I love this place. They have vegetarian options along with a wonderful staff who excel at prompt service. It seems to me that this place is somewhat of a secret because there is never more than a few people at other tables inside. Hope they’re able to stay in business!

Always a good lunch. affordable. Quit and good place to just eat. They could drop the chips for bread, but for the price it’s great.

Favorite Mediterranean Food in Cobb. It’s Small, quite, romantic and has great food. Try the, screw it, try everything. Never had a bad meal here. Every time I’m in Atlanta. This place is a must!

Went here for lunch on a weekday with a couple coworkers. I got the grilled lamb pita pocket and the greek salad. The salad had an awesome spice mix/​dressing that really set it apart from other Greek salads that I’ve had. Everything was well seasoned and well spiced and the waitress was really friendly and attentive. I wish the lamb was cut in thinner slices in my pita but overall it was nice. I would go back.

We eat here often. Love the food. Staff is friendly too. They desperately need to renovate. The restrooms and into the kitchen area are not very clean.

We were here for a weekday lunch and both the service and food were all very good. I especially loved their pita: so toasty and flavorful and it went amazingly with the hummus. I got the lamb kebab for my entrée and it was a lot of delicious food!
This is a pretty small place so make sure you make a reservation for big groups.

Have eaten at this establishment two times and haven’t been disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Never really ate Mediterranean food before, but I must say I really enjoyed this place. Two thumbs up from me. The close for a short period of time after lunch and reopen for dinner so just note that. They were so kind and let me stay to eat even though it was 5 minutes until they were about to close.

I was in the mood for Greek cuisine and Olive Bistro is in my Vinings neighborhood. It seems as though this place is losing its passion, or so that is what it tastes like. I had a Gyro meat salad. The Gyro meat was dry and overlooked, as if it had been pre-​sliced earlier in the day and heated in the microwave. Honestly. I wasn’t too impressed. I always judge a Greek restaurant by their gyro, and this was not a good result.
I will, however, RAVE about their hummus dip and pita. The pita is soft and coated with olive oil and parm. The hummus is rich and smooth with a little olive oil and an olive garnish. I will go back for the hummus to snack on, but not for an entrée.

I REALLY like this place! Their hours are a little funky being that they close around 3 P.M. and reopen for dinner at 5. I caught them right as they were re-​opening one Friday.
The owner took our orders and paid great attention to us. He was nice, personable, and talkative. He started us off with pita bread with an oily dipping sauce. Mmmmm… that warm bread was delicious.
I ordered the Rosemary Chicken
Marinated in rosemary, lemon, garlic & spices served on rice & lentils,
with hummus & side salad. It was more than enough. It was VERY GOOD! My sister ordered the Veggie Lasaga, which was stuffed with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, herbs, Chef’s tomato basil sauce and absolutely was delicious. I almost traded mine out for hers but mine was too good to completely give up.
Pita bread & a side salad come with all entrees. Again, the braid was warm and soft. I ate so much of it! We were the only patrons in there except for the to-​go people. Service was great. I’d certainly come back!

BEWARE OVER PRICED SMALL PORTIONS! Now I’m a die hard fan when it comes to GREEK salad with chicken kabobs! Now my first experience with this restaurant was a last resort new to the area craving and needed a really good GREEK salad. I called in and placed my order for a GREEK salad with a chicken kabob and lamb kabob. My order came up to a whopping 27 dollars which is a tad bit high for a darn salad but once I’m fixed on something theirs no turning back. Now Id assume the portions would be quite big considering the price but I was left with 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of lamb! I was shocked.
Too late to turn around, too hungry to complain.
My 2^nd experience was right after I left the gym and I was having one of my episodes again and called for take out. The guy didn’t really take time to listen to my order and rushed me off the phone! This time I ordered just the chicken kabob Greek salad. On arrival it was sitting in front of the cashier waiting for me I paid 17 bucks this time. To my surprise I find 3 small pieces of chicken with the salad. It’s ok but not worth the price at all. Portions are too small and overlooked. I wouldn’t come here again. I’ll make the drive over to Roswell road which is way more upscale CHEAPER with larger portions! Save your money people!

