I will never eat here again. A little back story, I am vegetarian. It says on their menu that almost all dishes can be made vegetarian, just ask. So knowing thai food well, I asked if their was fish sauce in anything. The waitress tells me yes. I ask if they can make any of their curry dishes without fish sauce. She asks the manager and he says no. I say what about pad Thai? She asks and manager says no. She then proceeds to tell me that every dish/sauce on the menu is made with fish sauce, except the peanut sauce. I ask them to make me pad Thai or another dish with the peanut sauce and they refused. I tell her that I eat Thai a lot and other places make my dishes with no fish sauce. She said there is no such thing and that they are all lying to me because there aren’t Thai dishes that can be made without fish sauce. They need to take it off their menu that they can make any dish vegetarian because apparently that is not true. When I confront them about it, they say that people that come in and want it vegetarian just do not want beef. They don’t mind other meats or fish sauce. Well guess what? They aren’t vegetarians. I ended up getting fried tofu, steamed noodles and peanut sauce and made my own dish. There were other issues as well and apparently they don’t care about pleasing their customers because they argue with them too. I will never be treated like that again.

I’m not a fan of this place. Very average thai for way above average prices. Lunch special should include soup or its not very special imo. The spicy dishes don’t do much for me either. Bangkok thyme up the street way better.

Always friendly service and good food. The mango avocado eggrolls and the volcano shrimp appetizers are amazing!

Had takeout from here recently and the food was just okay. Ordered drunken noodles with veggies and asked for it to be spicy. It was quite mild and flavorless. Overall I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I don’t think will be eating at Little Thai again.

You can find Little Thai Cuisine at 220 Sandy Springs Circle NE, Atlanta, GA30328, to the West of the intersection of Johnson’s Ferry Rd and Mt Vernon Hwy. Both roads interest near Roswell Rd so you can make turns heading West from either to access Sandy Springs Circle, which runs across both. The restaurant is in the«elbow» of the shopping center which is in the middle between the two roads. Little Thai is a cozy place with a warm atmosphere and some exterior seating via patio. The black awning has«Thai Cuisine & Seafood» prominently in silver/gray — parking is in the lot that extends to the road via several rows. The interior features woody accents typical of Thai restaurants and neat wooden tables with with dried veggies inserted into compartments beneath glass(I’ve seen similar tables at Top Spice, a Thai restaurant on N. Druid Hills). The service here is really good and the people we spoke with were very personable with their recommendations. The menu is fairly comprehensive with many of the items you would expect for a Thai restaurant. There are little peppers and leaves indicating whether something was hot or could be vegetarian — I liked the visual cues and it helped as we had one vegetarian with us on this visit. The menu is printed in color with a soft tan patterned background and three-dimensional orchid flowers — quite nice actually and a change from the typical humdrum you normally see — kudos to the restaurant for that. Prices seem to be about average for Thai in this area and perhaps just a little higher than those you’d find at Thai Norcross. We all decided to try the various curries(two, including the vegetarian are Indian so curry — natch!) and we all decided to get things extra spicy. In general all the ingredients were very fresh — the curries seem to all of us a bit light in application, lacking a depth that we would normally find in more traditional Thai restaurants — I’m assuming that things are dumbed-down a bit here for the American palate. I asked for mine«Thai hot» which usually gets me sweating a bit — none of that here. If you look at my photos you’ll see what I mean — the curry hardly sticks to the food — it’s more of a puddle underneath the ingredients. Not that the food is bad, it’s just a bit«weak» so to speak, from what we expected. Portions seem average to light, once again compared to Thai Norcross where the oval plate is covered/mounded for a little less in price. So how does this all add up? Restaurant was very clean, the service was good, the food simply OK. It prevents me from providing a higher rating that what I think of as acceptable — 3⁄5 stars. Will I visit again? Sure, this is a very convenient restaurant and near my work. Is there better in the area? Actually, yes there’s Erawan Organic Thai about a mile away. Advice to the owners? Bring up some of the fantastic, sophisticated flavors that Thai food is known for and only dummy-down the flavors for those requesting«mild» — otherwise you have everything else right!

