I love Nine West and have been a fan for the good part of 10 years, when I started working here right out of high school(OMG… I am so old, tear). Since my coming-of-age in the financial aspect of my life, I have been much more careful about clothing/accessory purchases. But the past few months have seen a dent to my bank account(though I am not racking up credit card debt, which has been one of my huge milestones) and my visit added salt to the wound. Honestly though, since I have been very frugal, my wardrobe was in deep need of updating. Okay, so I have to share my story of why I ended up at Lenox Mall during my lunch break last week. I follow a few fashion blogs and have fallen in love with the patent leather nude 85 mm Louboutin Pigalle. As much as I am enamored of these shoes, I cannot bring myself yet to spend such moo-lah on footwear. So I was on the hunt for some«knock-offs» from brands in the $ 80 – 120 range. And I came across the Sally style on Nine West’s website. They were real patent leather(a rarity these days – which breaks my heart – PETA folks, don’t come stabbing me). I called ahead to see if my size was in stock and to my heart’s delight, it was. But there were few sizes left as they were on sale. After receiving instructions from my work buddy, I parked at Bloomingdales and found Nine West very close by(come out on the middle floor, I think, and swing right). I quickly ran inside and told the only sales associate I saw my name and that I had some shoes on hold. Apparently, she was the one I spoke to, as she immediately knew what I was referring to. I tried them on and did a lap or two around the stop to check for comfort. Seriously, Nine West shoes NEVER let me down. NEVEREVEREVER. To my surprise and joy, the soles were leather as well. At $ 69, it couldn’t get any better. Damn the Buy One, Get One 50% off sale. I scored another pair of pumps, in brown leather with Western stitching. Tried those suckers on and did a prance around the store to make sure they wouldn’t suffocate my stompers. Said sales girl tried to recommend other styles to me(I still remember my own training to do this) and I had to politely tell her that I needed to get back to work. She understood and apologized for the delay. Before I knew it, I was back in the car. Later that afternoon, on my way home, I had to pull the boxes from the backseat to admire the shoes again. No buyer’s remorse! Great service and the shoes are just as great as they were when I was still in my teenage years.

Nine West in Lenox Square has lost its luster. What a shame.

The standard black Nine West pump is a stable for the majority of the corporate slaving women I know. I would expect that all stores would have this shoe in all sizes at all times. It has to be the #1 seller. That’s the major problem with this particular Nine West. All show and no inventory.