I had a decent sandwich /​Gyro at this place.
I think it would have been better with something other than sun chips.
But what do I know?
The staff were all friendly.

If you’re looking for fantastic Mediterranean Food in a relaxed atmosphere, Olive Bistro on Cobb Parkway is where you want to go.
I’ve tried many different entrees and appetizers here, and I can say that almost everything is absolutely delicious and just about as authentic as Greek and Lebanese-​inspired food can be in Atlanta.
If you’re new to this type of food, I recommend the Gyro to start, as even the least adventurous among us know a Gyro (pronounced Yee-​Roh, and not J-​eye-​Roh, rhyming with «eye,» Gee-​Roh, or Ghee-​Roh). The Hummus is also especially delicious, with hints of garlic and lemon, and of course, extra virgin olive oil.
If you’re familiar with Mediterranean fair, I recommend you dig in with the Lamb Kabobs or my personal favorite, the Stuffed Grape Leaves, Falafel, and Tabouleh (pronunced Tah-​Boo-​Lee). The Stuffed Grape Leaves are bursting with flavor, the Falafel is unlike any I’ve ever had with an uncommon spicy kick, and the Tabouleh wakes up your tongue with its zesty freshness.
Olive Bistro doesn’t get five full stars because although the Lamb Kabobs are wonderful, I found the Lamb Chunks Pita Sandwich to be a bit lacking in flavor and honestly, pretty bland, and the Baba Ganoush was… it just tasted sour to me.
Othewise, Olive Bistro is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner, and I will return as often as I can.

I’m a greek food fanatic and am always looking for a good place close home. Olive Bistro was not it. The service was good, and that’s about all that was good. My spanakopita was very soggy and had a bit of a tart lemon taste to it. My entrée was a greek salad with chicken. The chicken was seasoned pretty well and came with a white sauce (not tzatziki sauce) which was good. The greek dressing didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. Also, I asked for no tomatoes, but got them anyway. All-​in-​all, not impressed.

I’ve been craving Meditarranean food, particularly falafel. I didn’t realize there was a Greek restaurant near Thai DIner where I frequently eat at. I decided to call in the order then pick it up. I mean, it is busy season at work (I work in a CPA firm).
Olive Bistro is located on the farthest right part of the strip in the Krogers shopping center off Cobb Parkway. It’s really cute and cozy looking.
The lady gave my order and I took it back to work to chow down it. At my desk, I couldn’t wait to eat the falafel. It’s sooo yummy. That’s it, I’m going to learn how to make it! Halfway with the salad, I found a piece of hair :(I knew it wasn’t mine since my hair is black, not brown. I lost my appetite after that, thank goodness I already ate all the falafel.
I’m going to make my own Greek salad with falafel next time.

Cruised Unilocal to find a lunch place for today. Extremely pleased! Rosemary Chicken platter with amazing dressing on the Greek salad and yummy hummus. You won’t be disappointed. And the baklava… oh my!

Olive Bistro is in the parking lot with Kroger and just down the street from main street Vinings. After dropping by Kroger to pick up a Redbox movie, the guy and I did a quick search for good takeout gyros and chose Olive Bistro because we could literally walk across the parking lot to it.
The interior of the restaurant is really nice. It’s dark and calm feeling, although it seemed a little dead for dinner time on a Saturday. They did seem to be doing a brisk takeout business, though. We glanced through the menu and opted for a hummus appetizer and two gyros. Sadly, they don’t sell fries, so our gyros went un-​sided.
The service was quick for walk-​in ordering. They have a wooden bar, behind which there is a little sandwich assembly line. I saw them bring the warm pita and meat from the back kitchen and then top our pitas right in front of me. The prices were also pretty good. Two gyros and a hummus app came to $ 22 altogether, a bargain for dinner for two.
Everything was still piping hot when we got back to the house, which was a plus. The hummus was okay, although I thought they went a little heavy on the tahini, leaving behind a slight peanut buttery flavor. It came with a generous pile of warm pita for dipping, which was really tasty.
The gyros themselves were not the best I’ve ever had. That’s an understatement. I’m kind of surprised about the positive reviews, actually. They used an extremely heavy hand on the tzatziki sauce (which is saying something because normally I’d be happy to flat out dip my gyro in the stuff) that kind of overwhelmed everything else, including the bread. I also thought the sauce itself was waaaaayyyy too close to straight mayo to call itself tzatziki with a straight face. Mayo-​covered veggies were literally plopping from the sandwich as I ate it. Definitely not in the top 10…20…50? gyro experiences of my lifetime. Perhaps the other food is better, but I don’t know if I’d be back to try it.

