So this place no longer does brunch but strictly events.
Location is absolutely beautiful and open. Service was very professional and nice.
So my wife and I rented the facility for about 70 people. Everything went well pre planning. Day of the event we were over by 30 people which was fine. But here are my issues. First they tried to make 100 salads all at once so they sat there on the counter with dressing, salad became very soggy. Second we pre ordered 3 entrees and all 3 were poorly seasoned and cooked. Raw chicken everywhere, under seasoned trout, and soggy pulled pork. Finally the bill. They over charged us by $ 1500.00. When we confronted them they said corporate made a mistake and did fix it. They also changed gratuity charge to service charge so they can add another 7% tax on top of gratuity. I’d like to give them the benefit of doubt and say they made a mistake but I would like to warn future event hall users to please get an itemize receipt and be very thorough with the bill. Also ask them to serve food as its made.
Other then that, it’s a great place to have events.

Crab cake eggs benedict is beat in city by far. Really lively ambience. Great place to bring a date or ladies brunch.

I came here for brunch during the Spring. Very pleasant staff and the food was great. The problem I see here is that it is perhaps a notch too nice for the Midtown weekend brunch crowd.
The weekend brunch crowd really seems to prefer something more casual. And for this, they are trying to be a destination spot. I think it would do better with the Buckhead crowd.
I really enjoyed the brunch. I had a eggs benedict inspired dish with fairly good Southern inspired dishes.

I attended a Georgia Tech department holiday brunch here a few Sundays ago. The set up is bright and open, with the bar and kitchen along the walls and floor to ceiling windows that face west.
For the brunch, which was a 4-​hour affair that I arrived 2 hours in, there was a buffet along the south wall. The buffet featured fried chicken, shrimp and grits, salad, asparagus, salmon, and more. Everything was pretty tasty. The salad wasn’t overdressed, so it was still light and crispy, instead of wilted. The shrimp and grits appeared a little soupy, but had nice flavor. The fried chicken was still decently crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, so I guess they were turning it over fast enough that the chaffing dish wasn’t making it dry and soggy.
There was also a sweets and breads table, but there wasn’t enough of it — I got one cookie, and it was the last, and it didn’t appear that they were maintaining it. There was an assortment of fruit as well.
Near the entrance was an omelet bar that others seemed to enjoy, but I’m not an omelet person. The bar was pouring mimosas. They appeared to have a decent selection, with 2 bartenders working the line. I was hoping for grapefruit juice, but settled for mostly orange with a splash of cranberry.
There was complimentary valet parking (with validation stamp). Unfortunately the area to wait for the valet was in front of H. Stockton, which wasn’t out of the brisk wind.

Stopped by for Sunday brunch and truly enjoyed our meals! The place is a little hard to find; an investment in signage would do a world of good.
The meal started with excellent zucchini bread; a perfect start! The brunch menu had a great variety and all of the dishes seemed delicious. I had the Eggs Savannah and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since! The seafood cakes were perfection! Surprisingly, the potatoes were amazing… not just an afterthought, but instead a well-​seasoned compliment to the meal.
My friend had the shrimp and grits. I’ve had shrimp and grits all over, as it’s one of my favorite brunch items; however, I’ve never had shrimp and grits like this. The flavors are spectacular and the shrimp are plump and juicy, but the texture of the grits wasn’t what you’d expect. The grits were just a little too creamy.
My other friend had an omelet and added the breakfast meat sampler (appetizer) to the entrée. The omelet was ok, nothing special, but the breakfast meats were awesome! Three different types of pork… how could you go wrong!

