Puppy Haven

My pup Lola and I both love Puppy Haven. She knows when we’re arriving and she gets so excited. She doesn’t even glance back at me when I drop her off (kind of hurts!). The staff are all dog lovers and owners. To the reviewer who couldn’t take his Pit there, I wonder if it is due to insurance requirements. I know that several of the staff I have spoken with are active in dog rescue and I just cannot see them turning a dog away based solely on pedigree. They seem to care about each and every dog in their care but their approach comes from a very informed perspective – they stay current on outbreaks, CPR, canine behavior and how to handle pack animals. They keep the place very clean too. I can’t imagine taking my girl anywhere else.

I absolutely love Puppy Haven! The staff is extremely friendly and they know my dog by name. I never worry when I have to board her, even for extended periods of time. The owner Laura is amazing and made me feel 100% comfortable even on the first day. She even called to check on my puppy after she was spayed. Thr facility is always very clean and the boarding apartments are pretty big, which i prefer over a small cage. Recently they implemented a reservation policy for daycare and the last few times I’ve attempted to book ahead of time they were full. I’m glad business is doing well because it really is a great establishment but I’m sad that I can’t get my dog in when I need to. I would definitely recommemd Puppy Haven for doggie daycare and boarding.

We love this place, and so does our dog! We have used both the doggy daycare and boarding services and couldn’t be happier with it! Staff is friendly and great with the animals. I love that I can watch the webcams to check in during the day. They also have a good selection of Blue Buffalo food and several brands of leashes/​collars and toys at a competitive price. I will definitely be buying dog food from here in the future — shop local and support a small business!

Puppy Haven always takes great care of my dog! He is always super excited when we are pulling up and half passed out in the car on the way home. The staff are all super friendly and willing to answer any question and/​or request I may have. The fact that they are just as excited to see him as he is to be there is a testament to their «dog» friendliness. You can also watch him on the webcam and every now and then he might their IG or Facebook page!

No pit bulls allowed, unless they aren’t purebred and don’t have a large jaw. This is literally what I was told. I did not have my dog with me and never brought her in before. So sorry, just can’t get behind that kind of profiling. Let me mention that the employee I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. But one day I will find a place that will meet my dog first, and then accept or refuse her based on her merits rather than her breed. Until then, the search continues. It looked pretty clean and nice in here though. I’m sure it’s a great place for breedists.

The facility is clean, the owner is super sweet, the staff is friendly! My pups are always exhausted when I pick them up! Love how I can watch my pups on the webcam during the day too. The first time I took my dogs there we got a cute little postcard in the mail thanking them for coming in and welcoming them back. I thought that was a nice touch. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great place with people who care!

After what I felt was a les than satisfactory experience here, Laura the owner reached out to me and we spoke a few times about my experience. She could have just written it off as you can’t satisfy everyone but she showed me that she truly wanted to make things right.
Pet owners can be very protective of our pets and she showed genuine concern and invited me and my dog back again. I took her up on her offer and I am glad I did. She really seems to care about the dogs in her care.
Laura showed me that she is a great business person who not only wants to run a successful business but also be a part of the community. Oh and my dog was totally pooped the rest of the night so I guess he enjoyed it too.

Finally found a place that doesn’t treat my dogs like a four-​legged paycheck.
Maggie and Misha have been boarded several times and I’ve got nothing but compliments for their professional and courteous staff.
I feel like each time I go back, they’ve added some new piece of equipment for them to play on. Glad to see they’re committed to providing a fun and safe experience without the usual price hiking.
Downside: I’m convinced M&M are bored with my backyard without all the toys and playmates Puppy Haven has to offer. Guess you can’t win them all…

Puppy Haven’s great. It’s such a friendly neighborhood spot– my dog and I both love it! I take my dog for both daycare and boarding– the prices are great compared to other places. The staff is so sweet and always super caring and attentive to my pup. So glad to have this option so close by!

The staff at Puppy Haven are pretty nice and helpful. They offer great competitive pricing for the local area. One thing I will say about them is they don’t give many details and are short and to the point, when it comes to answering questions about my dogs. I’m one of those crazy dog people who usually takes them everywhere with me but when I can’t, I have to have them boarded. When I call or email to check on them, I always get the same «programmed» answer– «they’re doing great». I know how «finicky» they can be so I like to have a little more detail oriented answers. They’re Always short and to the point. Besides that, the staff seem to have little interaction with the large amount of dogs and offer no stimulation for skills. If it wasn’t so close to my house and good pricing I would be taking them elsewhere.

This is our fourth visit to Puppy Haven for doggy daycare and we (the dog and I) absolutely love it! They are so courteous and friendly and the seem to genuinely care. I love that they have both indoor and outdoor space for the pups because that can be hard to find in the city. They let them out 4 – 5 times a day to play and they do a great job separating them by size. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because they seem to have issues with their webcam fairly often, but other than that, I would highly recommend them!

Puppy Haven is great! I think you can judge most service based businesses by the courteousness (if that isn’t a word it is now) and professionalism of their staff. Laura and the rest of the staff here are awesome. If Kaden is treated as well as they treat me (which I know he is) then I’m sure he is in good hands. They know us both by name and he practically runs through the door trying to get inside. I have never had any problems whatsoever and he comes home and immediately passes out which is perfect especially if you have somewhere to be that night. And, the first time is free!
For those of you that live in the Brookhaven/​Dresden area this is the perfect place to go as well as support a local business rather than a big chain. Oh, and best of all you have until 7:30 to pick them up M-​Th which I take advantage of quite often. My little monster will not let me clean the house without following me around and/​or pulling out everything I put away.
To the dude who’s dog situation was «mishandled,» these are dogs we are talking about. They take every precaution by temperament testing each dog but sometimes shit happens. Kids get bullied in school, people fight in bars, dogs nut up from time to time. Get over it. As Chris Rock said to Siegfried and Roy, «that tiger didn’t go crazy, that tiger went tiger.»

Puppy Haven is awesome! Our dog, Mac, had a great time and was exhausted from all the fun when we picked him up at the end of the day. I really like the web cams that you can check throughout the day to see how your furry friend is doing. I also like that you get a report card.
The staff is very friendly and responsive and they did a great job with Mac. He will definitely be going back to play at Puppy Haven!
