Excellent customer service. Eric and Brian always so helpful. So glad to take my car to a honest place and not have to worry about being ripped off.

I have had My Dodge Ram truck serviced at McCullough Auto Care for the past 3 years. They have maintenanced both major and minor repairs .Eric and all the McCullough brothers are very Professional and Highly skilled in their approach in diagnosing and solving repair issues. I highly recommend them for the satisfaction I have received.

I lucked-​out and found this place in 2003. I’ve had three cars and six different addresses in 13 years, but only one auto shop I trust … McCullough.
If you live or work in the Sandy Springs area, they will give you a lift to home or work while they have your car. People know this place only through word-​of-​mouth, so I am spreading the word. These guys have been fabulous to me. So, I don’t care where in Atlanta I live, I will be taking my car here for service until I move out of GA.

Professional, friendly, and excellent! We now bring all our cars here. Even though it’s a 30 minute drive for us we think it’s worth it to know that we are being treated honestly and with integrity. I tell all my friends to bring their vehicles here. First Class Service from First Class Guys!

Typically, I only post Unilocal reviews after having a particularly good experience. Thus, my other reviews on Unilocal are either 4 or 5 stars. However, I felt compelled to post this review as I had a less than satisfying experience dealing with McCullough Auto Care on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs in November 2015.
Prior to bringing my car here, I had searched Unilocal for auto repair shops in the area. The reviews for McCullough weren’t the best, but it was nearby and I was thinking that the couple of negative reviews were from overly critical people (there was only 12 reviews total at the time regarding McCullough’s). While I wouldn’t describe my experience with McCullough as completely terrible, it was far from satisfying. Thus, the reason why I’m giving them 2 stars out of a possible 5 stars.
My car was dropped off first thing in the morning for some relatively routine maintenance items that any repair shop should be able to easily handle. A few hours later, I called to get an update and instead received a short response that they hadn’t looked at the car yet. At the end if the day, I received a call stating that they would need to keep the car to order a few minor parts. That wasn’t surprising, but I felt like they should have known that within two hours after dropping off the car as there was only one person ahead of me. They ended up having the car for two more days and then said they need to keep it a few days longer to order another part to make one final repair. Instead of leaving the car longer, I paid for the work that had been completed and picked up the car. I brought it to another shop and they indicated that the additional expensive repair wasn’t needed. Even if I did want that additional repair completed, they were going to do it for a few hundred dollars less than McCullough which was approximately 30% cheaper. On one hand, I wished that my car had been serviced by the other shop in the first place. However, this way seemed to confirm my initial suspicions that the service at McCullough’s was slow and overpriced. If one was to pay those overpriced rates, then they may want to go elsewhere so the repairs can be completed faster and they would be treated better as a customer. At least, that is my feeling.
The lesson learned for me is that it is better to go somewhere slightly farther away where you can get better service at a cheaper cost than to chose based upon this location which provided me with lower quality work at higher prices. I heard that Eddie in Sandy Springs provides great service at a good price. Unfortunately, Eddie passed away in 2014. Thus, I’m not sure if someone took over his auto repair business and if they provide the same great service and value as Eddie.

Perhaps others will have a different experience at McCullough’s, but that was my experience.

This is my new mechanic. After getting an estimate on some work that needed done from another shop that’s well reviewed, I took a friend’s recommendation and called McCollough. The price was HALF and they explained why one of the services wasn’t even necessary. They didn’t have to do that. It would have been an easy $ 75 extra. They did the work they promised, had it finished when promised, and treated me with respect. These guys are awesome!

STAY AWAY!!! The owner put a GPS device on my car without my knowledge or consent while I was in there for just an oil change! He did this to me at the request of a mafia-​type of person for his own financial gain, AND without any consideration for me (HIS THEN CUSTOMER). That is illegal to do to someone and I reported that to the police at the time. He is very unethical and CANNOT BE TRUSTED, demonstrating that he will do anything TO ANYBODY’S CAR or work with anyone FOR MONEY $$$. And that is a very sad fact! I would rate him and his company McCullough Auto Care as a MINUS ZERO!!!

Really honest people that do quality work. I never felt swindled as a female customer. They were always very professional and prompt. Couldn’t be happier with their service.

