They have a SunTrust inside the store! Yay! Wish the location on Ponce de Leon kept theirs. Parking is limited at times since there’s so many other stores and eateries next door, but once you’re inside everything is pretty great. Employees are always nice and helpful. Store is very clean and organized. Signage and décor are fresh, colorful, and up to date. As always, the sub station and hot bar have delicious options. You can never go wrong with their rotisserie chicken or a sub for a quicker lunch or dinner option. They have a great selection of cheeses and meats at their deli section. My favorite is their prepared chilled items right next to their deli. The spinach and artichoke dip as well as their chicken buffalo dip are must haves! They’re both so addictive! Their wine selection is also pretty great! Publix is a great one stop shop for grocery needs. I never mind paying a little bit extra for a great shopping experience.

I gazed curiously at italicized lettering, «Never frozen!» it read. Blinking, I tilted the rock-solid package of chicken breasts to another angle. Still frozen, hmm, I thought. The creaky, cobweb-covered gears of my primitive brain began to squeak and move. Avery, the hamster that powers my thoughts, chewed at his haunches before ejecting a lunch peanut from his cheek’s pouch in order to summon the energy to begin spinning my dusty brain-wheel. Wait a second, my inner monologue began… …actually pretty much everything that should be fresh is frozen here. Produce exhibits the wrinkled, tell tail signs of crystallization, cell collapse and bruising. Meat is blatantly iced. I mean, I don’t have high expectations for the South’s horrible regional chains but this one is rather sad. Bereft of stock diversity, gloomy and frozen in the 1990s, Publix saunters on. It’s got staples and the employees are friendlier than the undead staffing the adjacent Krogers.

Dropped by at 10pm for some next-day essentials with my host, and found the experience better than fine, and the prices OK.

I like Publix. It’s clean and employees are helpful. I’ve been visiting this particular Publix for many years. It’s a smaller space but it’s much bigger than the mini Publix at Atlantic Station and the one on West Peachtree across from Macs. If I’m looking for variety or a specific ingredient, I can count on finding it here. I am fond of a bunch of the employees here. Lots of friendly faces that I get to see regularly. It almost feels like a neighborhood! As others have mentioned, parking is limited and sucks. It’s also on an incline making it really fun if you’re trying to unload. It is worth it here to take the offered help for unloading for that reason.

This Publix is just your normal Publix. The highlights are the fried chicken and deli, while the produce is limited and prices are not the best. I mainly go to the Publix because of the deli. I’m not sure what it is, but these deli workers have some attitude. Last time I was there, the girl making my sandwich kept complaining about how she didn’t want to be there. Not really the most professional and inviting thing to say. I honestly kind of felt bad I was asking her to do anything, as she was seemed really mad that she had to do any work. I’ve had consistent experiences of them ignoring that I’m ready to order, calling for someone else to take the order, etc. If you can handle the crappy service, then hey, still go to this Publix if it’s convenient. Otherwise, Trader Joe’s is just down the way, and they do a great job on the service aspect.

I love Publix. It will always have part of my heart for everything concerning groceries, memories of buying everything necessary for Thanksgiving, and one of my favorite subs in the world. Their customer service is always the best and the cleanliness of each store, though it may vary, is always above and beyond other crappier grocery chains. Good on ya, Publix. The only bad part about this Publix? Everything on the outside. It’s one of my least favorite parking lots to deal with. The adjacent LA Fitness makes it a nightmare for shoppers or otherwise. «Hey, I just worked out. I own this parking lot. I’ll tie my Nikes in front of your car as you’re trying to park if I want, BRO.» …Yeah. Not my favorite thing in the world.

I really do like your store, but the service received in your deli was really not acceptable. Yes, it was during morning hours, but the store had alreadfy been open for over an hour+. Two females were closer to the deli side and I was waiting to order a sub. They saw me. I was the only customer. However, instread of smiling and greeting me, they screamed for someone in the back to come out«Someone wants a sub.» How lazy can they be? Finally one of them came to help. Oh, I think her name was Jessica, but i could be wrong. She greeted me by say«hey». Do I look like your buddy? What happened to customer service? Why not smile and say hello and ask what I would like? Oh, and while you are at it, hairnets are worn for a reason. You need to tuck your long strands of hair into it. I am sorry that you do not like your job, but you are lucky to have one and I am sure that there are a ton of people who are willing to take your place. If it was not super busy at checkout, I would have spoken to a Manager. Ugh!

I’m pretty sure this is the hub for morningside stay at home moms and couponers. Somehow I always get stuck in line behind one of them and their 3 kids. I digress. This is my «home base» grocery store. It’s close to my condo and doesn’t involve sketchy 8th street publix. Variety is good. Produce section is small. Can be cramped at peak shopping times.

Kind of in a giant, dumpy strip mall parking lot area of ATL, but this Publix gets the job done with its low prices and wide selection. Christ, the latter part of that sentence makes me sound like an ad writer. I might need to slow down on the Unilocal reviews…

This is a good, all-purpose grocery store. For the most part, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I can generally find what I’m looking for when shopping here. However, I do prefer shopping at the Kroger next door if I’m in the area, and I tend to limit my trips to this Publix for last-minute items I need when I’m shopping at Ansley Mall. Having a Suntrust branch located inside the store is a great touch. It’s super-convenient to be able to bank and shop at the same place. I also think the produce section is nice, but the layout can be a little cramped and crowded during peak shopping times. If you’re a Publix fan, you won’t be disappointed. It can be tricky finding gluten free items as they are mixed in with the regular items. Perhaps if I shopped here more often, I’d figure it out!
