I love this nail salon! I live all the way in Riverdale and I drive here because the level of service you receive here is unmatched!

I don’t know why I’ve been forgetting to write a review on this place. I was a newbie and after seeing the reviews and seeing how close it was to my house, I made an appointment for a weekday. Scheduling was easy and quick. When I got there, I did have to wait for about 29 minutes which was no big deal. I got a pedicure first in which the lady cut my toe and broke skin. The pedicure was fine the exception of that. I then got my nails done, which was a shellac. The job was so bad to the point I was like you’ve got to be kidding. The nail was not fully covered with polish and it was just a hot mess. And on top of that, she was terribly slow. The female owner asked me to come back the next day and she would do them again. She did an excellent job and had my nails looking great. I really wished I would have gotten her first because I probably would have made this my home salon. I would like to add that everyone on staff that I encountered were friendly.

Best Salon I have found in Georgia. Staff is friendly and did an excellent mani/​pedi and the salon felt clean. I got a regular French manicure for the holidays (not gel) and it has been a full week (with lots of hand washing and holiday food prep) and they STILL look good… after a FULL week, unheard of given how hard I am on my hands! Will definitely be coming back!

Nail Shack reminds me of the small local nail salon I went to as a teenager in Cali. I love that you can make an appointment online and there ready for you when you arrive. The service is excellent and the prices are affordable.

Honestly, this is probably the best nail place in Atlanta, BUT I have been coming for about 2 years now and they are slipping in quality. Price keeps increasing. They stay booked, which is great, but don’t expect to be taken at the time of your appointment. they don’t think much of making people wait or leaving them to soak for 20 minutes. however, if you’re late, you will be chastised in front of everyone. They cram people in so sometimes quality isn’t up to par. it’s become hit or miss, but still better than most atlanta salons. :/

I’ve never been as happy with my nail salon as I am at Nail Shack! I hopped around a handful of other salons mildly unsatisfied prior to finding them. Myself and three girlfriends go like clockwork every two weeks for SNS and a pedicure. The owners are very nice and take good care of us always! Tip: Make an appointment! We always book in advance.

Hands down the most thorough manicure I have EVER received! It made up for the fact that no one really spoke to me when I first walked in (just stared at me while I stood there… awkward moment). But the quality of service I got there was perfect. I will try this place again!
Also, you HAVE to make an appointment. I watched a couple people get turned away (on a Friday) because they didn’t have an appointment. It didn’t seem to be that busy, I guess they have a certain amount of customers they can take before their level of service starts to decline.

Normally, I receive great service at Nail Shack, but the last time I went in, I wasn’t pleased with the attitude of one of the nail techs. He attempted to scold me about how I should have noted that I wanted gel on my toes when I called to make my appointment. I told him that I had never been told that I had to specify that I wanted gel on my toes in the past. He rudely told me, «This isn’t Burger King where you can just come in and have it your way.» I told him that I thought his tone was insulting and his level of professionalism subpar. I went on to tell him that I had been coming to the Nail Shack for 2 years, I normally paid close to $ 100 for my hands and nails with each visit, and that I tipped well! I also told him that I didn’t appreciate his indignant demeanor. Based on my encounter with him, I will not be returning. Faithful customers shouldn’t be spoken to in that manner. I pay for a service, not disrespectful sarcasm.

So far, so good… I’ve been coming here for about a year now. I love that I can make appointments online. I’ve never had to wait, always in the chair at my appointment time. I have seen walk-​ins get turned away though, so as mentioned in other reviews, make sure you have an appointment, as they are pretty busy at times.
I’ve never had a problem with the staff or the quality of work. I mostly get pedicures with OPI and they usually last about 3 – 4 weeks (sometimes longer depending on nail growth) without chipping at all.
I have experienced that the men are more talkative and seem more friendly than the ladies who work here, with the exception of Tiffany, the owner. She’s very friendly and nice. I’m not saying they aren’t nice, Just not talkative. Which is okay too… it gives me time to write and read Unilocal reviews!
The nail shack is just that… a small shack. But it IS clean and they are fast. My pedicure was done in 45 minutes.

