake part was lumpy and eggy and it tasted like they forgot to put in the sugar. The crust was mushy and flavorless. Not one person finished their slice, and we threw out the rest of the cheesecake because it was so bad. I called them today to tell them how bad it was. The bakery manager, Javier, called me back about 30 minutes later. He told me that he’d give me some cookies at my next visit. However since I didn’t save any of the cheesecake, he couldn’t refund the $ 40 I spent or offer a replacement of equal value. I definitely won’t be ordering from them again, and I doubt I’ll even go back for the cookies.

Best sandwiches in Atlanta! Everything is homemade, including their bread and is delicious! The tuna sandwich and roast beef are my favorites! So good!

One WORD. Decadent, visiting Atlanta I asked the locals where to go for some desserts and they all said Henri’s and boy was I glad I listened ! So many options all very inexpensive in comparison to“pastry costs” no line in the am I was in and out. Hot little spots that whenever I’m in Atlanta I will spot and indulge!

Yum! If I am in Buckhead and Henri’s is open, I am definitely stopping by! I am a sucker for those thumbprint cookies, even if they are a tad pricey. That just helps me practice moderation, right? The bakery staff is so helpful, too and very generous with samples. I never thought I liked petit fours until a woman in the bakery insisted I have a taste. I am still not sure that I like most petit fours, but I know I LOVE Henri’s version. I haven’t tried the sandwiches yet, but there is always a long line, so I imagine they are good. For now, I am just enjoying a chai latte and a delicious sweet treat. ***On my most recent visit, I saw the sweetest birthday party on the patio for a little girl. All of the girls had on chef’s hats and were busy decorating gourmet cookies. Adorable.

A good neighborhood bakery in the heart of Buckhead. Not distinctive compared with places like Alon’s but pretty good and reasonably priced. What I liked: 1) Their sandwiches are very good. I really like the True Mexican panini. Ingredients are also fresh and high quality. 2) The cakes are also very good. 3) Quick service for a place which makes hot sandwiches to order. What they could improve: 1) For a large bakery the selection is fairly limited. For example they make po-boys but no Shrimp po-boy. The cake and dessert selection is also smaller than at other places and they miss some of my favorite things(Black Forest gâteau, eclairs, profiteroles, petite-fours) 2) The bread they use for the panini is not great. It’s too flaky and dry after toasting. 3) The building has a weird smell about it. It smells like an old decaying building as opposed to fresh goods. Just a bit odd.

Almost a 3 star, but… I was so excited to try Henri’s. I’ve been 3 times just to make sure but it’s just ok. The tasty frostings and fillings don’t hide the dry, lackluster cakes and pastries. Publix baked goods are better, thus the 2 star rating. The workers are hit and miss in terms of friendliness too. Based on other reviews, it sounds like this is a much better bet for lunch options than bakery goods…

Don’t believe the hype. Almost $ 8 sandwich that’s like the size of a large slider. #THEREALMEXICAN They didn’t have anything I wanted. I really felt like the lady didn’t know what was on sandwiches so she just told me they didn’t have it. Why does a bakery have pre-made sandwiches? The refrigerator wasn’t working. The sandwiches were too small and flimsy for their price. My husband and I spend $ 22 for 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, and 2 bags of chips. RIDICULOUS! Especially when you finish and are still hungry. I’m good on Henris.

