Is this place even open? Trying to find a place to workout during an extended layover, but no one picks up the phone.

Great gym and location. Old school weights and equipment but it’s 100 times better than what you have in your hotel. Very clean. $ 8 day pass well worth it.

Nice gym. Not the most up to date gym but still very do(able). I loved the location.

Outdated yet useable equipment. A few treadmills and stationary bikes are in the front. Ellipticals and a stair climber are also available. Circuit machines fill up the rest of the main room and are in adequate condition. The free weight room is in the back. The room features one free weight bench, one inclined bench, one declined bench, one squat rack, and a Smith Machine. The equipment is nothing to write home about but is more than adequate enough to get you through a good workout. The good points are location, usually no crowds of people, and it’s a 24⁄7 key card gym.

I still enjoy Olympus Gym. It’s not LA Fitness, but that’s what I like about it. It’s a bit older and the equipment is not brand new or top of the line but it gets the job done if you’re serious about working out. I did the LA Fitness thing for years and got so tired of the crowds. The people at Olympus Gym are average folks who are just truly there for a workout(AKA it is not a bunch of bodybuilders and models) so there’s no weird feelings of intimidation or inferiority. I think that’s one of the things I love about Olympus is its family/neighborhood atmosphere. There’s a regular mix of black, white and hispanic customers who are all so friendly. Olympus replaced the bulbs in the women’s tanning bed which warrants the additional star. I’ve gotten a good tan in there quite recently. A few other small but important things I appreciate about Olympus – Free towels and washcloths!(large & small towels). Disinfectant Wipes!(not just Windex – Windex doesn’t necessarily disinfect. LA Fitness would always put out those bottles of green spray that wasn’t even marked as a disinfectant – what’s the sense?) Antibacterial Soap in the bathrooms, and decent toilet paper(LOL. But seriously this is important). Thanks Olympus for being a good neighborhood gym.
