Regency Suites Hotel

We blocked about 25 rooms for our wedding this past September, as we got married at the Piedmont Garden Tent at the Park Tavern. From the first encounter with inquiring about details and pricing, Joy was the best to work with. I can only attest to the best of her and her staff at the Regency Suites. She was prompt with emails, phone calls, and providing information. Joy even set up a private meeting with me to come and tour the hotel, discuss information, and provided a great packet with information on not only the hotel, but local attractions and wedding planning. Because all of our guests were from out of town, it was important for us to find a hotel that was convenient to travel to from the airport, around town, and most importantly the venue. All exceeded my expectations with this hotel. The guests were able to take MARTA from the airport, get off at the Midtown stop and next door was the Regency Suites. They all found nearby activities to partake in that weekend and then were shuttled over to the venue with complimentary shuttles. This was so important, as it rained during our entire wedding day and guests were easily able to get back and forth without any difficulty. Joy even added on a 3^rd shuttle the day-​of to make sure there was enough room for our guests to be transported. They had complimentary breakfast with hot waffles and a nice seating area. We also were provided with a complimentary meeting room (The Magnolia Room) for the Sunday after our wedding for a day-​after gathering. We catered in Panera and the staff at the Regency Suites put down white linen and made the room look much nicer than we had anticipated. Also, the prices of the rooms were great and fair for the location – sleeping up to 6 people per room. Our guests loved the rooms and the parking. The only complaint that I had was the loading zone in front of the hotel is right off of 10^th Street (a busy Midtown street), so those guests who were new to Atlanta were nervous about parking and unloading here. Also, some found it difficult to find the parking ramp and were stressed driving around the area. That is my only suggestion, but otherwise if I could give Joy and her staff and the hotel more than 5 stars I would. You all are the best and I recommend it to anyone looking to books rooms for a nearby event!!!

Paper thin walls, outdated décor, and a clogged tub. Eh, not my favorite hotel. Wouldn’t return.

We arrived at the Midtown Marta station and the hotel was right there on the left. We asked the front desk clerk if we could check in when we arrived 2 ½ hours early and that was fine. The lobby is quite charming and knew then we were in for a nice room. Yep, the room was not only nice and clean and functional as well. There is a tiny eat in kitchen for 2 with a fridge, microwave, toaster, 4 cup coffee pot with a new packet Starbucks coffee each day, real plates, cups, glasses, flatware and sink with a granite counter top. The room was a king with a sofa, chair, desk, and dresser. I especially liked the separate dressing room with the bathroom attached. The sofa and chair could use some sprucing up but was clean and the carpet looked new. The room came with free continental breakfast, which was just fine for us and fresh Starbucks coffee in the lobby all day. WiFi was a bit spotty. The important thing was the room and bathroom were clean. Publix is about ¼ a block away and a full service liquor store is right across the street. The front desk people were courteous but not overly friendly. We asked and received a late check-​out as well as an early check-​n. We would definitely stay here again.

The walls are so paper thin. It makes it hard to sleep whether it is noise from the street or from the other rooms (even if they are just being normal humans). Everything else about it is average or slightly below.

I was quite surprised by this hotel when I recently visited Atlanta for the first time in order to attend an event. The price was reasonable, and the room bigger than I expected, including a powder room separated from the bathroom. The amenities were pretty good, with the exception of spotty WiFi (typical for a hotel), and a non-​working mini-​fridge (didn’t bother to report it), but the continental breakfast was excellent with variety, and the parking convenient (but VERY cramped for bigger cars & two way traffic) with elevators from each garage level to every floor.
Although you are charged $ 18/​day to use the parking garage, this hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, and venues so I could avoid alternative parking charges around the city. I would certainly consider this hotel again if I happened to be in Atlanta.

Loved it. Loved it. If I had to fill out a survey every answer would be Extremely Satisfied. We stayed here earlier this summer. Our room was lovely. The staff was friendly and professional. The free breakfast was very good. We would definitely return.

Not a fancy 5 star hotel, more of a cute familial hotel. This was the hotel for my wedding. The service was superb and they threw in a few freebees (a room for a family dinner and a room for my wedding party to get dressed).
The suite itself was very clean and spacious.
Parking is my only complaint. Very tight squeeze.

We came there for my friends wedding and they made us feel very comfortable. The hotel had a shuttle that transported us to the reception/​ceremony and brought us back to the hotel afterwards. Every time we called or requested for something from room service, the response was very quick. It was a very comfortable stay with great Customer service. I would def recommend for wedding stay and if you are looking for somewhere in the area.

Older looking hotel, but it had most everything I wanted. The only really weird quirk that took me by surprise is how long it took to get hot water in the sink and shower. I had to run the water for a good 3 – 5 minutes before the hot water really kicked in.
The room was nice. Bedding comfortable and clean looking.
Didn’t get a chance to use the gym but took a look and seemed very complete.
Breakfast was decent, normal continental style stuff — waffles, yogurt, toast, muffins, coffee, tea, etc.
Service was great though. Love the location to the Midtown restaurants.