We ninjas, even though we are like Gods, have to make budgets as any other mortal soul, as many of you may know from my other awesome reviews, I love ScoutMob, not only because the deals help me stay withing budget but because I’m introduced to places that I would otherwise ignore. Such is the case with Olmsted.
Unlike many reviewers, my experience here was quite pleasant. I waited outside for my company to arrive before they opened for business, someone came over to ask if I wanted a menu, coffee etc. Good start, they were paying attention. I decided to wait for my company to arrive. Anyways. when she finally got there… 30 minutes late… yeah, I know she’ll be reading this; you were late! you know that makes my ninja senses tingly and edgy. Anyway, coffee took forever, the waitress asked for forgiveness as she had to brew a new fresh pot… I was in a good mood so I did. The food was good, I ordered the crab eggs benedict, they were perfect, she ordered an omelette and some salmon dish, my eggs were much better IMNO.
The omelette was just nothing really out of the ordinary. Well, there you go, we had good food and the service was decent as well… thanks to Scoutmob, otherwise I wouldn’t have considered it. BTW I wouldn’t recommend it for a first date unless you have that Scoutmob deal… just not a place that I would to back flips-​side kick-​sidekick-​roundhouse to temple over for going there.

Crab cakes benedict was amazing, same for the breakfast meat sampler. Hashbrowns (read: tiny potato wedges) were cooked perfectly — nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and not over-​salted. Fresh ingredients around. My only gripe is my omelette was slightly overcooked.
The patio is my new favorite in Atlanta. So quiet and secluded in the middle of the city. Our service was pretty stellar too. I’ll be back.

We ended up here for brunch on Sunday as getting to Holeman & Finch exactly when they open was still 30 minutes too late, and I was too hungry for a 2 hour wait after a 25 minute line wait to get inside. Enter another long time bookmark Olmsted. I’ve been wanting to try Olmsted for a long time, but yet, for some reason we’ve never made it there. Until Sunday, when I was determined to mark off a long time Unilocal bookmark.
Olmsted was a little difficult for us to find, Basically, it’s in the same building as the Midtown Highland Bakery, valet (complimentary and bring your ticket to the restaurant hostess and they’ll stamp it for you), and head up the stairs from the parking garage and around the point of the building and you have found Olmsted.
We were seated immediately, the place was only half full, which was a little surprising since it was noon on a Sunday and most brunch spots were hopping at that point. Service was friendly, and the view of the little park around the restaurant was a sweet surprise (although it shouldn’t have been, any place named after Fred Olmsted (landscape architect) should have a lovely little green space).
Since we’d been planning on H&F burgers, my hubby got the Olmsted burger, which while very good, was not a H&F burger. But he enjoyed it. I got the Savannah eggs, which was basically eggs benedict w/​crab cakes and spinach. YUM. I’ve had crab cakes benedict several different places, and it always ends up being a mushy mess.. .but these were GOOD. I think part of the reason is the quality of the crab cake was really good. Lots of crab!
We also got a mimosa and a BLT bloody mary when 12:30 finally came, and both were excellent. I really hate it when I order a mimosa and you can taste the cheap champagne, but this was made with a quality champagne and was bright and tasty and I was tempted to upgrade to the bottomless mimosa, but decided I better not.
Overall, I was very pleased w/​Olmsted, it’s a bit out of the way for us, but I enjoyed it enough to return. I see from some negative reviews the service was not good, but to that I say our service was very friendly and helpful. Just goes to show one bad egg can ruin an experience.

I went today at lunch with clients. It is hard to find and unless you work in that area it seems it would be hard to pull people in. However, once you get upstairs it is a pretty spot. The windows allow lots of natural light and it is a nice clean space.
The service was alright but three of the appetizers we requested they do not carry anymore. 3 out of 5. it is time to update the paper menu!
I was famished so I wanted to order everything and in hindsight I wish I ordered a salad. My hunger called for the French dip which is not something I ever order. It was very high quality but the goat cheese salad would of been more my style.
They have only two desert options… bannan pudding and brownie. The brownie option is so unoriginal for a restraunt of this caliber so we went with the pudding. It was not good at all. It tasted of heavy cream and no bannan flavor or chunks.
worth trying the main dishes but they need to pull together the appetizer and desert options.

