This place has won the award (in my heart at least) as the best sandwich, en el mundo! My boyfriend and I frequent this place almost every weekend; it never gets old! My go to is the turkey sandwich with all the veggies, plus hummus instead of cheese.
I truly recommend LottaFrutta for both Atlanta visitors and locals alike. You can’t beat their authentic Cuban influenced sandwiches, smoothies or salads. My only wish is they were open later, so I could stop by after work! Be sure to check them out!

I waited at the register for 5 minutes on a Sunday with no one in the store except three workers in the kitchen. Not a greeting or «we will be right with you» from any of the employees. All I wanted was a strawberry and banana smoothie. The guy finally came to take my order and rudely said they don’t make that and I had to get something from the menu. Really… You can’t throw some strawberries and bananas in a smoothie for me??? So I ordered something from the menu. He recommended the mango pineapple smoothie. The smoothie was delicious but customer service left a lot to be desired.

This place is awesome. I’ve been here several times– best sandwiches in Atlanta as far as I’m concerned. They only offer four sandwiches and they are all amazing. Gun to my head I would say their Hav to Ham it is the best– their bread is nearly perfect, the slightly sweet taste, blends perfectly with the ham and cheese. So simple yet so delicious.
Excellent place to bring your vegetarian friends as they offer an array of salads and fruit cups that are highly rated.
I didn’t even mention the best part of this place. The fruit juices, simply amazing, they are perfectly balanced. it’s always the highlight of my visit
The wait staff is also pretty friendly and inviting. one time during my wait there, one of the counter guys shared about his experiences living in cuba– it was really eye opening. You can tell everyone working there likes working there, and likes working with each other. It has a real family like vibe.
The only negative i can say about this place is i wish i stayed open later (they close at 5) — because this would definitely my go to place for a late night craving.

I would normally give LottaFrutta a 4 star rating for food and service, but after being kicked out of the restaurant today AFTER I paid for my order and waited for 10 minutes for my ‘never to be seen’ sandwich b/​c a bigger more important order came through, they deserve zero stars. Sorry guys, I normally love you, but today was not handled correctly. I work in the customer service industry and this is NOT how you treat your adoring patrons. I would most definitely be more forgiving if you had offered to pay for my order since I drove all the way there and used up half of my lunch break waiting to eat. But NO. You still charged me for my $ 1.25 drink and $.75 piece of candy. Isn’t my return business worth more than $ 2.00? Well clearly it’s not even worth risking a 1-​star review.

A pretty awesome fruit/​smoothie/​juice shack that serves up some sandwiches and other bites. Pricing is decent at $ 4.75 however the cashier isn’t very interested in helping you decide.
The flavors are all natural, so what’s listed is what you’re getting. Could the ratio of flavors be better balanced for a less I-​Just-​Mixed-​This-​As-​I-​Went flavor? Probably…

Impeccable fresh fruit and creams. Delicious smoothies, with or without leche. Incredible pressed sandwiches with very fresh ingredients! I tried a majority of the menu in one sitting because we were all sharing, and not one bite was disappointing. I will definitely be making more visits!

Pretty decent fruit cup and veggie sandwich. I had the coconut cream fruit cup. The fruit was ripe and sweet and the cream was thick and more like a mousse (which i liked). Other than a few unripe pieces of melon, it was refreshing light snack. The veggie panini is nothing to write home about, but it was not bad. I also really enjoyed the fried corn.
The smoothies are good, however, they don’t use fresh juice. They got weirdly defensive about it when I asked if they did. Owner claimed no one uses fresh juice in their smoothies. Was odd and a little off putting.

I work down the street at WAX ATLANTA and I come here all the time! I’m hooked the guys that work here are friendly and attentive. I’m Filipino and in my country we love guava and it’s nice to find a smoothie place that serves guava.

There is a reason why this place consistently receives 5 stars: It deserves it.
Hopefully some entrepreneurs get inspired by LottaFrutta and pursue similar ventures across the nation, as this eatery has nailed it when it comes to providing quality, healthy bites that locals will return for.
Mind you, the Lower 4^th Ward is not the hippest part of town. Now that Krog St. has developed, there are more sweet spots around here… But for a long time, LottaFrutta was the out of the way, hole-​in-​a-​wall that you had to tell your friends about as soon as you discovered it.
I miss it when Winters pass by, because of the awesome homemade soups they make here. Be sure to check out their daily specials if you happen to be here for the colder months. The asparagus and leek soup has got to be one of my favorites ever, although I can’t stand asparagus. Not sure what they do to make it so delicious.
My usual order: Just Veggin’ w/​Ecuadorian corn & and order of Mucho Mango with a water base.
Their homemade popsicles are way better than King of Pops BTW.

