Planet Fitness – Atlanta – Plaza Fiesta

I love the convenience of this location and that the equipment and facility are very clean. I wish they had later hours on weekends including Friday nights. I wish they would add some new and different equipment like rowing machines.
My biggest gripe is that recently it has been ridiculously warm in there. I asked them once to turn up the huge fan and they complied but tonight they turned it down during peak usage time at 8 pm and when I asked them to turn it back up they didn’t. I realize most people aren’t working out that hard there but I ran 5 miles on the treadmill. Very frustrating and will definitely make me swap gyms if it continues :/

Lets start with this I been going here for a year. In general ok environment, acceptance and no judging blah, blah. They blair the stupid alarm lunk b.s. But are timid to say anything to anyone who smells the joint up or leaves crap all over the place. Never will step foot into the bathroom unless i have no choice. Equipment is subpar at least its clean. Don’t even ask to buy more equipment that’s a joke.
If your out of shape and ready to get into shape this is the place for you. Eventually you will one graduate this place like the staff that were employed here. Or you feel like a moron wasting your time and money here. I will be going back to a poor customer service at that other gym, but i will look damn good doing it.
I don’t speak to the employees anymore, because again cool people left. Now they look busy doing something not sure what. Although, I asked about a weird payment that came out. Poor child had no idea what a bank account is or what money means. I asked another fellow to spray some air conditioner because a dude smelled of B. O he did it. Overall the people who work here do just that.
If you read this Planet fitness buy some more equipment a real preacher bench add more barbells your try-​hards like to hoard them. And please replace the sit up mats they are disgusting.

I liked going to any planet fitness location, unfortunately the manager at this location which by name was Ryan if not mistaking, was not helpful with anything instead he was very rude wanted to hang up the phone and didn’t help.
I had a problem with this location membership due to a payment fed that I was never told about, one of the workers here said I owned 40 dollars then when I called managers said it was 170 ?? And he could help me reduce to 120 when I never used this membership a 10 dollar membership when I did told this people to cancel and got a new account. I called the corporation and said yes we cancel your account but there was a balance .? Of what? If I had a balance oh hold why would they ever let me get a new membership?
All of this makes totally no sense and as costumer service the manager doesn’t know anything, again he was very RUDE and didn’t really help. I’ll never come back again and honestly I was probably using the gym once a month.
And most of my friends will definitely stop coming here too.
And if you want to get a membership DO NOT COME HERE!

Always a great experience for myself at this location! I am greeted when I walk in and when I walk out. I am usually there after 5pm and it is not overly crowded. Not the average «Club» LA Fitness experience so wearing a tshirt that does not match your sneakers is totally acceptable here :-)!

I recently relocated from Washington DC to Atlanta, GA area. In DC I was going to the same planet fitness for about 3 years (not regularly but you understand). Maybe I’m just familiar with the setup at my home gym so take my critique with a grain of salt.
First, I don’t know who designed the layout of the machines but its really awkward. It seems to be logical for all machines targeting arms would be grouped together and all machines targeting legs would be grouped together and so on. That’s not the story here. Its like they put machines wherever. They do have TV’s upfront like other planet fitness but not one TV has closed captioning. I prefer to listen to Pandora and read what’s on the TV. I would think this is a easy fix –right? You just change the TV settings. Water fountain water is also disgusting and lukewarm at best. DC planet fitness had filtered water machine so I guess I’m spoiled.
Positive comments is that the gym is clean and parking was easy. Staff is also friendly. As I mentioned earlier I’m new to the area and they were helpful in transferring my membership.