Like most other reviewers, I went to brunch because I had purchased a scoutmob deal. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed home and stuck to a bowl of frosted flakes and a cup of coffee.
The Good:
The food was not bad. Though, overall It was nothing the write home about, the «eggs Olmsted» and breakfast potatoes were not bad. The mushroom omelet was, well an omelet. The bloody, rimmed with old bay, was also rather tasty.
The Bad:
The service was among the WORST I have ever experienced. Despite having a reservation at 12:30, and checking in exactly at 12:30, we were made to wait close to 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, our waiter came to take our drink order. Upon informing him we had a scoutmob, and seeing his eyes roll, he took our drink order and preceded to disappear for about 10 minutes. Upon his return with our drinks (4 cups of coffee and 2 bloody mary’s), he took our food order, which included a bread basket, a meat plate and a salad.
Roughly 25 minutes later, our entrees arrived. Wait a minute, what happened to our bread basket, meat plate and salad. He must have thought that those were desserts. After asking him about these, the bread and the meat plate appeared within a few minutes, however, the salad was still missing. My dining companion needed ketchup, and seeing as our server was not visible, I just went to the kitchen and got it myself. Clearly, checking on the table was a bit too much to ask for.
When the manager saw this, she came to check on us, we asked a third time about our salad, and she very quickly obliged and brought them out for us. By the time this happened, we had finished eating, and were ready to leave. Brunch should not take this long (unless you want it to).
Overall, I see no reason to go back to Olmsted. I can get the same food at any of midtown’s other establishments. If they can fix their service, they may make it in what I am sure is a high rent footprint.

I welcome Olmsted to one of Atlanta’s brunch «must go at least once» restaurant.
Using the Scoutmob deal, my friend and I went on a Saturday, around noon. The window walls provided a bright open ambiance. This was a great place where you can enjoy your company and not be distracted by your surroundings.
We both had the mimosa which was bright and refreshing. We then started with a breakfast meat sampler. This included a sample of their sausage, bacon, and ham. All the meats were savory, which awakened my taste buds for the upcoming main dishes.
For mains, we ordered Shrimp and Grits and Eggs Savannah.
Their Shrimp and Grits is by far the best I’ve had — in my life. Corn is mixed in with the grits adding a little sweetness and crunch. A wonderful sauce blankets the grits with an amazing flavor (bacon, tomatoes and herbs — yum!). All of this added with a bite of shrimp is … perfection. I would go back just to have this dish again.
Eggs Savannah was delicious too, but the shrimps and grits out-​shined it for me. This dish also had a nice serving of crab cake sandwiched between a nicely cooked biscuit, sauteed spinach, and a poached egg.

Nice outdoor seating with a view of the corporate King and Spalding courtyard. Impeccable wait staff.
I went here for brunch using a scout mob deal. Three different types of bloody Mary’s were nice, but the garnish was better than the taste, which needed more salt and overall flavor. The carrot bread was delicious. My entrée, the crab and shrimp egg Benedict, was decent, but the poached egg was a little over cooked — yolk wasn’t runny. I know poached eggs can be difficult to time, but a good restaurant should have it right. The fried chicken needed a kick, and the Mac and cheese was just blah… However, the portions were large, enough to feed two.
The story of Olmsted is interesting, ask your waiter about him and they’ll happily share.
I might dine here again.

Great brunch spot! Airy and full of light, and our service was A+. My only complaint is that we sat for a while before anybody took our order.
I had the BLT bloody mary which was pretty good. I also got the eggs savannah, which was awesome. The crab and shrimp cakes had huge pieces of meat and the eggs were poached to perfection.
It is a little pricey, but I will definitely go again when I want an upscale brunch.

Olmsted is one of Midtown’s newest restaurant additions and located in the back of the King and Spaulding building. The interior is pristine with high ceilings, modern décor with spacious seating. There was a lot of natural light which I really enjoyed. I recently came here with a group of co-​workers for lunch and the atmosphere was much the same, very business-​eque.
I ordered the Seared Tuna Salad with mango salsa bits. The tuna was average, definitely not bad but nothing special in my opinion. The salad dressing was delicious and I loved the mango twist. One of my co-​workers ordered the Roast Beef French dip and it looked amazing, I will be getting that next time. Our waiter was superb. He was quick with our drinks and entrees and extremely polite. Every seemed to enjoy their meal.
Overall, a great place for lunch during the week and I’ve heard they have brunch on the weekends as well. A new promising spot for mid-​towners!

