RUN! Don’t walk away from this place. I’m not sure if this is a chain wide problem, but this this location hands out deep cleanings like like candy. I asked a friend who is a dental hygienist about deep cleanings, and she said that she was referred 10 people while she was in school that were told they all needed deep cleanings and NONE of which acutally needed them. My husband had the misfortune of testing this place out since they were in-network on our insurance. I felt so horrible that I sent him to this place without checking it out myself. They stabbed one of their little tools into him gums until he blead and then told him he needed a deep cleaning. We had both seen the same dentist prior to this visit, and he was given a clean bill of dental health. The current dentist we see is amazing. I spoke with the hygeinist we see, and she said she worked in an office like Nanston for 6 months and had to leave. They give bonuses to the hygienist for completing these deep cleanings. She had a co-worker who was making more in bonuses than her base salary. She did follow-ups on the other hygeinist’s patients and found that they never needed a deep cleaning in the first place. THISPLACEIS A SCAM and so is any other dentist that prescribes deep cleaning to every patient.

Most painful cleaning of my life! I never realized how lucky I was growing up to have a great dentist who was gentle and on top of their field until I had to find a new dentist because of new health insurance. I hadn’t had my teeth cleaned in about a year when I came to Nanston. I know, I know… every six months yada yada yada… but I had been in transition between jobs, graduating and switching insurance, so I expected a rougher than average cleaning. Basically, they were very rough when cleaning my teeth and gave me a monster headache as well as a sore mouth. Moral of this short and boring story, do your research and find a great dentist to go to, and don’t wait more than six months to have your teeth cleaned.
