Jared the Galleria of Jewelry

This review is based on our short visit to this Jared’s tonight.
This store does have some beautiful pieces. Mostly different types of gold, with and without precious gemstones. There is also a pretty large selection of high end timepieces, and a small section of sterling silver jewelry.
I gotta say though… if you and your partner have never felt any pressure in the engagement/​wedding ring department (or in those areas in general), I can almost guarantee that you’ll feel otherwise if the ladies who are working there tonight are there when you visit.
My beau and I absolutely understand that they are in the business of facilitating jewelry for occassions such as those, but if we answer «no thank you, we’re just browsing», to your asking us (very presumptuously) if we’re looking for an engagement ring, please don’t start asking us next if we’re looking for wedding bands!
There was one lady in particular who followed us the entire time, and kept asking us questions until we left. We get that the employees here might be bored, but why not find some glass to clean or something?

Worst customer service ever!!! Avoid this place. If you decide not to listen to this review and need a repair… add several days on to the delivery date they provide.

Jared Galleria is a money grubbing business who trains their workers to only act like they’re your best friends and care about helping you until they get their sale. I bought two wedding bands from them. Unfortunately, the wedding was cancelled and I had absolutely NO need for wedding bands and they refused to take them back and give me a refund. Sure, it was outside of the 3 month return policy, but what is a customer supposed to do with wedding bands when there was no wedding. Its pretty pathetic to see a company put their profits before the satisfaction of their customers. They offer you beverages, welcome you with a smile, say how excited they are to be part of your important day, but when you need to make a return, they treat you like trash and turn you away. And yes, it was employees from this location. Sure, this is just my specific, circumstantial incident, but its enough to make me give them a review. I will never buy from Jared, ANY JARED, again!

My daughter received a small heart necklace with a tiny stone in the middle as a gift from her grandmother. It was supposed to be under a lifetime warranty so when the stone fell out I took it in to Jareds to be repaired. We had the stone and the necklace was in the original box. The employee at the repair counter said he could not find our information in the system so they could not honor the warranty. It was clear the necklace came from Jareds and obviously the stone falling out was not caused by any misuse but they refused to repair the necklace under the warranty and wanted to charge $ 30 — the necklace only cost about $ 75. I asked to speak to the manager and politely asked if they could please repair the necklace under the warranty and she also refused. This was a quick 5 minute repair people! I took the necklace to Brown and Co. and they repaired it for free, commenting that the stone would eventually fall out again as it was a poorly made piece. Such POOR customer service. Do not shop here — take your business to the Shane Co. or Brown and Co. where customer service is a priority.

The customer service I received was great. They were so helpful and didn’t seem bothered by me wanting to see lots of things. AND they knew that I was just getting ideas and wouldn’t be purchasing that day. So helpful.

Do not buy your engagement right at any Jared!!! My ring is barely 2 months ago and appraised for $ 4000 LESS than what he paid for it. Furious is an understatement. Will be calling management at the store and corporate and wherever tomorrow.

They are scammers!
My family and I have bought many items from Jared, mounting to thousands of dollars over the past 7 years. My mother took there a necklace that had a small diamond missing to be repaired. She had bought that necklace for me from this store 5 years ago. They said if she had the receipt, they will charge her $ 30 for repair. She left the necklace there, went home, found the receipt, and called them to let them know to go ahead with the repair. The next day she went to pick it up, there was a different clerk there. He told her the cost will be $ 145!!! My Mom was aghast and stated that on the receipt she received from Barbara (the store manager) yesterday it clearly stated $ 30. He showed a copy of the receipt to Mom with the words «if extended warranty» hand written in the corner. No such wording existed on the copy they had given Mom the day before. She said that they are hijacking her necklace and gouging her. They had totally swindled/​scammed her. She insisted on them calling the police. They police came and agreed with mother’s findings, but said they would have to go to court to receive judgment. Mom wanted my necklace back so she paid the $ 145. I am a professional woman, and my family buys jewlerly. We have never had any dealings with any jewler such as this store. This no customer service. It is criminal behavior. I will be contacting their headquarters. I can assure you that none of my family or relations will ever shop from this store ever again. Terrible (I cannot even call it service) non-​service.

