I used a Groupon for a full set of lash extensions and complimentary refill. I wish I had read the other review before going. When I arrived the tech was ready for me right away. She glued both eyes shut and she had to pry them apart only to open them to a terrible burning sensation. My lashes have visible glue on them and they look more like strip lashes than individual lashes. I’ve gotten my lashes done before and it’s not supposed to hurt. My eyes watered the entire time. Save yourself and your lashes… don’t go!

Went to Pretty Face Make-Up Studios last Thursday to get my eyelashes done for the first time. I purchased a Living Social deal and only paid $ 29 for what’s supposed to be a $ 50 service, guess that should’ve been a red flag right there. The Living Social deal is advertised as a full set of MINK eyelashes, these do not feel like mink. Lets go back to the beginning… Purchased this Living Social Aug 10th and made an appointment for Aug 19th at 5pm. Now eyelashes are a process and can take anywhere from and hour to an hour and a half to apply for appointments and careful bookings are necessary to avoid any inconveniences to customers. On the day of my appointment it had been raining cats and dogs so I was in an unfamiliar area in torrential rain. I must’ve called the listed number for Pretty Face Make-Up Studios 10 times and never got an answer. When I FINALLY found the location there was another woman there scheduled to get her lashes done at 5 as well, someone screwed up somewhere. Luckily(or maybe not) the woman before me though had lashes that were too thin and couldn’t hold the weight of the faux lashes so she was up and out in about 15 minutes, my turn… I don’t remember the name of the woman doing my lashes but she was friendly enough and spoke to me throughout the entire thing, I had to keep my eyes closed the entire time though because apparently the glue they use«burns like the dickens» when it gets into your eyes. During the process she kept going on and on about how good they looked so I was really excited to see what they looked like. When she got done with my first eye and told me I could look, my eye was glued half shut. It hurt like hell and she was trying to spread my lids apart. I had to push her hand away. I finally got my eye open and when I did, it burned like crazy. I almost lost my shit, but then I saw my eyelashes through half watery, burning eyes and thought they looked nice enough so I laid back down for her to do my left eye. Same thing happened with that, got stuck, tried to pry open, finally got it open, burned, etc. My eyes burned all the way home where I realized an eyelash in the corner of my eye ALREADY beginning to lift and very visible glue on the lashes. What BS. Between the pain of having my eyelids pried open after being glued shut and the«Chinese super glue»(her words) type glue, I honestly don’t think eyelashes are worth the trouble. However, I just think this place does a shoddy job but still… If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
