Office staff is unprofessional, they have no courtesy for their patients. Making money is more important than caring for patients. I have been waiting for the nurse to call me back for over 20 days and STILL have no call back. Seems like they just don’t care to spend a few minutes for patients. Dr. Pugh also didn’t diagnose me or care to test me with the proper tests when I went in for sever pain. I ended up at my other doctors office, who said I need surgery imminently due to a cyst the size of an orange. They also couldn’t figure out how my OB missed that!

Oh… I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Pugh! I have been his patient for over eight years now… he knows my name and history(what docs do now?) and I feel like he really cares about his patients. When having fertility issues, he directed me to another kind doctor. I never feel embarrased or unconfortable talking with him about ANYTHING! He is funny and thorough… and never pushy. After I didn’t get pregant from IVF, he was very kind and supportive after a horrible time in my life. I’ve never met a doctor quite like him, too bad there are not more.

Dr. Pugh has been my gyno for about 8 years now and I appreciate him so much. He explains exactly what he’s doing as you go so there are no surprises(even after all these years, you like to know what’s coming, you know), he answers questions thoroughly, and I never feel as if he is rushing through an appointment to get to the next patient. At one point a few years ago I had to have a number of invasive and painful(fertility) tests and he was incredibly kind, sensitive and gentle throughout that process. He is still practicing gynecology, but I understand that he has retired from obstetrics(although he refers patients as necessary) — so if babies or more babies are in your future, you may decide another doctor who’s active in both fields is better for you. And should you call for an appointment, make sure to get updated directions to the office. At my last appointment Dr. Pugh told me that they were moving, although the new office will still be within the Piedmont Hospital campus in Buckhead.

Dr. Pugh was great. I liked the fact that we got to sit down and talk before the exam. Nothing is more uncomfortable than meeting someone for the first time while you’re wearing nothing but a big piece of paper. He was very thorough and asked questions and listened well. Couldn’t ask for more from a doctor. He’s quite popular, too, so make your appointment early.
