I have purchased flowers from her many times– at least 6 or 7 bouquets. She has always had a positive, super helpful and fun attitude. It blows me away to hear reviews of the opposite. She accommodates budget requests as well, but I agree it isn’t the cheapest place in town– but why would it be? It is in a very visible place in town, she specializes in tropical arrangements, and she has an excellent eye for modern arrangements. She will be my go-to florist for a long time.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this business went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and I wanted to acknowledge that. I live on the West Coast and wanted to send flowers to a friend at the last minute. I called at 1pm pst and I believe that the owner answered my call. I explained what I wanted something fresh, vibrant and not your usual arrangement. I told her my budget and then asked if they could be delivered the same day. Then I asked her if she could send me a photo of the arrangement prior to delivery to make certain that I liked it! She was a yes to all of my requests and listened to what I wanted. She called me prior to the flowers being delivered to make certain that I was happy with the arrangement. The flowers were beautiful, arrived fresh and everyone is saying how fragrant and beautiful they are! Thank you Island Flowers for helping me brighten a friend’s day!

The woman working on Saturday couldn’t have been less friendly if she tried. Store hours say they are open until 6pm; when I walked in at 3pm, all she would say to me was«we are closed». It’s a shame when workers in a service business have a poor and unwarranted attitude with potential customers who want to spend money on their product.

I ended up buying my wedding flowers from Whole Foods. I got everything I needed for $ 40 and made my own bouquet and corsage. They looked great! Why deal with a bad attitude from places like Island when you can do it yourself?

I called Island Flowers & Gifts and asked if they could deliver an arrangement to my wife for our anniversary. She described a very pretty bouquet with a mix of roses. Then she said it would be $ 189 for that bouquet. That was way over my price range, I let her know my budget was $ 75 and asked for an arrangement for that price. She said«not a problem» and then when I was ready to give her my credit card number I found out delivery charges were $ 25 extra. On my anniversary I came home and saw the arrangement that was delivered and felt ripped off. The bouquet was quite small with only a dozen assorted flowers and sat only 6 or 8 inches high including the vase. After spending almost $ 100 for flowers I was expecting a much more. I would advise using another florist if you are on a budget.

Wow. The owner of Island Flowers will put a smile on your face with her liltingly beautiful accent and great attitude — she’s been in business for 18 years, so you know she’s doing something right. This is in the same plaza as the Plaza theater and Urban Outfitters, and if you’re like me, you’ve passed it a million times. Not until now did I have a need to buy flowers. She whipped together a lovely bouquet, and the overall ambiance of the little shop is a pleasure. Definitely worth a visit for your next floral fixation!
