This is a great place to grab drinks with a friend or go on your 1^st, 2^nd or 10^th date. The service is great, too. Ask for Rachel when you go. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and provides service with a sincere and genuine smile.

Had brunch here on a Sunday for a friends birthday. Unlimited mimosas and bellinis were extremely tasty. Our server Brian was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the egg pizza and I loved every single bite. I would definitely teturn here, as the establishment is extremely cute, and the outdoor patio is a summer must!

Two years of searching for delicious, home made Italian food in Atlanta had lead me here, and it did not disappoint. We went for a quick weekday lunch, so we didn’t experience every aspect (bar, dessert, etc), but what we did have was amazing!
I had the fettuccine di mare, in a basil cream sauce with shrimp and crab meat. The pasta was freshly made in house and was the perfect texture. The sauce was extremely flavorful, but did not overpower the softer flavors of the shrimp and crab. It was everything I could have wanted in a made from scratch Tuscan style meal. The service was quick and attentive without ever being intrusive.
I hope to return soon for dinner so that I can experience more of the menu.

I ate here when I was in town for my nephew’s college graduation. The food was delicious, great patio, nice staff and I love that they have Château Miraval rose by the glass. The only reason I’m only giving them four stars is that despite it not being busy the food was very slow to come out and the prices were a little steep.

Typical Italian. Small dish, lots of carb. And a hefty bill. Quite honestly, can someone tell me why to go there, after you know you can have a fresh lobsters,

Came here on a Friday night for dinner. We called while enroute & made reservations for 2 at 9pm. The décor is unique and modern, I love the back wall of wine. Our server was prompt & attentive. We ordered the flatbread with tomato and basil as well as the calamari for appetizers. Both were tasty. For our entrees, I ordered the Romano crusted chicken & he ordered the Fettuccine di mare. Both came out of the kitchen just as we were taking our last bites of the apps. My chicken was cooked perfectly and the accompanying linguini & vodka sauce was soooo flavorful! He enjoyed his dish as well. We skipped dessert, but will most definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. I highly recommend this place for dinner.

We visited Atlanta and stayed in Mid-​Town on a Friday in early December. Every restaurant near the hotel was booked with Christmas parties are full with reservations. Princi Italia was able to find us a table. What a good meal. Truly one of the best we have had in Atlanta. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

Visited for Sunday brunch. The pepperoni pizza was over salted and calamari bland in flavor. The margarita pizza was very good along with the house salad. don’t try chicken and waffles at a Italian restaurant lol… the ambiance is lovely and they do have a nice patio service was good. Maybe next time they’ll have it all together

I came here first about seven months ago. The service and food were absolutely amazing like a really great play. All of the performances from start to finish combined to create a brilliant experience. But…
I moved away and came back here for the first time in several months. The service and parts of the meal were still great, but when the star of the show finally came out, we found out that we got the understudy and the bitch didn’t know her lines.
The pasta dish that we loved so much and raved about, the very dish that we used to convince the people we were with to leave one place and go have dinner at Princi, was just awful tonight. The sauce was bland and the pasta was overcooked to the point that it was difficult to eat. Ironically the only person out of our group to order the least Italian thing on the meal (Chicken and Waffles) was the only one who enjoyed her meal. Honestly, I have had better stuff from the freezer section at Kroger then the meal today.
I will certainly give them another try as my past experiences have been stellar, but our meal today was a huge disappointment, especially considering we raved about it so highly to the people we were with. In the words of Gordon Ramsay, «What a shame…»

Nice place, really cool patio and reasonable service but they seem to be out of wines by the glass a lot of times and the food while good, is not fantastico. Pizza was solid but the crust went soggy pretty quickly (and no I don’t mean soft like truly a neopolitan pizza really is at the center… but kinda all over) which was not good eats. The charcuterie plate was quite good. Small portions of coppa, salami and proscuitto and two cheeses, but everything was really really good and in my non-​greedy moment, I think it really was the perfect antipasto plate. Cocktail had to be slung back (dry martini does not mean more dry vermouth!), short rib tagliatelle was serviceable with really tender ribs, but they were weirdly dry. But on another occasion the carbonara was quite sublime.
I would go there again to hang out on the patio which is really very nice for enjoying the outdoors, people watching and petting the occasional friendly pooch that has decided to investigate your pizza. A very solid 3.5 stars

We ate lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I would not recommend this place. The service was so so. The food was so so. That is the reason for the 3 star review.