After our recent trip to Paris, I’ve been on the search for the delicate, chocolate mousse filled eclairs that I enjoyed there. To date, I haven’t found them(update: the eclairs of my dreams are OTP at Collet’s Bakery in Alpharetta! So worth the drive!). I was super hopeful for Henri’s to fill that void, but spoiler — they did not. We decided to venture over late Saturday afternoon, where we were initially met with complete parking lot chaos. We patiently waited and were awarded with a primo space; I don’t know why folks were so hateful in the parking lot to one another. At any rate, we got inside and patiently waited for our turn in front of the pastry counter. This darling older gentleman was in front of me, and the cursive list he held in his hand was lengthy and brought me much amusement, so much so that I didn’t mind the wait behind him. I decided to try the éclair, macarons(lemon, vanilla, and coffee), and the shortbread cookies, which looked just like my favorite cookie from my hometown that I enjoyed throughout my childhood. Éclair: tasted just like a chocolate covered doughnut with goo inside. Yummy if you like that sort of thing; absolutely heartbreaking if you’re looking to replicate a Parisian éclair experience. Macarons: similarly disappointing; great texture, but lacking in sparkling flavor like the ones you’d enjoy in France. Thumbprints/shortbread cookies: OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, tasted just like what I ate growing up! My heartbreak on the eclairs and macarons were quickly forgotten after biting into these cookies. 99 cents each, they are a thick, perfect shortbread with yummy hard frosting. The frosting-to-cookie ratio is absolute perfection. I will definitely come back to buy more of these — SOEXCITING!!!

After getting my hair taken care of at nearby Van Michael Salon in Buckhead, I decided I would go searching for Henri’s Bakery on foot. There was still snow on the sidewalks and streets from the Atlanta snowstorm of January 2014, so I had to be extremely careful as I exited Van Michael and headed in the direction of the North Face store. From that point, it was maybe a three-block stroll. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so I was more than happy to do it.(Why doesn’t Atlanta have more sidewalks, dammit!!) I wasn’t sure what the storefront was like and when I saw the old-school neon sign for the bakery, the idea of what a French bakery looked like clashed with what met my eyes. But I was in for a treat, ladies and gents! You can tell this place has been around for a long time, as soon as you walk in and notice that the place does have the same look as the new, trendy bakeries. Who cares about trendy when the food is good though. When I made my entrance, I wasn’t sure where to head and almost started spinning around rapidly to get a view of everything at once. I didn’t want to fall flat on my butt, so I refrained from carrying out the act. I was drawn to the pastries and cookies and marveled at all the treats that were on display. Someone immediately checked to see if I was ready to order, which I wasn’t because I am such an indecisive weirdo. So I browsed carefully and decided that I would leave Henri’s with one less pistachio macaron. I had to try one. I also glared at an éclair from the side and decided that I would snatch one of those bad boys too. A pair of shortbread cookies and I was ready! My choices were quickly boxed up and I took the box and acted like I knew where I was going. I looked at the cakes and noticed that there was also a deli counter, from which I am sure yummy sandwiches are served on their own artisan bread(I am surmising that they do this, as they are a bakery, after all). Registers are past the deli counter, in the dining room area. I paid with my card with no issues(I don’t know if there is a minimum, but what I got was quite inexpensive). I sat down to give my éclair a try, especially since my belly was reprimanding for not having had lunch. The éclair was pretty good, but I admit that I have another place that I prefer a bit more. Later on I tried the shortbread cookies, which I did not end up finishing. I could recognize the quality but they also weren’t my absolute favorite shortbread cookies. But that pistachio macaron. Lawd haf mercy! It was fantastic. I would say that it is one of the best, maybe tying with Douceur de France for me. I don’t recall that it had the issue of being cold and needing to come to room temperature but I may be wrong. This is one thing that digs into my nerves here in Atlanta, as I was so spoiled when I made my way across the Atlantic Ocean to try these tiny vividly-colored confections in L’hexagone(France has this nickname due to its shape. Bam! You just learned something new!), where they are prepared fresh and can be consumed immediately upon purchase with no unpleasant surprise of biting into very firm buttercream. Macarons have become somewhat trendy and more and more dessert places in Atlanta are churning them out. This does not mean they are doing right by the little almond-meal cookie sandwiches. The pistachio macarons that I have tried are sorely lacking a rich but not overly sweet buttercream with the decadently light aroma of pistachio. This buttercream was close to what I remembered. It was not too much nor too little(this sin is committed at many places, with the Asian bakeries being notorious for not putting sufficient filling). I am looking forward to going back to satisfy this yearning for good macarons and try something else. I feel that it is likely that this rating could jump up another star with just one other good experience.
