Dr. Boxer did a great job, but the staff in the front were not very professional. I spent about twenty minutes waiting to be checked out while the employees gossiped, planned lunch, and shopped for perfume online.

I went here to see Dr. Boxer: I was seen instead by another man, who was very nice. However, Dr, Boxer signed the scrip, and I never met him. The prescription I got was not very good, and I now regret not making an issue of it. Front room staff placed a claim against my insurance before I had even finished looking at the frames they had there, and I eventually bought elewhere, learning later that they had charged my insurance and maxed out my benefits! A friend tells me she had the same problem here. My advice is, be careful and keep records if you go here.

You think your vision is bad? I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in the 2nd grade, and my prescription is a –7.00. I hate every eye doctor I visit(and therefore, change regularly) because they just don’t seem to get me. Yes… I know I’m not supposed to sleep in my contacts, but no one ever really tells me why, nor how exactly I should function without them when I can’t see three inches in front of my face. Glasses? I shouldn’t even be able to legally drive in those coke bottles with as much as they help. I have no idea why I first came to this place. I think I originally was hoping that the one-hour people might be able to give me glasses that weren’t horrible, and finding out the doctors were affiliated with Emory was just bonus. I had Dr. Boxer the first time around. He was good enough for me to come back. Last week I had another doctor named Ruth(Sorry Ruth — I know you went through years and years of medical school, but I’ve forgotten your last name). Despite not being a glasses-wearer, she actually got me. In a twenty minute period she gave me my new prescription, her opinion on Lasik(after I had asked), a good reason why I shouldn’t wear my contacts to bed(did you know that it creates blood vessels in your eyes that will NEVERGOAWAY?! I didn’t!), and then recommended a new contact lens that is FDA approved to wear for 30-days straight(though after hearing about the blood vessels, I probably won’t). The five-stars is rightfully earned beyond my great experience with Dr. Ruth; appointments are always available within a few days, I never wait long and everyone is always extremely friendly.

I went there this past weekend to get my fiancé some glasses. I didn’t get an exam but we both thought everyone was super nice. The ladies up front were all friendly and made small talk like the best. The doctor was a really nice guy too. Why only 4 stars? The selection of frames wasn’t the best. I wish they had had lower prices and more of a selection.

The doctor who examined me was friendly enough, but all the ladies up front were rude and acted like I was inconveniencing them. You expect good service when you visit any kind of doctor’s office. I hope they get better.
