Lobby Bar and Bistro

It’s a fancy restaurant/​bar which is a really unique breed for an Atlanta hotel. I ordered the lamb chop with sweet potato, which is a must try. Their steak is really fine also the fact that it melted in my mouth. You could really feel comfortable bringing anybody here including your date or any family members and friends. Their custom drinks are fabulous if you want to chill out with their live music performance by the bar.

Good service, pleasant waitress, food was well prepared and tasty, comfortable atmosphere with a view of downtown Atlanta lights. Our group of 8 was very pleased.

For the most part I enjoyed the nice friendly atmosphere and professional customer service by the waitress. However the manager was horrible, rude, and condescending. After making a comment about the Falcons I responded in kind about the Giants he became very aggressive and rude. As I was the last person eating a late dinner he turned the Sunday night game off while I was watching it and said that should fix me. I was also reading a book so I stayed and he stated that I made him uncomfortable and he wanted me to leave. Said he would call security and tell them I was being rude to the waitress. This was a lie as she asked me to come to the bad as I was seated at a table. He was very rude to her and probably would have forced he’s to lie for him. Unprofessional and abuse of a false sense of authority.

I just happened to stumble upon this gem of an eatery while at Atlantic Station. I was surprised to see they only had one review on Unilocal.
I was instantly greeted by one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Jean greeted me and treated me as if I were the only person there. She reviewed the menu with me and told me her favorites.
I ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich on Ciabatta bread. It was delicious! The fresh, grilled, chicken breast was lightly blackened and topped with melted cheese. It was also topped with a delicious tarragon slaw and fresh tomatoes. With a sandwich order you get to choose a side of either soup, salad, or Parmesan fries. I splurged and ordered the fries. I’m glad I did! They were yummy!!!
The ambience is nice and inviting, the location is very desirable, the food fresh, and the service, impeccable. Big thumbs up!!!

The pizza here is great due in large part to the coal fired oven that’s always on in the bar. I’ve had a delicious Eggs Benedict as well. I ate here Thanksgiving and it was fantastic. It’s hard to improve on traditional turkey dinner but they served it family style and it was fabulous.

Came here on Valentines Day with my partner. Wasn’t too pleased about the set menu since there are some things I am unable to eat, would have rated it 5 stars if I could have ordered off the regular menu. The service, atmosphere and food were good. The desert was delicious. We will be back!

So I’m giving this spot 2 stars for the ambience. I ordered a drink and the fried macaroni and cheese. You get like 3 or 4 large fried balls. I cut it open and it was very loose, it also had corn inside which was surprising. The fried macaroni was mediocre and bland at best. Welp as I ate through the first one, I bit into a huge piece of plastic! Like a piece of plastic bag. I showed to my waitress, and she took it away and removed it from my check. typically I would expect the manager to come and apologize and offer some freebie. That didn’t happen.
This is a nice place to lounge and grab a drink but that’s it. They are a tad pricey ($ 12) but that was the only thing I enjoyed about this place. I will never ever eat there again

I like the simple ambience of this small restaurant in 12 hotel. The ingredients were fresh and you can tell that everything is freshly cooked. I ordered breakfast but they had a daily special that offered simple dinner n lunch options. The menu is simple but fresh and I like that! The flavor of the food was just okay yet good. My server was pleasant and attentive, and the food wait was short. It wasn’t crowded when I came on a Saturday looking to eat at a place that wasn’t surrounded by the brunch crowd. Overall good experience here.

I was invited by a bartender to come back to the Lobby at Twelve. A friend and I met there for drinks. We enjoyed the bar so much we stayed for dinner. The live jazz music was excellent and the drinks amazing. Thanks to my new favorite bartender Jay. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing.

Went to celebrate wedding anniversary. Great service and excellent food. The staff and chef were very friendly.

