Jagor & Jagor, DDS

I’m proud to say I am a third generation patient of Jagor & Jagor DDS. Most everyone who works there has done so for as long as I can remember, and become a sort of second family that you only see twice a year. I don’t think I’m the only one who feels like this; in the waiting room you often overhear things like «how are the grand kids?» and stuff.
Over the years I have had everything from my teeth cleaned to my teeth pulled at this practice. As someone who is not especially enthusiastic about having dental work done, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a traumatic experience. Don’t get me wrong, having cavities filled or teeth pulled is no cakewalk, but I’ve never felt terrorized. Both Dr. Jagor Jr. and Sr. do a great job of communicating what they are about to do, if it’s going to hurt, and how long it’s going to take.

I was referred to this dental practice by my sister. It seems that I was a late adopter. Interestingly enough, I was the last to schedule a visit as she had already referred everyone in our extended family to this practice and they all love it. So, I needed a dentist and decided to join the Jagor and Jagor family fan club and I have not been disappointed.
When I called to make my initial appointment, I was a little taken aback. Peyton answered my call and it felt to me that I was talking to an old friend that you just haven’t seen in a while, not scheduling a dental service. I went through the normal explanation that they were not covered by my dental insurance and she was very patient as we went through the details of what may or may not be covered (she gave me a lot more useful information then the insurance company did). I decided that I am willing to cover any additional charges out of pocket, just to experience what had already been a very pleasing experience.
When I walked in the office for my appointment, Peyton immediately recognized me and greeted me warmly. I felt that I was walking into a small town, know-​your-​neighbors dental practice, not an industrial, get them in, move them out and bill them experience that we so often see in medicine today. It was refreshing and I loved it!
This is a father and son practice and many of the employees have been there for a very long time. Glenda was my hygienist and she told me all about the practice, having been there since the younger Jagor was just a baby. She did a wonderful cleaning without causing any pain, computerized x-​rays (very cool) and sent for Dr. Jagor.
My teeth and x-​rays were examined by the very charming elder Dr. Jagor and I was told that I am doing a great job and come back in 6 months. No one mentioned any ‘amazing’ teeth whitening systems that I must have or any corrective teeth veneers that I know happens at other dental practices. I went to the front desk with my toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss in hand and made my next appointment. I am hooked and I highly recommend this practice to everyone!
