Margaret L Hopper, DDS PC

I’ve been using Margaret Hopper as my dentist for over 11 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her staff is friendly, helpful and most importantly caring. She is the best in town! A+

The most honest and affordable dentist I’ve ever used. Two other dentists said I needed $ 1500 worth of work. «These fillings are fine. If they start bothering you we’ll look at them again.» It’s also the cheapest routine cleaning and the warmest staff I’ve ever seen.

Isn’t it hard to find the right dentist? I certainly find it so.
Imagine walking into a dentist office that your grandma runs. That is exactly what this place is like. The décor has that kitsch/​knick-​knack feel that only grandmothers know how to create. The doctor is very sweet and very talkative.
I found the dentist to be quite cooky… in an uncomfortable way. Nice… but cooky. For example. my wife was sitting in the waiting room while I was finishing up and Dr. Hopper came out and wrapped a blanked around her. The waiting room was cold… but that’s weird.
My wife and I both had our x-​rays and teeth cleaned/​examined. We both agree that the x-​rays here were the most painful ever experienced. They have these huge bite wings that are painful to fit in your mouth and you have to go through about 20 of them. It was awful. The examination was fine I thought. I thought the nurse was nice. Howerver, my wife thought the cleaning was also painful but I think it was because her mouth was still so sore from the x-​rays.
All and all this was not a great experience. The bill at the end was also higher than I hoped. The dentist was nice but the whole place seemed kind of dated. Don’t get me wrong! I don’t like the feeling that I am paying my dentist so he can get plasma screen TVs in every room… but this place feels a bit TOO dated. (like I might not be getting the best care dated)
However, Dr. Hopper did call a few days later to make sure our insurance went through okay since it was our first visit. Very considerate.
