MARTA – Lindbergh Center Station

Left my car there for 5 days. Charged me $ 70. It’s supposed to be $ 8 a day. That means I should have been charged $ 40. Why was I charged so much for parking?!

Very nice station. I love the restaurants around this station. The station itself is pretty clean and multi levels. Access to At&t and Marta Headquarters. All trains can be caught here. Doraville, North Springs and Airport. Never had an issue at this station.

For what this is, which is a marta station, I can’t complain. I didn’t have high expectations because once again, it’s marta but this station made my ride to the Taste of Atlanta two days in a row very smooth. I live close to this station so I didn’t have to worry about parking but I love that they have free parking. That is a great perk.
Anyway, I was super nervous that I was going to mess up my ride somehow or not get to the event on time since I was volunteering and had a specific shift. I think I checked the schedule about 15 times the night before to make sure I would be ok. I got to the station and everything was nicely marked and there were times that the next car would be pulling into the station. There were no technical difficulties so I was happy. I made it safe and sound both days. I also really like that this station has a bathroom. It was occupied with one person standing in line when I needed to use it so I decided to just wait until I got home but it’s nice that the option was there.

Lindbergh station is clean. They have a station for your bike located outside that has a pump and many tools and was walking distance to taste of Atl (tech square). Got my ticket validated. Easy parking.

DO NOT TAKE THIS MARTA FOR TRANSIT! You will park and follow the instructions of what level to park on and they will STILL charge you $ 20 when you leave the deck. Not worth it!

***Pro Tip*** Take your ticket with you when you park in the daily lot. You will have to validate it inside the station.

Lindbergh is a nice area and the station is cool. Buses seem to come on time. I remember times of going to work catching the 5 and others years ago. Haven’t had to catch a bus there of recent times. But the surroundings of Lindbergh with the shops and the apartments (high as hell) and the police station. And marta headquarters across the street. Can’t really say much on there at night but don’t be stupid, be cautious regardless. Lindbergh is transfer for the north springs line.

Riding MARTA lately has overall been a very frustrating experience since every time I ride the train they seem be doing track maintenance.
I have taken the trip from the airport and have been stopped in the middle of the track for over 10 minutes while waiting for the track to clear. This has happened on the same trip twice, so the length of my trip has been doubled.
As far as this station goes, it is a very frustrating one to use because the parking validation machines never work very well. I will put my parking ticket in the machine and it says it can’t read it. I do this in both machines several times and the same thing happens.
One time this happened it was late at night and there were no agents around. I had no choice but to go ahead and pay for the parking. I then contacted MARTA about this and they did nothing for me. I then protested the charge with my credit card company and they graciously removed the charge.
As far as parking goes, this station has more than adequate parking and I never have a problem in that regard. It’s a little confusing arrangement since there are multiple structures and depending on where you come in, you may go to a different structure.
The signs that indicate when the next train will come are helpful.
If you are coming from the northside and want to take a train into Atlanta, this is a good station to go to because it’s the last one before the city that has free parking available if your trip is less than 24 hours.

I never leave the platform so I don’t know what rest of station is like. Your transfer point for red and yellow lines. Can’t we get a red line to just go all the way. Itsmarta

This is my main station. Information staff on hand most days to assist in your travel. Trains run thru this station on a regular schedule. There are electronic info boards letting you know how many minutes for the next train. Buses no. 5, 6, 27, 30, and 39 stop or terminal here.