I can’t speak to what the restaurant is normally like, as I went on New Years Eve. They had a special menu and didn’t allow ordering from the regular one (wish they had mentioned that on their website!).
That caveat aside, the atmosphere was very nice. They even had live music. Just don’t sit too close, as it can be a bit loud (for me anyway).
PS: NYE menu is much more expensive! =P

So first thing you should note is that they have a new chef. Second thing with a new chef comes a whole new menu! Today I tried lamb sliders. I informed the lady young lady that I had a food allergy to beef. She made sure that it was taken care of… and by taking care of they cleaned off the griddle and washed all utensils before making my food. Who felt super Duper special? I DID!!! The sliders come with jalapeño peppers which were hot as hell. But still delicious. They used fresh grease to make my french fries because of my food allergies. And they checked in on me and made me feel like I was the only person there.
One weird sidenote… Young lady accidentally put calamari on my tickets when I did not order it. The manager comes over ask don’t you want the calamari. Lol. We’ve already cooked it we’re just going to throw it a way. I was not sure what to say or do… so I smiled and shrugged my shoulders. He walked away. Lol. They have a few other items that I would like to try on the new menu menu.

Sunday jazz, buffet, and a Bloody Mary bar… so fun! All the food I have had is really good and staff is awesome.

Few meals are life changing, but the pacific omelette at the Twelve is inspiring. The bottomless mimosas are great, but it’s really the menu that will keep you coming back.
During the polar vortex the staff worked round the clock to keep this restaurant going for three days, I’m proud to call them my neighbors.

Went here on a Tuesday night around Happy Hour time to meet a friend who lives across the way. I like the ambiance a lot but there was zero scene. Although my friend and I spent a couple of hours there and had some bites (which were delicious, esp the hummus), I would still prefer a bit of a crowd after work.

This restaurant is very extravagant compared to other restaurants in Atlantic Station. It’s a great place for special occasions though the price is VERY HIGH and the food quantity is VERY LOW. You do have to pay for parking but you also can valet for free if you have the ticket validated at the end of your visit. It’s a great date place! The music was a surprisingly good mixture of R&B from back in the day up to today. We went for a friend’s birthday and had a great time!
I wouldn’t recommend the scallops which come on a fancy plate at a price of $ 30 and only include 3 scallops!!! The pulled Chicken BBQ pizza was pretty good though not worth the price. You would definitely be paying for the atmosphere and the servers who refill your drinks every five seconds.
Overall, just an ‘OK’ restaurant.

I watched the wrong beer circle the dining room at least five times before resigning to my fate and just saying oh-fine-I’ll-drink-it-already.
Lobby at Twelve appears to have a barely acceptable craft beer list, until you realize that they don’t actually stock at least half of the beers on the menu. It’s really unfortunate that the servers don’t appear to realize this either. They don’t even seem to know what beer is. So when I asked for a Founder’s porter and was instead brought a Founder’s IPA ~10 minutes later, I should have recognized the problem immediately and just drank the damn thing. Instead I clarified my order for the server and became slightly miffed when she stared blankly back at me saying, «Is that a beer?»
Yes. Yes, it is a beer on your menu. There are only about six of them printed on there. This shouldn’t be so difficult.
Maybe my inner optimist shone a bit too brightly that night, but I actually expected her to return with the beer I had ordered. So when I saw her re-​enter the dining room with the same, rapidly warming bottle of IPA, I was crestfallen. The odd thing is that she didn’t bring it directly back to me. She walked in and out of the dining room at least four more times holding that bottle and nothing else.
Eventually after about 10 more minutes, she approached me with the news that they didn’t have the porter I had ordered. Looking disdainfully at the now-​completely-​warm beer in her hand, I requested a different IPA from the menu. Nope, she said – they didn’t have that one either. Okay, then. How about the Victory Golden Monkey? Did they have that one?
«Is that a beer?»
OH JUST GIVE ME THAT TEPID BEER IN YOUR HAND AND LEAVE ME ALONE.
So I nursed my warm IPA while I waited for dinner to arrive. Did I mention that I ate dinner at this establishment? Overcooked salmon plated on top of inexplicably crunchy creamed corn. My colleague tried his best to finish a burger which he had ordered medium but that was served scorched like a sad lump of charcoal.
After eating what I could salvage of my entrée, I ordered a coffee that never came.
Should have just stuck to the warm beer.
I do not recommend eating or drinking at Lobby. But if you do find yourself here, by all means accept the first item that is presented to you for consumption. It might be the only opportunity you have.