Super friendly staff that was very patient explaining all their offerings to me. Absolutely loved what was suggested and can’t wait to go back and have another!

I’ve always heard good things about this place and finally decided to check it out. I have to say I should’ve came here a lot sooner.
I was in somewhat of a hurry and it was really hot that day, so I thought I stop by for something refreshing. Being a big fan of mangoes, the Mucho Mango smoothie felt like the perfect option for me. I actually had it with pineapple juice added as well, which might be overkill for most people. For me it was just right!
They serve a bit of everything here (website link below so you can check it out) and not all the options revolve around fruit in case you were wondering.
Just a fair warning this isn’t the biggest place in the world and they are limited in the amount of seats they have, but its great for take out and the wait isn’t too long either.
Check it out if you’re in the area. Definitely a go to spot for fruit lovers.
My Recommendations:
–Mucho Mango

It’s always a good feeling to walk into a place of business and be welcomed with open arms! As soon as I walked in, I was promptly greeted and was given a few suggestions and also given a quick rundown of what each item was. Soooo many good things to choose from but I settled on the lovin lulo smoothie and the conchita con huevos (a small sandwich with ham, cheese, and eggs)…so good. So good. So good. Cute space with a lot of options and great staff. I’m sure I’ll go back soon to try somethin new!

If you know me, I love plates of fruit, especially on a beach resort. For some reason, fruit always seems fresher when you order it outside the United States. I say this because whenever you order fruit at restaurants, you always get some pieces that are soggy, old, or tainted red with strawberry juice because they were sitting out for too long together.
Anyway, parking is going to be on the street, so be careful Suburbians not to park in front of a driveway or an entrance. Also, do not look for a restaurant-​like landmark with a huge sign that says LOTTAFRUTTA. This goldmine is on the lower level of a small house, so you might accidentally miss it. Just look for a house that has colorful seating outside.
The place is really small, but it doesn’t matter because what they sell is all that matters. Their fruit cups are spectacular and you have to try their homemade crema, which is ten times better than that nasty, artificial whipped cream at the grocery store. If you decide to get a fruit cup that doesn’t come with the crema, just ask them to give you a dollop of it on your order.
My partner always gets the vegetarian sandwich (which was highly recommended by a vegetarian friend) and a smoothie. You might get confused when you order their smoothies for the first time, but when you pick a flavor, you also have to pick a base liquid, which could be water, milk, orange juice, or pineapple juice. Since blended fruit gets a little too sweet, my partner always gets half water and half pineapple juice.
The workers are very friendly and if your order takes a while, be patient. Cutting up real fruit isn’t as easy as Fruit Ninja on your iPhone.

Never had fruit this good from any place in the city of Atlanta… it have a great family feeling to the place along with the staff can’t wait to go every week … go check them out

There’s nothing better then driving through midtown and realizing you have 30 minutes before they close to grab a smoothie!
I’ve had quite a few different smoothies and sandwiches and there corn nuts are awesome.
Biggest downfall is they close at 5pm everyday and service can be extremely slow. Even if you call ahead. But if you have some time, grab a smoothie to go!

Guanabana pineapple — I was thrown off when he asked me what juice base I wanted. I’m hoping that he juiced it freshly but I kind of doubt it. It was creamy but when I know juice is being added, I feel jipped.

After months and months of trying to find a time to come check out Lottafrutta, I finally did when I found out it was a few short blocks away from where we parked for the Inman Park Festival. Too close not to stop by, especially after walking around in the warm weather all afternoon.
I got the Cremolatta and it was fantastic! Fresh fruit (lots of melons) with that fantastic homemade crema. My fiancé got a smoothie that he wasn’t too crazy about the flavor combination, but it was flavorful and fresh.
Now I have to find another reason to go back!

So, funny story… on the way to the Easter Art Hunt, a friend passed by Lottafrutta and saw «the cutest couple on the planet» (her words) sitting outside, and insisted that we visit.
We had no idea what the tiny shop offered (though the name gave us a general idea) or what to expect, but I certainly didn’t expect to suddenly feel like I was on vacation! The moment you walk in, you feel like you’re in Mexico or Hawaii, and not because of themed décor, but because of the authenticity of the place. It is tiny, dim, smells delicious (WHAT WAS THAT AMAZING SMELL?!), and the whole family (the owners, I assume) were there, speaking happily and just enjoying the afternoon together in-​between customer orders. I loved it.
It is clear that you are meant to order and enjoy the outside seating options. There are a couple tables right outside the little restaurant and more set up in the shade on porches of neighboring houses (a tad confusing at first, but YES, those tables belong to Lottafrutta). There is nothing grand, swank or even pretty about the inside of the place, but the beauty in that is the compulsion to enjoy the outdoors with your fresh fruit.
Menu offerings include:
FRUIT CUPS– not your usual snack pack cups– these honkin’ cups a jam packed with fresh fruit (they have everything from your average apples, oranges, grapes and melon to pineapple, mango, and fresh coconut chunks) — to add to the mix, you can get the cups with their spicy seasoning, yogurt, nuts, or their AMAZING crème. Each served with an umbrella!
They have preset cups for you to choose form, but you can also request your own combo. I highly recommend a cup of fresh mango and their fresh crème.
SANDWICHES– I didn’t have the pleasure of trying any of these, but they looked amazing coming out.
I kind of want to live in this neighborhood just to frequent this establishment.

