Dr. James D. Anderson, Jr. earned his D.D.S. degree from Emory University Dental School in 1975, and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Georgetown University Medical Center in June, 1979. He began his specialty career in Atlanta in July, 1979 and subsequently established James D. Anderson, Jr., D.D.S., P.C. on April 1, 1981. Dr. Anderson received his Board Certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1982. He practices the full scope of his specialty with particular interest in TMJ and trauma surgery.

Dr. Anderson is a long-​standing Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southeast Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Soc