Stopped in for lunch but was crunched for time. We let our server know the situation, and he was great with us as a result. He was extremely attentive, quick to take our orders and bring out our food, and even keep our waters full. The food was delicious, and our dining experience was not ruined by our lack of time. The server made sure we enjoyed ourselves, and for that we are grateful! Will definitely return when I’m in town!

New to Sandy Springs, we have been looking for our Thai place. This is it! The food was good and the service friendly. This felt like a neighborhood type place because of how familiar the servers were with the clientele. We will be back.

This is a new side of town for me that I am beginning to explore and it seems rich with dining options. Little Thai came up on my radar so I decided to give the restaurant a try. It is located in a corner of a strip mall near the busy Johnson Ferry. We chose to sit outside and I liked that the tables and chairs were not the standard black metal that makes tons of noise when you try taking a seat. A couple other groups were there as well, mostly local working professionals. Our server was very kind and seated us immediately and brought us some water. When we ordered a vegetable dish she recognized the appropriate questions to ask(is tofu OK, is egg OK), which I thought was very sharp of her to do. I chose Panang Curry with Pad See Ew and a Thai Iced Tea. The Panang portion may have been the lunch size, but filled me up plenty for a 1pm eat. The food was average for a Thai place, but I appreciated the pricing. I would return for the service, especially if I had a larger group since they seem accommodating!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant to get Chicken Pad Thai! I’ve come here a number of times to order the same plate and it’s been constantly delicious! We went there on a Sunday around 7pm and there was no wait. We had the choice to sit either inside the restaurant or outside on their patio. Our waiter was attentive and we got our meals rather quickly. I’ve also come here for lunch and the portion sizes are always perfect, not too much or too little! This restaurant is also on Scoutmob for 50% off your meal(up to $ 13.00). I definitely recommend this restaurant for folks looking for good Thai food in big or small groups.

There is a special menu, that you have to usually ask for that contains items not on the main menu. Make sure to ask for the Seafood Fried Rice as it’s one of the best dishes here at this restaurant, its not really traditional Thai food but it sure is delicious. Another item on the special menu is the Volcano Shrimp, which has a nice kick of spice to it, another one of my favorites. The service here is excellent by the way. The staff will give you great recommendations if you are not sure on what to get. They bring you extra spices like hot chili sauce without you even having to ask. They also like to check in on you just to make sure your experience there is a pleasant one. You can tell they have been trained well in customer satisfaction. Overall, this a great Thai restaurant that I will definitely be coming back to. My Recommendations: –Volcano Shrimp –Seafood Fried Rice –Thai Tea –Coco Chicken Soup

Stopped by for Lunch today. The food was really good and the service was fast. We enjoyed the Chicken Pad Thai Noodles($ 8.95), Coconut Soup($ 4.75/cup) and Chicken Basil Fried Rice($ 8.50). I’ve had the Pad See Ew and the Thai Spring Rolls and they are good too! I would recommend this restaurant if you were in the area and craving Thai Food.

Pretty good thai food for this area of town. It’s consistent and they will actually make your food thai hot if you ask, which I always appreciate! Repeats for me include the tom kha and red curry.

Scoutmob Fail I saw this place on Scoutmob and decided to try it with my friend. The place was nice with the Thai décor. We ordered fried spring roll as our appetizer which had sooo much cabbage than anything. I didn’t really like it. I ordered the masaman curry and my friend got chicken fried rice. The masaman was really good but the fried rice was okay. The food was decent, nothing special. When we got our check I showed our waitress the Scoutmob and she went back to change the bill but… It was only a dollar difference. False advertising! Don’t put 50% off then put in small print up to $ 7 off. It was only the 2 of us and she added gratuity on there which was more on what they advertise. Scoutmob said 18% gratuity«may» be added. She decided to take a little extra and she was barely at our table. So overall, there was nothing special about their food and I won’t be coming back.

