Every time I’m in town I come here every morning. The only place in the city that you can get top notch coffee and pastries. And a great atmosphere to chat, go on your computer, ect. I used to live in Atlanta and it was our favorite Saturday spot, amazing waffles!!! They also have a full service bar so if your with friends they really cater to everyone. Staff is always super nice too!

We received such an unwelcoming attitude from the staff and it was downhill from there. It is 2016, people, and this establishment has some major turn-offs. First off, two different cash registers that divide coffee and pastries? Two transactions, with twice the amount of time wasted. Get some advice from an accountant and set up your transactions like everyone else. Do not force your customers to spend their time going through two cash registers that are right next to each other. Please also treat your customers with some courtesy instead of rudeness. The atmosphere: they are trying to be modern and hipster, but they forget that, without customers, they will become a failed business. Greet, smile, and make it easy to enjoy a coffee and croissant.

Pretty cool spot, and its a good place to work or hang out, but the coffee was just ok. I had the pour over coffee and a nitro cold brew. The cold brew was a bit weak on the nitro and the flavor of the coffee was just ok. The pour over was decent but not above average for a pour over.

Octane shares a space with the Little Tart. Two different registers located in the exact same spot, which is a little confusing for idiots like me who ordered everything to whomever looked at me. [sigh]. Anyway. I ordered a chocolate croissant from Lil Tart and a latte from Octane, and it was mighty fine! Just what I needed, a quick drink to fuel up(pun!) for more exploration in Atlanta. Seemed to be tons of seating, mostly community tables. The staff seemed a little blasé, but I guess that’s the part they have to play, right?

Eh. It’s fine and will get the job done if u need caffeine and the ppl are friendly. The place is clean and has a modern vibe. The coffee tho tastes exactly like Nescafé. U know, the instant coffee u get in Europe. It’s fine but not like the best coffee or even living up to its name and reviews.

Their pastry options are INCREDIBLE! I got the croissant which was flakey and buttery and just so amazing… my BF got a berry tart and it wasn’t like a traditional tart it was not to sweet but definitely had more sweetness then normal tarts. The Americano was amazing had a great quality coffee taste. They have a lot of tables inside and out so seating isn’t an issue. We will definitely be back when we are in the area

Entering this coffee shop felt more like wandering into a bright, open room of inspiration… and not just because I have that much of a love for my morning coffee. We were met by smiling staff eager to make recommendations and answer our questions. The pairing of The Little Tart Bakeshop with Octane was a seamless one from selecting our sweets to choosing a drink… our pastries and drinks were delicious as expected! The spacious room was filled with people studying, chatting, and reading but didn’t have the sense of being too crowded. Perhaps my favorite detail of our experience was sitting next to the tall windows with various thought provoking or comical quotes. Also, while not part of the actual establishment, great music can really enhance the vibe of a place. FKA Twigs’ Pendulum played quietly in the background and now makes me think of this recent trip when I hear it. We can’t wait to return!

The good: pairing up octane coffee with the little tart bake shop was a good idea! Both have great coffee and bake items. Loving the cookies! The bad: none The worst: none Neutral: great place to study — not too loud, not too quiet. Great area for groups or solo.

Since Octane has somehow become my office away from the office and I’m also addicted to everything on offer from the little tart, I feel compelled to update my long-ago, so-angry review. The service has gotten much better and the people here are now practically my co-workers. The switch from Counter Culture coffee to their own Octane brand has been the icing on the cake. All the drinks are now super delicious(yes, even the plebeian«Super Regular» drip). Power outlets are limited so, bring a fully charged device or try and snag a spot along the window wall. Parking isn’t all that difficult if you drive around a bit in the neighborhood. Just avoid the main parking lot completely because it’s basically monopolized by Six Feet Under patrons who seem to be used to driving prairie schooners on wide open spaces instead of SUVs in tight parking lots.

So glad we wondered off the beaten path and stopped in. Wonderful atmosphere. Made me want to stay all day. Diverse groups of people from all walks of life and ages. More than that… the coffee was stellar and the food magical. We had the cheese waffles with bacon and the yogurt bowl with fresh fruit and granola. We will be back. Superb service and handcrafted foods.

I am spoiled by Birmingham’s awesome Octane because this place was a joke in comparison. Friends and I popped in here after an afternoon walking the cemetery for a pick-me-up and snack. First off — you can’t buy coffee and baked goods at the same Square register… one is for Octane, one is for Little Tart but they are *right* next to each other and there is no sign indicating this. This wouldn’t be an such an issue for me except the Octane employee who informed me of this acted like I was the stupidest, most-inconvenient customer of his day and even rolled his eyes at me when I was surprised by this. To further complicate this situation, the Little Tart kiosk was unmanned(even though they were open) making this fact even less obvious. Fast forward to sitting down with our table sign. We waited 5, 10, more minutes for coffee and nothing. Our orders were pretty simple: a cortado and a latte… but they never came. When my beau walked to the espresso machine and inquired, it was as though they were never forwarded from the register to the order-line-up. I’m sure it was punishment for me asking for a meringue with my cortado. We did eventually get our coffee but the bitterness of the service had seeped into the drinks and they missed the mark, tasted as though the beans were burned and were sloppily poured. I’ll stick with Octane in Birmingham and won’t waste my time here again.