We only stayed at the hotel for a night, but I somehow managed to make my way down to the bar a few times :) I liked the seemingly low key atmosphere. The bartender we had was really nice and talkative (just the right amount of talkative.) I loved that there was a local beer on draft.
I sat at the bar at the bar for two meals and had one of the flatbread pizzas and a burger, both were really good. It was nice to have a decent food and beer option (at good prices) right inside the hotel. And it seemed as though people that were not staying at the hotel come there a bit since there were some regulars.

Came by for my dearest friend’s going away dinner and it was a good experience.
The appetizers seemed more appealing than thr actual entrees however. The appetizers are in large portions too.
The calamari was yummy :) and the sliders were pretty average. The ceaser salad complimented it pretty well.
The Georgia peach cocktail is definitely a good bet.
They also have a beer menu.

I went to Lobby at TWELVE last Thursday to cash in on some Summer Swag. Coincidentally, I learned from our hostess and server that Lobby is also currently offering an all-​you-​can-​eat pizza deal for $ 10 every Thursday night (6−9pm) throughout the summer. You can add all-​you-​can-​drink beer to that deal (basic beers only) for only $ 5 extra. After hearing this offer too good to refuse, my friend and I jumped on it.
The location for Lobby at TWELVE is self-​explanatory. It’s located in the lobby at TWELVE Hotel Atlantic Station. You can pay to valet or park in Atlantic Station’s parking deck. The first two hours in the deck are free. Note that the parking deck price schedule is going to change on July 11, 2011, a change brought forth by the new ownership of the property. Lobby at TWELVE only validates valet tickets and not Atlantic Station parking deck tickets. Boo.
I love the look and design of this place. It’s modern and chic. There are two bars, both with cool ambient lighting. The front and back dining rooms have floor-​to-​ceiling windows that face out into Atlantic Station and 17^th St. There are a few outdoor patio seats, which are good options if the weather is nice and you want to people watch. There are also a few areas with more casual, lounge-​style seating. This place can get loud and if you want to get away from the noise, you can sit in one of the booths in front of the inner bar for a bit more privacy. The hostess allowed us to choose our own table.
The AYCE pizza deal is simple. Each person gets their own pizza (thin crust) and chooses from any combination of the following toppings: ground beef, banana peppers, pepperoni, red onion, zucchini, and spinach. I told our server, Alteriq, to just give me a supreme (everything). This was a solid, cooked-​to-​order, pizza. All of the ingredients were fresh and the topping proportions were perfect. The pizzas came out hot from the oven and were served with a bit of Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper.
I also tried Lobby’s fried calamari appetizer, which my friend ordered. To me, fried calamari is fried calamari, no matter where you get it from. They mostly taste the same. Lobby’s version is relatively less greasy and is served with two dipping sauces, a pepperoncini mayonnaise and a marinara. I didn’t think either were anything special.
The service, when we actually got it, was outstanding. The restaurant was unusually crowded last Thursday, partly due to Summer Swag and the pizza deal, so the servers and kitchen were very busy. It took a long time for the pizzas to come out. Alteriq and the hostess were very accommodating.
The crowd at Lobby is diverse. I saw out-​of-​town business people, moms who brought their kids (one in a stroller), college students, and couples on dates. One of the Cheetah’s most popular dancers was at the bar. I only know this because someone pointed her out to me – I wouldn’t know. There were actually a lot of beautiful people here, so the scenery is nice. (I also saw Jarrett Jack in Atlantic Station after we left Lobby, but he was headed to Strip.) I’ll be back later this summer to swag their regular menu.
