Lotus Hair Artisans

I went to Lotus Hair Artisans back in late Summer and I was enticed by their 50% off for first time clients.
The facility itself is beautiful and upon entering you feel you are in a upscale salon which you are.
I approached the receptionist and told her I was here for Ashley. I had called a few weeks before and was told by David that only select stylists participated in the 50% offdeal.
As I was ssaying I met Ashley and she was very nice. I told her I had a knot of matted hair and inquired if she could possibly untangle it. After looking at my hair she said she would probably have to cut it out and I said OK.
I also told her I wanted to have my hair colored also.
We went back to have my hair washed. Then she took me back to cut my hair.
I felt the hair cut part was rushed and just soso.
Let me rewind a second When I first sat down t her station and she asked what. I wanted I told her and later s she was cutting my hair I mentioned about the 50% off and she said she was not participating in that special. When I told her I was told otherwise she said she’d honor it anyways as her facial expression clearly was not happy about it. Needless to say maybe thats why I got an uneven and rushed haircut, something I might expect from a Great Clips or Supercuts.
I paid for my cut and colot and left her a nice tip.
After I washed my hair I noticed that the front area seemed about an inch longer than the rest but I thought well I just wont go back here again.
A few more weeks elapsed when I noticed a stain matching the hair coloring she used appeared on my shirt and remembered when she colored my hair she didnt use a smock and so I tried to get the stain out but it would not budge.
After talking to a server at a place I frequent I asked her if my hair looked uneven and she said yes. She is also in school studying to be a styllist and as the conversation progressed I told her about my experience at Lotus and decided I needed to cll them and let them know that I was unhappy with my experience.
So in early NovemberI called the salon and asked for the owner and was told it was Eric and she said he was with a client. I. left her a message and she said he’d call me back before the end of the day. Someone from Lotus called but did NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. I tried to call the salon back a little later and was told he had left.
I asked her to please have him call me but thst I would be out of town for a few weeks.
When I returned there was no message and no call from Lotus according to my Caller ID.
I called the salin on Friday December 12 and was told that Eric doesn’t handle customer issues its the salon manager David.
She said he would be in on Tuesday December 16.
Tuesday December 17I had a message from David so I called him back.
He was cordial and I told him of my concerns and the next thing I know a woman gets on the line saying she is Nina the owner and when I told her about my complaint with my experience she said wht was Iblooking for and I asked her what she was going to do s bout it. My shirt stained, my hair uneven etc. and she said if I came back in one or two weeks she would have taken care of it but I waited so long. When I told her about my shirt and no smock she said they have security cameras everwhere and thatI did not get a 10 minute haircut but was there for 45 minutes and that Ashley did put a smick on me and she can show me the footage if Id like and I said Im not going to argue with you. Next time I’ll know better. Thank you for your time.
Let me say that I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE .
I did not want to give them an uunfavorable review but felt if they REALLY CARED THEN THE TIME ELAPSED WOULD NOT BE USED AS AN EXCUSE.
There I have spoken my mind.

Nina Ladd had been doing my hair for over 15 years! She had never disappointed me, and I’ve sent many happy clients her way. She is an expert with color, and over the years she has lightened my hair with highlights. Everybody every compliments me after a visit with Nina!

I just got my hair washed cut and dried by Lauren. She did an amazing job love my new hair style. At firat I was sceptical about layers, I have really cury hair so she cut my hair with layers to help with the volume. She was really sweet, and explained what she was doing very well.

Today is my first visit to Lotus and the facility is gorgeous. I love the chic décor with a touch of Fuschia. The atmosphere is really relaxed and inviting! I followed Yang and Lynn from Carter Barnes and they do an impeccable job. Yang has been doing my hair (cut & color) for about 6 – 7 years and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend him for any hair service.

I used to go to Van Michael salon, but after my beautician moved, I sought out a new one. I was recommended to Ashley who is super sweet and gave me my best haircut yet. I was in the middle of growing out a bob and absolutely hated my hair. She was able to make me love my haircut again and growing out my hair hasn’t been as miserable. I also appreciated her honesty when she said, do not come back for at least 3 months. This may not be the case for everyone growing out their hair, but I appreciated the fact that she was honest and wasn’t looking for me to come back every 8 weeks. The salon is super clean, modern and everyone’s super friendly.

I love everything about this salon. The name, the location, the space, and the staff! I stopped by on a whim after driving by and noticing the sign for 50% off your first visit. I am so glad I did because I discovered Tran’s artistic talents! I trust Tran and allow him to choose my color and style each time. I am always amazed by how my hair turns out. He is so thorough on his cutting and even gives me tips on how to style my hair so I can recreate his creation after I leave the salon with perfect hair!
When I am not chatting up with Tran, I also observe the other hair artists and their work which is very commendable.
I would recommend this salon to all my friends.

Marie whips my hair once a week. and for 50 bucks its perfect. the products are awesome, and the place is also. go try my girl, shes awesome!!! knows how to really get the hair straight, and ts so healthy now. same stylist for close to to years now. i’m from Detroit we dont play about the hair, i wouldn’t steer you wrong.

I’ve had the same hair stylist since I was middle school. After a bad haircut, she was the only person I trusted with my hair. However, that was in Chicago and I’ve now lived in Atlanta for four years. So I couldn’t be flying to Chicago all the time just to get my hair done. I’ve been searching and searching for a place that I could trust to do a great job. Then a deal appeared on Living Social for $ 250 worth of service for $ 99. I knew I had to try it.
Ashley did my cut and color, and I swear, one of THE best haircuts I’ve ever had. She was fantastic. We had a great conversation, but it wasn’t too gossipy like some places get. She definitely knew what she was doing so I told her what I liked and didn’t like and then told her to have fun. She definitely did an AMAZING job! I will definitely come back to see her again.
James washed my hair after the color and gave THE best scalp and neck massage. I told him that my boyfriend needed to come and learn a few pointers from him!
Overall, I was very impressed with the salon. Right away when I walked in they knew my name and offered me something to drink. Totally cool
place, too. Super easy to get to by public transportation!
It may be little more spendy than most haircuts (without the discounts they give you), but it is SO worth it.

I have naturally curly hair so it’s difficult for me to find someone who can trim and style it well. Ron did a FABULOUS job and I will definitely continue to see him!

I decided to give Lotus a try about 8 weeks ago. They have a great offer for 50% off your first visit. Tran did an amazing job. My hair was very damaged and he made every effort to correct what had been done from a «training salon». I usually take several pictures to make sure the stylist knows exactly what I want. I went back for the second time yesterday and told him to do what ever he thought was best. My hair looks awesome. I also like the fact that he told me I didn’t need a trim this time. He did some minor shaping but didn’t charge me for the full service. I appreciate that he didn’t take the opportunity to charge me more for a service I didn’t need. I find their prices to be very reasonable for Atlanta. Not only is Tran talented, you will enjoy his company. The service is amazing from the time you walk in the door, Lauren at the desk is a doll and makes you feel like a million! Highly recommend!

If you are in the need for a great style and cut and don’t want to break the bank, this is your spot. The crew at lotus are professional and great to work with. They treat you like you are the only person in the world.
I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.