I have been using McCullough auto care for about 5 years. I religiously have both my cars serviced (Acura & Infiniti) according to the manuals. Not only are they great at repairs and services, but the pricing comes in lower than the dealers do, plus they are friendly and actually care about you as a customer. I highly recommend them for any make or model for any type of repair

On February 28, I took my car to McCullough for a repair they had recommended two days earlier. (We could not complete the repair during that first visit on February 25, as inclement weather was expected. They were understandably preparing to close so that employees could get home safely.) Of course, having already paid for other repairs during the visit on the 25^th, I was quite concerned about additional expenses on the 28^th. When I picked up the car, McCullough advised me that the part they had to replace was under warranty, and there was a charge of less than $ 4.00 for a very minor unrelated issue I had reported. I was quite relieved about the small expense and thankful for McCullough’s honesty. The importance of trustworthiness in a car care business cannot be overestimated.

Very Shady business practice. Watch out!! They will steal your money. Not only do they charge more than other repair shops– which you can just call a few to get an estimate and see how much higher they charge but that’s not the whole story, once they quote you a price it will climb up by 30−40% by the time you get ready to pay. As it happened to me, Eric the owner told me he guarantees that a certain repair won’t be higher than a amount he quoted then when I was ready to pick up the car he said oh there was a computer error and now the price climbed another $ 90!
As another customer said they are very nice to your face and use this to lure in customers but are very deceiving as you find out by the end. I would look elsewhere.

Good tow service! I used this to tow a couple of my company vehicles the driver was very courteous and patient. I would recommend this service based on this experience. The drive was prompt to get to the location, and was very patient. They also accepted a card when he got to my office.

Do NOT bring your car here! Unless… You like to be nickle and dimed… You like being mislead and you could do without your car for 3 days! First of all i paid $ 400 for them to put a battery and some oil in my car. Their labor charges are over half the cost. Plus, beware they may not tell you about the $ 95++ testing charge. This charge is apparently just to check out the car and the amount does not go towards your overall bill. Please don’t waste your time and money. Most places will charge the diagnostic testing fee but actually apply it to any work that needs to be done. I call that good customer service. Clearly, customer service is not important here. Second, they ran extra tests on and recommeded a part for my car that after i had to call the Jaguar dealership 3 times to confirm… Doesnt even exist on my car! Lastly, A worker by the name of Eric when questioned about the charges began to get rude and irratated by my questioning. This is the worst experience i have ever had with getting my car fixed! Not to mention again but… It took them 3 days! After getting my car towed there and asking if they could look at it that day, they said yes yet did not look at until day two, and work didnt get done until day three when i set a 5pm deadline. Save yourself a headache!

McCullough misdiagnosed a problem on my car. After they charged us for a $ 1200 valve on my car, they told me the motor was the real issue. We had suggested the problem was the motor when we brought the car to them, but they insisted it was the value. Only after charging us the $ 1200, did they agree.
We always support local businesses in our community, but will never return to McCullough. We will ensure that friends and family know that they will pay financially for McCullough’s lack of experience in diagnosing car problems.

My truck broke down in Atlanta on a very long road trip. Major oil leak, clutch, alternator belt… a laundry list of other issues.
McCullough fixed my truck in great time, located hard to find parts, kept this stranded, stressed out mother of very young children in the loop every step of the way.
Professional, courteous, timely. A great work ethic was in full force during my rough time.
While in the waiting area, I saw many repeat customers coming in, all greeted by name and with a smile.
I can’t recommend McCulloughs highly enough.

Autozone installed a new battery for me and afterwards my radio and GPS did not work. Autozone was mystified and sent me back to the Saab dealer, who wanted $ 128 to diagnose the problem. A friend recommended McCoullough as an alternative. I was in and out in 25 minutes… with a new fuse. McCullough did not charge me for this service, just asked that I come back. I will!

Do not take your car here. ESPECIALLY if you are a female. The people and owners are very nice and friendly however in my experience they have lied about what was wrong. Just the other day I left a light on and the battery died (it happens.) I called them as they are the closest auto shop to my house. A very nice man came and jumped my car and I went up to the store to pay. Done. Not really. First they said that they needed to check the battery. I heard the guy come back and say the battery looked fine but they obviously wouldn’t get any money for that. Then they made me leave my car there for the remainder of the afternoon only to call and tell me that I needed a new alternator. Really? I called someone I trust and they told me to get my car out of there ASAP. When I returned to the shop I asked to take my car telling them that I understood the risk should it eventually die. The owner gave me a lot of push back and wanted to keep the car overnight and wanted to show me what was wrong… It wasn’t until I demanded my keys that I was able to get out of there. It has now been three weeks and the car is running fine. I am just glad that I didn’t pay them the $ 400 to replace the alternator. Just a warning, for every person that walks away they convince 2 more people to pay. Don’t be one of those people!
