I provide therapy and counseling to individuals to promote growth and development. A natural part of life is transition, some change is more difficult and requires greater attention and care. Through better understanding of peoples lives and struggles, I collaborate with clients to shape the proper therapeutic style and direction to increase day-​to-​day functioning and enjoyment of life. Areas of particular focus are depression, anxiety, grief, work stress, relationship issues, chronic pain, and trauma.

History

Established in 2013.

I’ve been a private practice therapist and counselor in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta since 2013. In January of 2015 I moved to a new location in the Poncey Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta at 675 Seminole Ave, Atlanta, GA 30 307.

In addition to private practice work I also have experience working in hospital outpatient settings. Group work is an important part of the outpatient care and I continue to give time as a group leader to a local program.

Business Owner

My name is Martin Ray, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) at The Highland Psych Collaborative. I provide supportive, client-​focused counseling services for adults of all cultures, gender, and sexual orientations. I’m committed to the well being of each client and diligently work to understand, and address the unique needs of the individual.

Therapy is a growth process for both client and counselor. To encourage and enrich professional and personal growth I actively engage in professional workshops, informal communication with other professionals, participation with professional associations, and staying up to date with the latest news and research in the mental health community.