Im updating my review solely based off of customer service. I booked another appointment this time with Tiffany. She was super nice and fixed my nails for free! She read my review the night before and even stated that she was going to call me to see if I would’ve been willing to come back in. I really appreciated how she went above and beyond to correct the problem!

I just received a very genuinely authentic voicemail from Tiffanie, one of the owners regarding the review I posted. She thanked me for bringing attention to the issues we encountered and extended an offer for my girlfriend and I to come in for a complimentary pedicure. While I do not know what the outcome will be, as to whether we will return, I do appreciate her responsiveness to what occurred. Much appreciated!

Oh no! This nail salon has officially ousted me because I’ve been late. They don’t have manpower. I can’t understand why they have only four people on staff on a Saturday morning. What am I missing? You are obviously successful so why not grow? I don’t get it…

I have been here several times and the result were consistant until the last service I received my toe polish got chip within the week. But I will go back, since I really like the fact that they respect the appointment time. also they are very friendly and clean. Trust me I am a nurse I look at their sterilization process and the products they use. Once in a while I will ask for a glass of wine during my servicewhich they have available you just have to ask.

Great salon & even better prices! I’ve been here twice now and I’m hooked! First time I went in for a basic pedi and it was $ 18! Yes, only 18 freakking dollars! And I was in the chair for 45 minutes. The lady took her time and made my feet look great! The second visit, I did pedi and gel manicure, and this was even better… The technician (didn’t catch her name, but same one from before, and also the same one I’ll be asking for next time) took her time and made my nails PERFECT! The paint is perfect on both my hands and feet!
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! This place is hoppin and both times I’ve been there they have turned people away because they are booked up solid.

This was a great salon, great experience, great price. Four stars instead of five because there was a snafu with my appointment time– they had me for 4, I had me for 4:30 and there were several phone calls made and received from others booking problems while I was there.
Regardless, Allen worked overtime to fit me in for both my services like the pro he is. Very knowledgeable and fun to chat with. This is one of the only salons ITP that does SNS. As a gel junkie I was skeptical, but this is my first experience and I am hooked. I’m also really picky about my shape so I usually just get the length snipped off but the oval shaping is perfect.
Get an appointment– no really, they were turning away walk ins– and you won’t be disappointed. If your SNS or gel gets messed up within ten days, you can come in for a free fix. This is my new go-​to salon, sorry Midtown Nail.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Honestly, most of the poor reviews here are from people who didn’t make an appointment. It’s called Nail Shack — it’s literally a shack. It’s a small, house-​like building with limited space. Make an appointment and you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve had acrylics (BEAUTIFULLY done, but just not for me) and SNS nails done here. SNS is my new favorite thing. They’re the cheapest salon I’ve encountered for SNS and they do it very well. I plan on returning each month.
I would suggest going during one of their off-​times? Friday evenings have taken longer due to walk-​ins and limited staff. Regardless, I have not had a bad experience here — the staff is very friendly and down to earth.

Nice people, very inexpensive. Now for the bad news– while my finger nails turned out nearly perfect, my toenails look horrible. I understand that my feet were not the easiest to work on– I just recently ran a half marathon so they are pretty beat up– but I’ve never experienced a worse pedicure in my life. There’s nail polish on my big toes all around the nail (on my skin) and she missed the tip on a couple toenails. Pictures are provided. Not sure if the lady was just having an off day, but unfortunately I won’t be back. For the record, I did not ask them to fix it because I was in a hurry. Plus I didn’t want them to mess it up even more. Pictures were taken the day of the mani-​pedi.

I am definitely a fan of this place. I’ve been here twice so far and I just booked my third appointment. Prices are decent but the service is worth it. I HIGHLY suggest going online to book an appointment. I gave it three stars and not five only because the last time I went the person that did my toes dug too deep into my skin on my big toe when taking off dead skin. I didn’t notice until I got home but my toe was hurting for a couple days and even started bleeding. They gave me $ 10 off my next visit but I think I should have at least got a free pedicure for my next visit. Anyway, their shop is clean and they’re very personable so I will be returning although I had that one bad experience.