This place has quickly grabbed my heart and, well, tastes buds— the fresh fruit smoothies, the fruit cups, sandwiches! Unngh! Too good.
If you’re at least looking for another smoothie shop, this is your place, but the fruit cups, especially the cremolatta and limonatta, are absolutely delicious.
I’ve had the pleasure of only sampling a handful of items though, but here’s my take.
Limonatta– A friend purchased this one, but it was on my list of next to try. It has lots of tasty fresh fruit like the others and is seasoned with chili powder and lemon juice making a sort of sweet and mild fruit cup. Really one of those that either you’re already familiar with the addition of chili powder/​chili on fruit or just trust that it’s amazing.
Cremolatta– This one has my heart. Comes with two dollops of the most delicious coconut cream I’ve ever had. You’d think, oh well… that’s either too much or not enough. pending on how much cream you want with your fruit or not. It’s quite a bit if you prefer not so cream covered fruit, but, really once you taste it, you’re going to want to just fatten up on coconut cream. Best part though for me? This sinful treat is dairy-​free.
Mango x Passion Fruit smoothie with Pineapple juice — Too tart for me, but if you like subtly tart mango smoothies, then this might be up your alley.
Mango x Pineapple w/​Pineapple juice — My smoothie take all. It’s creamy, sweet, fresh (all their smoothies are fresh though) and flavorful. I really can’t find a better smoothie to come to mind. Plus, it’s not skimping on the size. This one isn’t tart, just sweet.
We also tried the Just Veggin’ panini — As panini’s aren’t my sort of thing, it wasn’t all that appealing to me, but overall a light and good crowd pleaser. My friends also seem to enjoy it. Sandwiches also come with roast corn nuts which have a nice salty and roasted flavor.
The owner and staff all seem really friendly and knowledgeable too and also seem to enjoy dogs. If you let them know you have a pup, I believe, they have water or treats for your pooch at ready.
Anyways, fun, fun, love of a shop. Will definitely stop in whenever in the area.

This place is amazing, hands down. The fruit is ripened in house, the coffee is delicious, and the sandwiches are super filling and wonderful. I just love how authentic this place is from the soda selection to the fruit selection to the owner and her story.
You’ve gotta try the coconut whipped cream and of it’s Winter, the soups!

LottaFrutta just became the damn love of my fruit-​loving/​medianoche-​loving life. We just moved to Inman a few months ago and we just had our first visit whilst walking to the small shop on a blustery day. I pass by the shop dozens of times throughout each week and really love the little nook its in within O4W as it feels like you’re stepping into a neighborhood in Miami. The architecture is even a bit modeled as such. Just love it.
We showed up right after they had opened the door and we were in the mood for a good spread. Here’s what we had –
Cremolatta — Wow. The fruit is fresh and delicious and the star of the show is that crema. Ohhhhhh, sweet, wonderful crema. Fun fact: That wonderful substance is vegan, friends. Made from coconut cream. It is one of the best items I’ve ever had paired with fresh fruit. I can’t wait to try this again and on an even larger menagerie of fruits.
Queso Quartel — Really one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches there is.
Elpavo Del Ocho — Freaking yum. Medianoche bread, roasted turkey, and cheese. I added tomato and pickles and loved every single bite. The bread is definitely my favorite part. They press their sandwiches in a panini press and it really brought back memories of eating sandwiches from our neighborhood Tienda when I was a kid.
Side — Cancha! You’ll find cancha at Ecuadorian and Peruvian restaurants as a starter or side. It’s a toasted corn that is similar to bar nuts meets popcorn. However, LottaFrutta’s is by far superior. They made it with a bit of onion and salt and it is wonderful.
Mexican Hot Chocolate — Cinnamon, cayenne, deliciously creamy chocolate. It was stellar. We shared this on our way back home and drank it dry. So good.
I am in love with this tiny shop. The service was so friendly and conversational, the interior is darlingly small, and the food exceeds all expectations. I can’t wait to come back for coffee or lunch in the very near future. Especially for that crema.
