Inman Park Dentistry

Dr. Rodriguez’s office seems chaotic. He has twice used temps for cleanings I’ve had; one of them came close to harassing me about my not getting x-​rays. Some of the temps he’s had in his office have been badly groomed – pimples, dirty hair. His receptionist misrepresented his schedule when I had an emergency. I waited in his office for more than 3 hours just to get a crown glued back on. He doesn’t seem to supervise his employees, he is often not available, and he tends to makes scary announcements about such potential outcomes as gum work, biopsies, etc. He seems to always tell you the worst that might happen, even if he doesn’t know what’s wrong.

Absolute best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’m somewhat squeamish when it comes to dentists given past experiences. Usually I am extremely tense, and go through a lot of pain. I’ve been to Inman Park Dentistry twice now and both times were the most pain-​free, and gentle experiences I’ve ever had.
Their appointment system works like a charm with text message and email reminders. My appointments have always been prompt, usually being taken in a few minutes early actually. I have been recommending them to everyone I know

I’m the kind of person that hates going to the dentist. Something about people putting their hands (and sharp tools) in my mouth is just really unpleasant. I made an appointment at Inman Park Dentistry after getting recommendations from neighbors.
The staff was kind, gentle, and explained exactly what they were doing and why. It was the best dentist appointment I’ve ever had!
They also have email and text appointment reminders, which is really handy.

Since Dr. Leeks left, I have come here a few more times. Dr. Alex Rodriguez, who took over the practice, fails to carry the same charisma with his patients that Dr. Leeks had.
Dr. Leeks took time with his patients and remembered everything about me. It seems that with Dr. Rodriguez, good enough is good enough.
Dr. Leeks had a very good memory and was very astute to the issues I had. He worked very hard to make the environment friendly, professional and personal. Dr. Rodriguez had a hard time remembering my name and gave me the shortest post-​cleaning dental exams of my life. He didn’t seem to care much about my concerns and acted annoyed that I failed to get x-​rays (no thanks radiation).
If Dr. Leeks comes back, I’ll come back. Until then, bye bye IPD.

I wanted to try out Dr. Rodriguez and Inman Park Dentistry as it is very close to my house. However, I have found the appointment booking process to be so frustrating, I actually booked an appointment with a different dentist.
I emailed Monica who is in charge of booking appointments with my preferred days and times for appointments. She emailed me back 4 days later and said she had a couple of openings on a particular date. I emailed her back 8 minutes later and said any time that date worked for me and I would like to book it. She then emailed me back 7 hours later and said the appointments were no longer available and would get back to me with other options. That was three months ago and I have never heard from her.
Dr. Rodriguez might be lovely but until they make it easier to book appointments and have a more responsive staff, I can’t recommend them. Alternatively, booking an appointment with nearby Dr. Kearns was painless and instant.

Terrified? Dread going to the dentist? So, was I !!
But, Dr. Rodreguez and his staff… Monica in the front office and Leslie his assistant are almost as wonderful as he is! I went in skeptical and scared to have to look for a new dentist since moving to the Inman park area. But, dr Rodreguez definately made me feel at ease.
I had to get a root canal and a crown, which they took very good care of me and was Rey patient with me took their time and really wanted to make me as comfortable as possible!!!
I can’t say how much I really appreciate the staff and DR Rodreguez!!!

As most of us are, I’m terrified of the dentist and everything they do to me!!! Even regular cleanings scare me, so when Dr. Leeks and his wonderful staff told me I’d need two top wisdom teeth, and a molar removed I was not happy. I actually rescheduled my apt, due to conflict and my fears too. Then I found out a few days before my procedure that my Boyfriend would be out of town the day of, I didn’t know what to do. I called the office asking them if I would be able to drive, or if I should get a cab etc. I was shocked at first, by their attitude of «oh you’ll be fine» I thought Yeah right!!! However the day came, and I drove myself, I did take a small dose of xanax prior, and before I knew it I was sitting in the chair. Dr. Leeks is so laid back, he had on jeans and a t-​shirt which I loved. (I’m a nurse and I love dr’s that you can actually relate to and talk with) Anyways, I’ve had lots of dental work done in the past, over 8 teeth pulled before I had braces on etc, and I’d hear horror stories about wisdom teeth extractions. He did such an amazing job with the numbing shots, I couldn’t believe it!!! The first I couldn’t barely feel, the nerve block ones, hurt a bit but with no gas or anything I could take it! Then came the actual pulling part. I was worried I would hear him cracking and pulling, but literally a few minutes later (I’m talking maybe 3 mins!!) he was completely done! I was so shocked I couldn’t believe it so I turned around to look and sure enough three teeth were laying there, all intact! Not one crack or broken piece. As I said you here horror stories about them taking hours and my own bf had a horrible experience when his dentist left an entire root in his gums, it was almost .25 inches long! I then realized why his wonderful staff wasn’t worried about me driving myself, he is so amazing at his job and I can’t thank him or his staff enough!!. Thank you guys for being so patient with my silly questions, and reassuring me I’d be ok. I knew I was safe in your hands. I will forever be recommending him and his staff. Definitely a 5 star place!

I am new to Atlanta and found Dr. Leeks and his staff to be very nice and good at what they do. Their office is very nicely designed, they have tvs for when your getting your teeth cleaned. The whole place is very new. Dr. Leeks and his staff are very personable, friendly and take a genuine interest to get to know you better. Not much else to say but a good place to go for dentistry work!

Doctor Leeks is innovative & so easy to talk to. He is proving to be an excellent communicator & makes me feel really comfortable while spending time in his chair.
His staff is very friendly & the Hygienists «talk» to me just enough. A little «nice to meet you» and some chit chat at the beginning. However, once you have your fingers all up in my mouth, you’re not prying or asking for my life story. The front desk has also been very pleasant to work with. Scheduling Appointments & wait time has been quick and easy.
The office itself is really beautiful. Very clean & spacious with an excellent location (Inman Park). I get to watch CNN (or anything I want) while I get my teeth cleaned. It’s awesome.
I highly recommend New Image Dentistry & Dr. Leeks if you’re looking for quality & hip dentist!
