Excellent services including both skills and honoring my appointment time.
I left my dentist of 26 years to try out Modern Dental; this was a great decision!
I encourage anyone considering trying them out to do so – you won’t regret it.

I am highly impressed with both the staff and services at Modern Dental. I just completed my second appointment and know that the pricing is fair and the staff is more than proficient in what they do. Five stars!

Month ago I treated my tooth at this clinic. I think it is the best place in Atlanta, if you want to put to rights you tooth.
My doctor was very attentive, brought to light my tooth problems and suggested me some services. Thanks to his great work and recommendations for looking after my tooth, now I have brilliant smile and no any discomfort with my mouth cavity.

I had a very positive experience at Modern Dental! Best of any dentist visit. The office is clean, welcoming, and trendy. The hygienist was very knowledgeable and careful, and the doctor was very patient and attentive. Highly recommend.

Had three fillings done at once on some of my upper molars. Dentist seemed to be in a rush and was bouncing between me and other patients. Dentist didn’t get the fillings done evenly and I experienced horrible pain while eating during the week following the fillings. Had to go back and have him grind down the fillings to alleviate the pain.
During the follow up I was placed into the room closest to the front desk. That room apparently had faulty equipment. The tech polished my teeth as part of a follow up to a deep cleaning. The polishing drill was overheating and actually burned me when it was touched to my lip. I woke up with a blister the next morning.
All of this took place in January of 2015. I filed a complaint with the Georgia dentistry board over it.
I’m sure other people will have a better experience but mine was horrible. I have switched dentists; I would not recommend Modern Dental.

There’s a few times in life when a dentist visit is pleasurable… Modern dental staff makes it that way every time. Even through my root canals I was put at ease with their fully loaded tv consoles and headsets in the dental chair.

Excellent service! Dr. Lawton removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth 2 weeks ago. To say I was afraid is an understatement. I’ve heard all the horror stories and was not looking forward to having the procedure done. I’m happy to say that I have not one horror story. I experienced no pain during or after the procedure! It was quick and painless. Dr. Lawton and his assistant provided me with after care tips to ensure I would have a smooth recovery. I’m happy to say it was definitely a smooth recovery. I will continue to patronize Modern Dental for all of my dental needs and I encourage you to do so as well!

The Ladies Were Super Friendly. Warm Welcome when you walk inside the office .The young lady who cleaned my teeth was through when cleaning my teeth. She was gentle, friendly, and patient. Dr. Lawton was pretty great as well, very professional guy. He was open to many questions and covered the most. important things to know about properly taking care of my teeth. This Dentist Office is worth the trip.

I’m always impressed with the level of service I receive at Modern Dental! The staff is nothing short of amazing when it comes to friendliness, the best treatment, sharing a smile and making it contagious, and making you feel like family – not like patients! From the front desk receptionist, to the dental hygienist and Dr. Lawton himself, always make me feel welcomed, that they are genuinely concerned and that I’m valued! Even if I lived hundreds of miles away, I’m pretty sure Modern Dental would still be the only place I’d trust with all of my dental care and treatment.

I’ve been to this office numerous times over the past year or so. I grind my teeth at night and did it for years without even knowing it or having a mouth guard, so it’s not uncommon for a few of my front teeth to chip occasionally. I’ve had them filled in at my previous dentist (the same one I got the mouth guard from who is now too far away from me) multiple times and it always looked great. Modern Dental/​Dr. Green has consistently done a poor job of fixing my chipped teeth. It is often painful and the surface and edges of my teeth are uneven. I point this out, but the result is still the same. Last visit, Dr. Green seemed highly annoyed that her previous filling had come out within a few months and drilled me about wearing my mouth guard at night. I explained that I do wear it, but I usually take it out in my sleep. She informed me in a not very courteous tone that I «need to figure out a way to keep it in»… great, I’ll just tell my unconscious self that and we’ll be good to go! All other services I received from them were average. I have since decided to find a new dentist.

I have been going here for almost 2 years and I love it. Ashley is one of the highlights in that office. She’s professional and she’s efficient and she does her job with ease. Recently, my job changed my insurance and they weren’t on the preferred list and surely I thought this meant I’d need to find another dentist. Upon conferencing them onto a call with my new insurance company for a claim yo be paid, when she learned that they weren’t on that list, she started the process to get them on the list in time for my next visit so that I would pay less. I adore them. They do a great job and are always so concerned about my individual situation. Give them a try.

I took my Mom to Modern dental for a full dental check-​up, first I must say I made an appointment and the front office called the day before and spoke to my mom with such comfort. When we arrived the staff greeted us us with such warm hellos offering us beverage while we filled out her first time patient paper work. The office is so clean with a modern atmosphere. Dr. Lawton took such great care of my Mom who was a stroke victim, he ensured she was comfortable and understood what was and had to be done for her hygiene care. After that visit my entire family became patients of Modern Dental. Thank you Dr. Lawton for making us feel like family.