My friend and I came here for lunch one day. Overall the ambiance was great and so was the service. However, the food here was just okay. Not bad, but just average.
We got the mussels to start. The broth was a little bit saltier than we’d liked. I got the lunch pizza special. The pizza was really greasy and did not taste any different from frozen pizza I would eat at home. My friend got the Spaghetti Bolognese which was good, but nothing special.
I wish the food was better given Princi is perfectly located, has great ambiance and wonderful service.

Some very creative but simple dishes.
The scallops with butternut risotto is especially good. Pastas are excellent. Be sure to get one of the house margaritas (made with Salerno) or the gin drink with sage. The basic house salad is absolutely phenomenal (yeah I know, who gets excited about a house salad?)
The décor is a nice sleek modern look. The outdoor dining is great. We’ve eaten here 4−5x with very good experiences at all the visits. The pizzas are decent, but I’d steer you to the pastas and other entrees. I recently had a pork dish there that was fantastic!

Summary: Ambiance couldn’t be better, the patio is perfect and the food is sublime.
We live and work within walking distance of Princi so we dine here quite often. I could name the many things on the menu to try but a few highlights — the calamari, the capellini pasta is so simple yet so delicious, the pizzas are mouthwatering and the gelato is the perfect end to an already perfect meal.
We’ve had lunch and dinner here many, many times but are dying to do brunch one day.
Go ASAP, you will not be disappointed.

Summary: Beautiful space in midtown for tiramisu & wine while listening to upbeat music
I stopped by before their dinner shift really got started on a weeknight and sat at the bar and loved this place! They have only been open for 4 months with lots of potential and are located in between midtown and the high museum off 12^th street. They are across from Ri Ra and next to Max’s Wine Dive. The interior is beautiful, such an open space with outdoor seating and a gorgeous bar. I was able to talk to the manager and they have craft beers and awesome wine selections. Although I only tried their tiramisu, it was amazing! It is different from the traditional tiramisu and it was cheesecakier and round. I liked both the presentation and the taste. I would not go on this conquest alone though if I were you. It’s huge and shareable. Well, shareable for some people! :P I also loved the music here. It was an awesome, upbeat mix of pop remixes, indie music, and top 40s. Everyone on the staff from the manager and bartender to the waiters are really nice. They have daily specials of pastas that are all around $ 20-​$ 25 with a different special every day of the week. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying their Italian food.

I cannot possibly write a good enough review about this place. We walked in at 5:45 pm on a Tuesday and greeted by 3 – 4 very friendly staff. They gave us a perfect corner window table and offered up wonderful suggestions. We ordered multiple appetizers and were beyond happy with them. Including the Caesar salad, meatballs, tortellini, caprese, fig bruschetta and the fig pizza. All were very good but we didn’t even finish half of it. They packaged it all up very nicely for us to take back to the hotel with us.
I highly recommend this place. Very fresh, clean, modern and lovely all around environment and service.