Food and service is excellent. I had the masaman curry and my husband got the pad thai. We also tried the basil rolls and the thai iced tea. It was really really good but the portions were really small, especially for the the price. The tea was the best part by far, and the basil rolls were just 2 standard fresh rolls cut into 4 pieces each… so 5.50 seems like a good price, but it’s really just almost 6 dollars for two fresh rolls :-) But, the 3 pepper hot was not quite as hot as i expected. It was simply slightly hotter that mild. Also, i love that the masaman was served with carrots and cashews and potatoes and onions — not just potatoes and onions and peanuts. It was also served with brown rice and avocado — delicious, but a very small portion for almost 15 $. The pad thai was 13.50 but it was a small portion as well. The flavor was okay — not as rich or traditional tasting as usual. All in all, it was a good experience, but not worth the price. We desperately need the price here to adjust for the small portions, or we need larger portions. No coming back for us any time soon.

This is a good contender for Thai in Sandy Springs. Not the best but I enjoy it more than Erawan but not as much as Bangkok Thyme. They’re a good option for lunch in this area. Curries and classic Thai dishes are solid. I like that they use a rice paper«bowl» of sorts for presentation with their plating. But I do find some of their dishes a tad too sweet. Tasty but a little sweeter than I’d like my Thai dishes to be. Appetizers are good as well — particularly the roti/curry dish and the curry puffs. I’ll continue to visit as long as I work in the area. I’d like for them to take down the sweet a notch or three and add more spice.

Jasmine green tea. Aromatic, filtered, free of tea leaves. Thai basil rolls(non fried). Light, fresh ingredients to prepare your palate before the main meal(s). Served with a semi-thick plum sauce. Crispy cheese rolls. I did not particularly enjoy this. The«cream cheese» was unexpectedly too liquidy and not the typical cream cheese flavor I expected. The menu boasts of «fresh crabmeat» but I only saw a few strands of what must have been this crab meat. Served with a sweet & sour sauce that was actually better than the appetizer itself. Tom yum goong. Light broth. Spicy and sour and packed full of flavor that breaks through possibly any congestion you might have. May be one of the best I’ve ever tried. Pad see ew. Chicken was a bit dry but the rest of the noodles was flavorful thanks to the sauce. I liked that it was on a thin sheet of fried(rice??) paper. Seats inside and outside. Ambience looks typical of «mom and pop» thai restaurants. Service is efficient and quick. Plenty of parking.

Little Thai Cuisine is your typical strip mall restaurant. No doubt that it’s a faithful standby for those who work in Sandy Springs to go to during their lunch breaks. Reading through some of the previous reviews, I’ve noted that others have wanted their food a bit spicier. Well, at places like this, you can always ask. If you’re like me, you like your Thai food a bit… piquant. And by that, I mean ordering curry«Thai Hot»(as spicy as it gets) setting the mouth and throat ablaze with such heat that the sweat glands begin to open up along with the sinuses leaving you melted into your booth seat as a mess of inflamed skin, sweat and snot. Oh, yes — they can do spicy if that is what you want, my friend. Of course, if that isn’t to your liking, they are more than able to make your order mild and safe. We ordered a couple appetizers — the Thai Roti, a flatbread served with chicken curry dipping sauce and Chicken Curry Puffs. We also ordered Thai Tea. The Thai Roti was exactly like it should have been(definitely related to tandoori naan bread) and the curry sauce was flavorful. The Chicken Curry Puffs were like Thailand’s answer to empanadas. They too were very tasty, though I didn’t much care for the accompanying cucumber salad. After finishing our appetizers, our waitress was not to be seen again. Apparently they were swamped trying to keep up with other orders. We placed our entrée orders with another waitress(possibly the manager) to keep our meal going. For entrees, I ordered red chicken curry(Thai Hot). My wife ordered the Massaman curry. I may have gone a bit too far ordering«Thai Hot»(read paragraph above). It was tasty, but painful. Next time, I’ll simply ask for«Hot». I stole a couple bites of the Massaman curry off of my wife’s plate(to relieve my tongue from the assaulting red curry). Yum. Mildly sweet and nutty. The avocados(along with the other veggies) on the Massaman curry looked fresh and appetizing. All of that said, as good as it was, I’ve been to a handful of other Thai restaurants that were very similar(and just as good). Indeed, Little Thai Cuisine is exactly as a 3-Star Unilocal review should be, «A-OK». Note: At the time of this review, Little Thai has a Scout Mob deal for 50% off(up to $ 7 off lunch and $ 13 off dinner). Check it out!
