Food was ok, no worse than other J Christopher’s I have been too. Service wasn’t bad either. A little dark and gloomy with all three blinds closed all day but overall a good experience

I like J. Christopher’s …good food, good service. I know this is an odd thing but this location keeps all the blinds closed — it’s a beautiful day out and they have great Windows and have all the blinds lowered and closed… feels like a cave. Manager needs to think about atmosphere

Food is subpar and the service is horrible. I keep coming back here thinking I won’t have a bad experience but it NEVER happens.

Good food, poor service. We were the second table in on Memorial Day and the only table there for the majority of our visit. We simply didn’t receive great service for the number of staff that was there. Also the lid came off of our maple syrup as my husband was pouring it on his pancakes. It crashed down onto his plate and made a very loud noise and got syrup all over his hands and clothes. No one even glanced over to see if everything was ok. Sub par.

As we were being seated, a family was walking out and the hostess was apologizing and the woman said, «the service was horrendous! It was my daughter’s birthday and you ruined it!» I thought she was being a total b****. However, it took about 10 minutes for the waiter to even acknowledge us. He took our drink and food order at the same time. After 30 minutes of waiting for our drinks, my boyfriend had to ask the hostess. The waiter came over and verified our order with us(seriously?) and our food ended up already being ready so we got our food before our drinks. The food was good but the service was ridiculously slow. Also, I think it’s important to note that the two white women that walked in after us had the same waiter and got their drinks almost immediately. Then, he made them chocolate milk and took their order and IGNORED us. Not sure if it’s because my boyfriend and I have different ethnic backgrounds but I felt completely ignored there. Never going back.

Brunch on a Sunday sometimes is hard to come by. If you go to Another Broken Egg which is a few miles away, you might wait an hour to get seated, J Christopher is usually the alternative chain that I go to when I’m not willing to wait. Going there, usually there’s never much of a line, and by the reviews you might see why people avoid this place. It really is more like a slightly better IHop, the place looks like an IHOP inside, the noise, ambiance, and food quality are similar as well. When I go to J Christopher I usually get the Santa Fe omolette while my girlfriend gets the Benedict. The omolette and potato hash are filling, but nothing to write home about. It feels very pedestrian in general, I usually have to put hot sauce or ketchup to coax more flavor out of it. The biscuit in the Benedict is a bit hard, not as soft as you would like but the egg on top is cooked decently. If you had blindfolded me and asked me where the food came from, I wouldn’t be able to tell, even though I’ve been there 3 or 4 times, which is an indication of the type of food there. Not memorable, but cheap enough to get some calories for your Sunday afternoon.

This J Christopher’s is located within a shopping plaza with eats and shops such as Com Grill and Jos. A. Bank Clothiers. EXTERIOR/INTERIOR: Entrance is at the corner of the restaurant. Once inside, it’s very yellow mellow as far as the paint coat. Lively with cute portraits like the Batman & Robin. Many booths available and dining tables with chairs. There’s also a low counter top dining area around the registrar near the kitchen. PARKING: Private lot — plenty of parking Dined here for breakfast(9am) on a Monday morning with a friend. It wasn’t too busy so there was no wait. We were seated immediately and brought coffee upon request. Coffee wasn’t very warm… meh. FOOD –South Beach: scrambled eggs, 2 slices of Canadian bacon, fresh fruit and whole wheat toast. This entrée wasn’t bad nor was it great. It was delicious and on the lighter side. The fruits were fresh so yes please! –Strawberry Waffle: a Belgian waffle with strawberry and whip cream. It was perfect. Big and just the right amount of crisp. –Spinach & Bacon Skillet: comes with potatoes, sun-dried tomato and bleu cheese. It was delicious. I had a small bite. Overall, food was good. Service was good. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. I probably would visit again and try other items on the menu.

The food is decent. It’s better than having to cook my own breakfast but nothing spectacular. I have had great meals and average meals but I don’t find it to be consistent even though I usually order the same thing(goat cheese omelet).

Will Rodgers never ate here! The noise in the place is unbearable. The coffee is hard to come by. Cheese grits are regular grits plus 8 shreds of cheese plus 30 cents. The wait staff has the personality of white bread toast. The good news is there’re plenty of tables to be had Sunday AM. But they don’t have the help to keep you from waiting for one.

My family and I have been here multiple times and yesterday I went with some relatives and had a good brunch. In Dunwoody we have now for breakfast First Watch and Another Broken Egg and I have been going to these two choices lately but my husband and son still prefer J Christopher’s.

This is a wonderful place to visit! The staff is always awesome and the menu selections are just as awesome. They have healthy meat options for you to choose from. The ambiance is really warm and bright.

I have had brunch here plenty of times. They always have attentive and polite wait staff and great menu items. It is a little pricey and they don’t serve alcohol.(What’s brunch without mimosas?) it’s more of an ihop type family place but still. If they served alcohol I’d give 5 stars.

We like coming here for breakfast. The food and service is always good. My favorite thing to orders is the sausage and gravy skillet.

Attentive staff! The waits are long so snag a chair or two at the breakfast bar without delaying your hunger.

I’ve been to a few different J Christophers around the Atlanta area, and have always been very happy with the quality of food and service. I especially love their coffee… not too weak, not too bitter, perfect for me! I would normally give a J Christopher’s 4 stars, but I docked 1 start from this one for the front. We walked in to a fairly disorganized front, and it didn’t help that the two young girls running the front of the house weren’t very concerned. Our waitress was very nice and pleasant. The food was great as usual. I had the Shrimp and Grits, with 2 eggs, and a side of bacon. I was completely stuffed and satisfied. And the coffee really hit the spot! I also noticed that unlike other J Christopher’s, the manager did not come by and say hi. I would go back simply because it’s a J Christopher’s. But if I had the choice to go to a different one, I would. Not bad… just not as great as the others.

We visited J. Christopher’s for a second time. I was honestly disappointed in the food. We had an omelet and a BLT sandwich. The omelet was flavorless. The omelet was made as if they cooked the veggies first, put them on a plate and put a cooked egg on top. There was liquid underneath the veggies that saturated everything else on the plate. I doubt we go back there for breakfast. My hunt for a great breakfast is still on going, but once I find that place, I will let you know.

Why do I keep going back here? On this particular visit I ordered the Spinach & Bacon«Skillet». As described on their menu as: «A blend of flavors that make this the #1 most favorite Skillet. Spinach, bacon, sun-dried tomato with blue cheese crumbles». It should be called the Sun-Dried Tomato Skillet. I wish I had looked closer at the menu because I am not a big fan of sun-dried tomatoes. If a few were sprinkled in for a little flavor then it’s one thing but this was covered up in them. Where was the bacon? Where was the spinach? Meh. Blech. Pass. I’ve added a photo. If you have a thing for sun-dried tomoatoes, reference this picture when you need a visual fix.