Ugh. The coffee is just okay. My biggest gripe is the lack of outlets! Come on… it’s a coffee shop and SO many people come here to do work. They only have 4 outlets in the place that are aligned along one wall. Really inconvenient. I prefer Drip or Aurora.

cozy place but extensible coffee(a latte is 4.40 $) The Internet is SO slow and there are no electric plugs but in the four tables by the window; so not a good place to get anything done on the computer. If you can get passed the prices and sitting limitations, the coffee is actually good :-)

Definitely one of my favorite spots to get coffee and people watch. The atmosphere is hipster and for a random Saturday afternoon, it’s exactly what I want. They serve great café au lait and the service is friendly. Seating is communal and often times limited during peak hours but I am okay with waiting. If I am in the area, this is the place I go for my caffeine fix. There’s a Little Tart bakeshop within the coffee shop that I haven’t tried but one of these days…(They sell all kinds of baked goodies.)

I’m a coffee person and I adore my flat whites so it’s definitely a plus that they made me a decent cup of flat white(starbucks flat whites are NOT flat whites, sorry). It’s situated next to Little Tart Bakery, which has amazing baked goods so it’s definitely a great place to sip a good cup of coffee and have pastries. The entire area is bright and there are different seating options catering to various group sizes e.g. small tables, bar seats, communal tables so it’s a great place to chill and hang out with friends or to just read a book alone. Octane maintains a separate cash register from Little Tart Bakery and sometimes the lines form both ways. Confusing, because you have no idea who are in line to get pastries and who are there to get coffee. On busy days, you may have to wait up to 10 minutes or more to get your cuppa joe — it’s not too bad considering it’s decent coffee you’re getting. But there are definitely other places in Atlanta that serve equally good coffee without that long of a wait.

Octane is located in the Jane complex on Memorial Drive. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I stop in when I’m in the area and want a hot chocolate, a pastry from Little Tart and to do a little bit of reading, This place is filled to the brim with hipster folk. The baristas are not the friendliest. Yes, you will be judged for ordering hot chocolate instead of coffee. Keep in mind that the bakery and the coffee shop have separate registers so if you want something from each, you will have to do two different transactions. The space is bright with lots of different seating areas. Beware that the bright sunlight can get in your eyes if you are facing the window at the wrong time of the day. Bring your sunglasses. The wifi here is super slow. I had a work emergency and was desperate to get on a wifi connection. What should have been a 10 minute task ended up taking me close to an hour. This probably isn’t the best place for you if you need to get some serious work done. There’s a parking lot attached to the building with quite a few spaces. These spaces fill up quickly so you may have to utilize street parking on surrounding streets.

Great local coffee shop! — natural sunlight — plenty of tables to catch up with friends or to work — great treats from the bakery — awesome coffee! :)

UNIQUE place connected to a Bakery, two different businesses. Good news is the ‘student crowd’ is linited, meaning the schleps using chairs as study hall, while buying a small water are few.

Guatemalan roast coffee Great atmosphere, came here mostly for the little tart, but since I’ve recently become a black coffee lover, I thought I might as well try the special coffee. I’ve gotten rather used to the thicker body of a cup made with a french press, so I may have to get used to properly filtered coffee because it all tastes a bit watered down. But when I sit and savor the flavor it’s really quite good and they use the V60 method which is well known. I’ve had coffee in pretty amazing coffee shops in Seattle so this one falls a tad short.

Fuel and re-fuel at Octane. What revs +‘s: + Space. Warehouse renovated nicely with exposed piping and brick walls. + Service. Friendly and unpretentious. Good looking crew too. + Coffee. It’s decent. Yes I’m a coffee snob from SF. + Vibe. Yes it’s hipster. Proverbial beards, chicks in heavy black frames, laptops, bicyclists and what not. + Pace. Your own. Don’t feel rushed. Take a seat at the bar, the table or outside. + Bathroom. It’s nice. + Wifi. It’s what? Free! + Snacks. The Little Tart Bakery is right there but you have to get ringed separately for their goods. Ugh a hassle. + Bar. It opens at 3pm and hey it’s stocked. What peters -‘s: — Parking. Lot gets full. Try parallel parking in the street. Try biking. Hell, try tele-transporting. Yes I got the tip from Anthony Bourdain to come here. Yes, I tested it and he’s legit. Nothing else is around here so settle in and enjoy. Only wish they sold the NYT or had old rags to read.

I stopped by Octane this afternoon to get out of the house. I work from home and have been told by a few different people that it’s a great place to set up with your laptop so I figured I’d give it a try. Parking: What a disaster. I went in the afternoon and could not find a spot in the lot. Not only were all of the spaces taken but people had parked in the traffic lanes making it nearly impossible to even loop around to get out. I ended up finding a spot on the street after pretty much getting stuck in the lot for a bit. Service: Although I was highly irritated by the time I ordered, the service was great. I ordered my latte almost immediately and was handed a number to take to my table so they could deliver the drink. It took approx 3 min. Not bad! The Coffee: Delicious! It was perfect. No better way to describe it. The Ambiance: I loved that there was a bakery and bar to accompany the coffee. It was authentically hipster and not too loud. However, there were very few power outlets. Unless they were hidden somewhere, I only saw power outlets at the tables near the window which of course were full. This ended up cutting my time there short. Overall, I’d stop by for breakfast but probably will not attempt to work from there again.

Great bakery, and amazing coffee. The sun peers in to the bar and gives you a cozy Sunday afternoon vibe. Definitely recommend.