Sometimes, it’s not about finding something exotic and unique, it’s about simple and basic food. You aren’t seeking something that will awe you, just a good meal and easy service. This set of ambitions is exactly how I, personally, interpreted Princi’s approach. The restaurant is based out of Dallas and the Atlanta location is very new.
— SPECTACULAR SERVICE. I think this is important to note, because this was by far the most impressive thing about the restaurant. The manager was highly attentive and so was our server Brian, providing great recommendations.
— APPETIZERS WERE AVERAGE. I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoy them, but I did not feel like the appetizers were nearly as good as they should have been. The truffle tortellini seems pretty basic, but both the cheeses used and the preparation was something I could have easily made at home. I thought it was overwhelmingly fatty and did not enjoy it much. The bruschetta with figs and Gorgonzola was also disappointing, the figs had some kind of salt added to them and just didn’t taste good. There was a ton of figs and barely any Gorgonzola piled on top of the bread, I wish it was the other way.
— ORECCHIETTE PASTA WAS PROBABLY THE HIGHLIGHT. I liked the sausage. I liked the pasta. Very spicy, very good, very simple.
— DONT GET ME STARTED ON TIRAMISU. It’s hard for me to interpret their presentation of tiramisu as anything other than the chef wanting to reuse ingredients from other cakes. They did not have lady fingers soaked in liquor, it was just a plain chocolate cake, white layers of whipped cream like substance. Again, going back to the «excellent service» comment, they were kind enough to take it off the check, leaving the lemon curd cake, which was pretty good.

Let me start by saying that the food is the only reason this is as high as 3 stars. The service is absolutely horrible here. The servers are amazingly slow and we were there when it wasnt really busy either. There were maybe 10 tables left when we closed out and it took 15 minutes to get our bills back and sign them.
I got the short rib and it was actually very good. However the fig and Gorgonzola flat bread was mediocre as there were maybe 4 small nuggets of cheese on the whole flat bread. Others at the table got the salmon (overcooked and cold), the breaded chicken breast and one of the veggie pasta dishes.
Overall I would say it is not worth it to go here, at least until they can get their act together from a service standpoint so you don’t feel you are in a college town where service is expected to be terrible. Get with the program Princi, you are in the middle of ATL and people expect basic service levels!

Princi is an Italian restaurant that just opened up at the corner of 12^th and crescent. It is beautiful inside and the staff is very attentive. Their menu is composed of fresh, traditional Italian fare. Lunch prices are very reasonable.
For starters, we ordered the fig and Gorgonzola bruschetta as well as the calamari. I’m not a calamari fan but my parents, who are, sang high praises. The bruschetta was flawless– the sweetness of the figs balancing out the rich salty Gorgonzola. At $ 6, the portion was huge. Probably the best bang for your buck in fine dining.
For the main course, I ordered the branzino which was flawless. It was served with olive oil, capers and olives and tasted like the Mediterranean. I’d be pressed to think of a fish dish as flavorful as this one in Atlanta. My parents ordered the carbonara, which I felt missed the mark, and the ravioli, which was good but a very small portion.
Dessert involved a lava cake that was on point but I wish had been cooked slightly less (I like the center to be super underdone).
While this restaurant is competing with a ton of other restaurants in the area, I do think this one will pull through– it’s above average service and food in a beautiful, sleek space.

I really liked this restaurant, which just opened up at the corner of 12^th and Crescent, in short: great food, great service, beautiful layout/​décor.
The first thing that struck me about the restaurant is the space — it is in a corner space and has floor to ceiling windows for two walls. All of that natural light, along with the sleek, light-​colored furniture make it feel very bright and open. They’re currently building a covered patio, also, which we can’t wait to try now that the weather is so beautiful.
The restaurant makes everything fresh in house (the bread, etc.) and has a big brick oven visible near the back. They have a selection of bruschetta and flatbread options on the menu, all of which looked great — we opted for the traditional style (bruschetta di bufala). The bread was awesome, and it was piled high with tomatoes, a bit of buffalo mozzarella, and some evo — very tasty! For our main meal, my husband and I decided to share a pizza and a pasta (so we could try each of the staples), specifically opting for the black fig and gorgonzola pizza and the casarecce carbonara pasta. Both were excellent!
My husband and I had dinner at Princi Italia around 6pm on a Tuesday night. It was a pre-​theater dinner for us, and the server was great about keeping us on schedule. We were debating whether we had time for dessert (gelato was sounding really good), and the waitress offered to package it up so that we could enjoy it on our walk over to the theater — perfect! (And it was worth it — especially the pistachio-​almond!)
One issue — I couldn’t find a website for the Atlanta location of Princi Italia (there’s also one in Houston), so it wasn’t clear if it was possible to make reservations, or how to get other information (hours, etc.).