I went to this location to get something done to my engagement ring. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and helped by one of the associates, The whole drop-​off process took less than 10 minutes. I came back later that evening to pick-​up my ring and what a total 360. I was not greeted and although most of the associates were busy, they were helping multiple people… except for me. I guess couples seem to get priority in jewelry stores? I waited for about thirty minutes until someone actually acknowledged me! Not only that, but when an associate finally came behind the counter to help me and another customer, she walked to the customer behind me and asked him if he was next in line WHILE she looked at me. When customer mentioned and motioned that I was actually next in line, she blatantly ignored me and asked my mom what she needed. Of course my mom said that I was the one who needed help. To this associate: you certainly need to work on your attitude towards each and every customer. Just because someone appears to be young (I’m in my 20’s so I am) does not give you the right to overlook them, especially if their fiancé has spent money at your «fine» establishment. For the wait time and the age discrimination, I have to give Jared 2 stars. I wanted to give them one star, but the morning associate was very nice.

Five stars go to a worker named Chris.
Two stars for the lady whom did not give us a name and helped us on our return.
So my boyfriend surprised me Christmas morning with a ring he purchased from Jared. It was marvelous, radiant and sparkling. Unfortunately it was too big. He told me he had to take what they had so if it didn’t fit then we would have to go back to resize it. He mentioned how a jeweler named Chris was the only one to actually offer him any assistance as the others walked past him.
Upon our return I was raving about the good service here because I was here with my sister once before, when she was choosing out her wedding ring. Although what we got was a snooty lady with smart remarks as if we didn’t understand or weren’t competent enough to get. She treated us with a stuck up attitude. I’m not sure if it’s how we dressed or the way we presented ourselves that she came to such a conclusion that «we didn’t belong here». But After that me and my boyfriend talked about how rude her behavior was. And agreed As a paying customer we should receive the best customer service possible. It was so very wrong of her to just assume things and treat us the way she did. If only I had gotten her name I would’ve reported her.

My engagement ring was purchased from here, as well as mine and my husbands wedding bands. We got to know one of the employees and usually worked with him for all our purchases. I’ve always had a pleasant experience when I come here. I have been a regular client since I am always coming in to get my rings cleaned! I will return here to buy jewelry in the future!

I had an antique estate ring re-​sized there. I explained to the jeweler that it was platinum and ruby ring valued in the $ 5000.00 range, even though the platinum, due to the age of the ring, was not marked. I specifically asked that platinum be used for the resizing. About one month after receiving it back, I noticed a slight yellow hue to the re-​sized section. Now a year later, one can definitely tell that white gold (which has now turned yellow) was used for re-​sizing instead of the platinum. When I called to complain, I was told that unless they saw platinum markings, they would use white gold. This means that even though the weight of the ring and the bright white silver colored metal and the customer all identifies this ring as platinum, they went against my wishes and did not use platinum. However, the receipt says platinum was used and I paid a higher price for platinum.

Over all they provide good service and products at a good price. But I’ve noticed with my limited jewelry knowledge, I often know more than the sales associate. It’d be nice before dropping 6K on a ring that the associate knows their stuff.

Update: As of today, the ring is mine! And it is perfect! Thank you Jared!

I simply loved this JARED! Go Jared!
Ok so, I’m not getting to hype, however, me and my BF went into this Jared after we had dinner across at Perimeter Mall.
Anwyho, I was like: I always had seen it and notice that it was fairly large in size and was telling my BF this as we were walking out from the mall.
He said: Let’s go check it out!
Me: Why of course! Hehehe
As soon as you walk-​in you are greeted with a cute friendly sales rep and notice I said cute! Adorable she was…(Me = straight) sorry… lol
Anywho, I went to go look at the bracelets, however, my man pulled me over to the rings. WHAT??! Really??! NO way… But its sooo soon I thought! Well, he just wanted to get a feel of what I would wear… NICE right!
Let me tell you… the selections at this location are amazing! And you will not BREAK the bank… I mean ~ we do have to live afterwards… They had all types of ideas for settings, styles, etc…
I was def impressed! Who knew!

Ahhhhhh… Still wanting to get my mother the open heart collection, I realize Jared also supplies this line (not knowing they are the sister store of Kay’s **insert cat hissing sound**). I walk in and I’m immediately approached by 2 sales rep who greet me offer me something to drink and my guard automatically falls to the store.
I could go on and on about how happy I am that I decided to go with Jared for my Jewelry purchase. I could probably elaborate in 3 languages about the clean, light hearted atmosphere. But I’ll simply say that this location is worth the drive, worth sitting in traffic on 285 at 4:00 in the evening.
I definitely plan on returning to this store to get the silver Aquarius ring that I fell in love with for myself =)