Wonderful restaurant space, especially for brunch… it was light and airy with lots of windows, tall filmy white curtains, and sleek décor. Friendly and prompt service as well. We took advantage of a great Scoutmob deal: piece of homemade carrot/​zucchini bread, house cured meat platter to share (including delicious bacon), choice of mimosa or one of their unique bloody Mary’s, and choice of any full sized brunch entrée. I had the crab cakes Eggs Benedict– generous portions, good amount of crab in the crab cakes.

Had a ScoutMob deal for this brunch and took my girlfriend. Great food — while the atmosphere was a little lacking. The great part was that we asked to be seated outside and the staff was happy to oblige. The service at this place was fantastic — as most, if not all of the staff, were former managers at other Atlanta spots.
The only negative with the food was actually the bloody mary (as another reviews have stated), as it was a pretty cheap mix that looked more like neon red juice. The taste was average but the garnish was pretty great. My girlfriend’s had pickled beets that were amazing, while mine had a nice shrimp cocktail.
The bread and appetizer were splendid — as the cured pork plate was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Homemade cured bacon, cider brined ham (my favorite), and tender, flavorful italian style breakfast sausage (my gf’s fav).
Our meals were equally delish! And we split both so we would have a chance to try each others — good thing we agreed 100% on the review! My gf’s burger was perfectly cooked and full of great beefy flavor. My dish was amazing as I got the crab & shrimp cakes with eggs benedict — perfect, perfect, perfect! Great potatoes too!
Overall, I would easily go back for brunch and plan on bringing my mother at some point. If not for the average atmosphere inside and the cheap bloody mary mix, the Olmsted would have gotten 5 stars. For now, we’ll go with 4 — the food was just too damn good!

Not sure if it’s just me, but this place is nothing to write home about.
We came for brunch. Staff is indeed very attentive, as everyone mentioned. The atmosphere and setting — way too bright and office-​building-​like for my taste. This made the experience feel generic and chain-​restaurant like.
Food was good, but not anything I will rush to come back for. We had a Scoutmob offer that came with an appetizer (cured meats — WAY too greasy and heavy to share for 2 people), eggs benedict and shrimp&grits (very good, no complaints), and drinks. Not sure about how the mimosas are, but my bloody mary was pretty terrible — the mix tasted like bottom-​shelf Kroger brand at best.
We also ordered latte & cappuccino, and those cups are TINY, and coffee was not nearly hot enough. You do not get the regular size cups you get in other places for the same price. I ended up having to get two lattes, because one was just a tease sip, and that alone was probably close to $ 10. They also don’t carry skim milk — good to know for the calorie-​conscious coffee drinkers.
Bottom line — it’s OK, if you get the ScoutMob discounted deal. But I’m definitely not coming back — there are too many much better restaurants in this city at the same price point.

Staff is super attentive, food is excellent quality and very expedient. Great for when you need a great experience, but have lunch hour time constraints. Try the lobster Roll, the huge and sliced to order french dip, or one of their humongous salads! Everything is outstanding here. Brunch is also something worth trying!

We came here for brunch which was a good choice! Olmsted is where Troi used to be. There’s complimentary valet parking. Service and food was great! They just started serving brunch over a week ago so it wasn’t busy at all.
FOOD: I had the eggs Savannah, poached eggs, toasted English muffin, fresh blue crab and wild Georgia shrimp cakes, sauteed spinach, creole sauce sharon $ 18 which comes with a side of home fries. Talk about lots of good food!!! Even tho’ I was super hungry, I couldn’t finish all of it. They’re known for their blood marys and bellinis at brunch time.

Had lunch here today — smoked salmon app and trout with corn, kale and tomatoes. The place is beautiful and the food is great!
