Specialties

J.R. Crickets is one of the first restaurants in the nation to serve Buffalo style chicken wings, and we offer some of the best wings you will find anywhere. From our original wing sauce, to our quality lemony pepper, buffalo barbecue and buffalo teriyaki sauces, we serve up the best wings period. Our ranch and bleu cheese are legendary, and are freshly prepared, in house, everyday.

Since 1982, we have been serving the Atlanta area and have grown from our original location on Spring Street, which has now relocated to 129 North Avenue NE, to a dozen stores across the city.

History

Established in 1982.

JR Crickets was founded in 1982 by Paul Juliano, a native of Buffalo New York. One of the first restaurants in the country to serve Buffalo style chicken wings, Paul found himself having to give away samples of the novel wings to a customer base who had never heard of the food.

The legend of JR Crickets was born. By cooking the wings traditionally and using high quality ingredients, such as home made bleu cheese and ranch dressing, the business took off.

Over the years, the menu has expanded to feature outstanding burgers, barbecue offerings, hot dogs and seafood.

On Christmas Eve of 2013, the original store on Spring Street suffered a severe fire and the building was heavily damaged. The Original JR Crickets then relocated down the street to 129 North Avenue NE, where it currently stands. The North Avenue location opened on June 10, 2014.