This is a great find! I keep coming back for several reasons. The Mediterranean food is very tasty, the menu is vegetarian friendly and the short wine list satisfies me! If there is a French Chardonnay I’m happy, and for $ 8 a glass, I’m very happy! May I add it is a very nice wine glass!
The place is small and cozy. At 6:00 pm on a Tuesday night, my friend & I were the only ones in the place. But when we left at 8:00pm, all tables were busy!
I’ve been coming here for a few years & I think there are new owners. The server tonight was definitely NOT social, friendly, talkative or happy… But he did his job efficiently.
It’s great for a date night, easy for a dinner/​movie night, and not noisy!

A coworker and I were talking about Greek restaurants in Atlanta. He pulled up Unilocal and searched for «greek restaurant.» Among one of the first results that popped up was Olive Bistro. Four stars, over 20 reviews, and close to our office — good enough for me. I rounded up a few others and off we went to lunch here at Olive Bistro. We’ve eaten at Thai Diner and Tomo in the same shopping center and we’d seen this place before, so we were going to hit it up eventually. One of my coworkers who lives nearby has been coming here for dinner over the past three years.
The restaurant is not very big. I counted maybe 10 or 11 tables (for four) total. The atmosphere is casual and somewhat intimate as the tables are placed closely next to one another. The four-​page menu is the same for both lunch and dinner. They offer small plates (e.g. hummus, baba ghanoush, grape leaves), salads (e.g. Greek, tabbouleh), sandwiches and wraps (e.g. gyros), and entrees (e.g. mousaka). They also offer platters, of which we ordered three. Everything is served with soft pita. Prices range from $ 5.99 (apps) to $ 14.99 (lamb kebab). The platters are about $ 10 each.
We ordered a plate of hummus for the table. It was very good. Good consistency and not too oily or sour. The pita was soft and heated, although I’m not sure if it was very fresh. I ordered the Mediterranean platter, which gives you a choice of four items from the following: falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, eggplant, Tuscan beans, Greek salad, and grape leaves. If you choose the grape leaves, they add $ 2 onto your order. Since we already had hummus at the table, I ordered the falafel, tabbouleh, eggplant, and Tuscan beans.
Just like the hummus, the other items were pretty good. According to the chalkboard outside, the AJC rated Olive Bistro’s falafel as the best in Atlanta. I haven’t tried enough falafel to know what great falafel is supposed to taste like, but theirs were magnificent. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, but soft, fluffy, and tasty on the inside. If you could order only thing here, get the falafel.
The tabbouleh consists of parsley, tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, cracked wheat, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic. It was tangy. The eggplant consisted of two big slices of eggplant marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic (see a recurring theme here?). Delicious. Finally, the Tuscan beans were marinated in the same stuff with a little bit of sun-​dried tomatoes and spices on top. These turned out better than I thought. The beans were just drenched in olive oil and spices. Yummy.
Service was great. One important note: they do not separate checks here. You either pay one bill for the entire table or you can split the total amount evenly amongst everyone at the table (that’s what we did). Parking can get tight in this busy shopping complex, but you shouldn’t have a problem finding an open spot.