Had a great experience at this dentist office! Dr. Lawton is probably the coolest dentist I have ever met, he is a completely professional, well mannered and down to earth. Him, along with his lovely staff were genuinely happy, up beat, caring and comforting, and I was there on a rainy, ugly Saturday. I would recommend Dr. Lawton to anyone, and even though I did have to wait a bit, while he was with other patients, the dentist chair has a flat screen monitor with netflix.

After my previous posting, I was contacted by Modern Dental to talk about my experience. I spoke with the same lady that was so kind to me before– She was concerned about my experience there and was interested in what she could do to help take the bad taste out of my mouth (no pun intended). After our conversation, I learned that the hygienist that was working on me that day was there on a «working interview,» which was one reason in particular that they were interested in what I had to say about her performance. They assured me that my comments were taken seriously and that they have another candidate that they are considering for the hygienist position– Phewww.
I was persuaded to come back in to complete my cleaning (which was excellent this time!) and to have a filling. Dr. Greene was thorough, professional, kind, and attentive. The entire staff was involved in making my experience as pleasant as possible. If this had been my initial experience at Modern Dental, I would recommend it. I think it speaks volumes about their professionalism and their image awareness for them to contact me and try to right the wrongdoing that I had experienced a few days prior– GOOD JOB.

WOW! I don’t like going to the dentist. However, the team at Modern dental are polite and professional. Dr. Greene is a very good doctor. I am more pleased with the honesty of the group. My last dentist visit I was told I needed 10 – 12 fillings. I only need 3 – 4 ! The atmosphere of the office, is a pleasant one for any patient. The intimate setting, professional staff, and accurate diagnosis are major bonuses. I believe the TV is helpful, as it takes your mind off of a usually bad experience, which I didn’t encounter at Modern Dental. I would recommend you visit this dental office, as it serves the community very well. I have seen other people treatment at the office, especially those I have referred to Modern Dental. It is very convenient that they are open on Saturdays, especially for professionals. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I was contacted by someone from Modern Dental today to apologize. They were very professional during the call. They also offered to reduce my bill by the amount insurance did not cover and to send a gift card or free whitening treatment. I will post another update based their follow-​up actions.

My visit to Modern Dental was pleasant. The front desk staff was helpful. The hygienist was friendly and competent. The dentist did a great job ensuring that my work was done well. I felt very comfortable during my visit, and that is important to me. I have already scheduled my next appointment and some additional work with my dentist there.

Paid a visit to the dentist here today and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dentist office before. This place is ultra sleek and chic as its name alludes. Saturday appointments and Internet streaming video to keep you entertained while you’re I’m the chair. Dr. Lawton and Melynda, the hygienist were super nice. Would definitely recommend you check them out!

Something about this place is… off. I had to get a cleaning and a couple fillings before my dental insurance expired, and since I put everything off until the last minute, I picked Modern Dental because they were available and, why not? The first thing I noticed on my first visit was that there were no other patients there. Not a soul. Not in the waiting room, not in any of the other dentist chairs, nobody. They have tv’s hanging above the chairs, which is a neat idea, but didn’t really interest me. I’d also really rather not have «Bridesmaids» blaring in my dentist’s ear while she/he’s working.
The cleaning was less than thorough, to put it nicely. It was like the hygienist was afraid of flossing my teeth. I also have a permanent retainer installed behind my bottom teeth, which she seemed to have trouble working around.
On my second visit, again there was nobody else there. Not a single other patient. Weird. The hygienist seemed most concerned with getting the tv to work. In my opinion, they rely too heavily on the tv-​over-​the-​chair gimmick. That is not the time nor the place to have a television on.
I had a different dentist, which was fine, but what really got under my skin was that they didn’t put that plastic spacer in my mouth to keep my mouth open while drilling into my teeth, nor any cotton on the sides to keep saliva from collecting in my throat. I’ve had a few fillings and operations, and never had that experience.
For three fillings, I was expected to keep my own mouth open wide the entire time. My jaw started to quiver and give out after a couple of minutes, and I brought to their attention that I was having trouble keeping my mouth open, but I was ignored. To make things worse, the hygienist did a terrible job of rinsing/​sucking out saliva, so I was constantly choking and coughing on the foul-​tasting filling and my own spit.
When I went to check out, there was a large group of people standing around the desk. I don’t know who they were – they weren’t patients, and not all of them worked there, but they were all standing around/​behind the front desk laughing and joking, etc. I had to make my way through them to pay. Very unprofessional. I won’t be back.
The only reason I gave more than one star is because the waiting room and office were clean. And, while she appears to be very young, I had no problems with Dr. Greene.

I needed a new dentist and Edgeweood Dental Center is right down the street from my house, so I thought I would give them a try. They were excellent! They have TVs above the dentist chairs with HULU so I got to watch Top Chef. The dentist and dental assistant were both very friendly and asked me a lot of questions, without judging my janky teeth. Paperwork and rebooking were also a breeze. I would definitely recommend them. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars was there was some downtime while waiting for the dentist, but at least there was TV while I waited.