The hotel was great for the price. It was spacious and the staff (specifically Ken Wilson) were very accommodating. This was a staycation for my friend and I. We were attending the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and it was perfect. It’s conveniently located to many good restaurants and bars. We will be staying here every time.

Good place… Parking is 18 bucks… Meh… It is dated I don’t think they have updated anything in the last 20 years … It is very loud though. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything… The location is good and the price is right. I would stay here again to be in the heart of midtown…

Pricey, but right where we needed to be, with a great room.
We were in town for about 18 hours to see a show, and we needed somewhere to camp out. The Regency has the cheapest parking we found, and turned out to be a really nice place. The room was big– we just got a queen, but there was a couch, a kitchenette off in its own little wing, and a big bathroom. Well, a big vanity room (bear with me, I don’t know the terms– a big room with a sink and mirrors.) The toilet and shower were in a small room of their own; I think I would have stolen some of the sink room’s space for that, but oh well.
The bed was comfy, as was the couch. The view was of an office building, but at least no one could see in. All in all, a great place. I think we’d come back, for a longer visit.

Where to start? Well, bed bugs would be one place. Yup, bed bugs! Not surprising since the room felt dingy. The sheets were stained, the towels were stained and the ceiling was stained. Internet was extremely slow an took 20 minutes to connect. The room was VERY loud. I could hear every bus pass by and more, even though it wasn’t a busy area. Only positive, the people were nice.

Update to my previous post, I was recently informed maintenance was recently in the room fixing the air conditioner, which I am grateful worked properly. This was a busy weekend for them, and the housekeeping did not get back into the room to clean from maintenance being in the tiles in the roof which caused dust and dirt in the bathroom. An apology and recognition goes a long way. I will add an additional star, and plan to stay again next year for music fest!

Heading to ATL for a work trip, we chose this hotel because of it’s proximity to the venue we’d be working at — and due to the fact there was a ton of conferences and family reunions in town, leaving most hotels booked.
The staff was super nice — and check in was a breeze. Getting up to the room, they were super spacious, but can’t really say it was too impressive. I get it, this hotel is probably for people having an extended stay, but the kitchen area was outdated and the beds/​pillows were horrible. Even after a long day of work, it took me forever to get comfortable in the bed — the pillows were massive and hard… the mattress wasn’t comfortable… the linens weren’t the best quality… you get it. Then when I began to get comfortable I could hear EVERYTHING going on around me. From the kids running in the hall (at 1am, really?!) to the couple next door arguing about who knows what.
The bathroom was also pretty interesting. It had the sink and vanity separate from the toilet and shower. While the vanity area was massive, the toilet and shower part were TINY. I swear, it felt like I was on a cruise ship!
They offer continental breakfast in the mornings and one morning we grabbed a muffin. They also serve starbucks coffee as part of breakfast — that’s pretty cool for the ‘Bucks junkies out there, but I passed it up to grab a coffee at one of the many local coffee shops in ATL.
All in all — this was prob one of the most underwhelming experiences I have had at a hotel. There was FREE WiFi… so there’s that.

Mehhh — I booked her because it was within budget and all other surrounding hotels were booked or out of budget. The reviews seemed okay but since I travel so much and tend to stay in nice hotels, this one just didn’t live up to my standards.
Reasons I wasn’t a fan:
— Paper thin walls — so many families and kids so it was loud throughout the halls all day/​night.
— Bed wasn’t comfy
— Room was large but the bathroom was tiny
— The tub was tiny and since it was so small in the bathroom, it was just uncomfortable
— Maid service knocked on my door even with Do Not Disturb sign up
Just overall wasn’t a comfortable hotel. It wasn’t terrible but for the price I paid, I expected much more.

Sweet spot: great location, great service and support, and nice facility for a good price. Small suites are perfect for solo business traveler or couple in town for visit. Will be first choice on all future visits. All kinds of dining options in a 3 block radius. And a Publix right nearby makes the kitchenette extra useful. Quibble: relatively small tub/​shower.

A hotel with lots of perks. Parking is very tight and a 2 way road as small cars can park ok but if you own a large SUV your in trouble. The rooms and neat and space is good especially the suites with 2 beds. Breakfast is a light self service with the basics of cereal, waffle that you must make and toast, bagels and various teas. Hotel staff was good except the clerk sent me to a room already occupied but was corrected instantly. Would come back again.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the heart of midtown, I highly recommend Regency Suites. The con? $ 18 a day for super tight parking! Plus, no views :(Had to bump it down a notch b/​c of those reasons. In addition, their «breakfast» was limited to packaged pastries (muffins, cereal bars, etc) and packaged sausage biscuits. Yuck.
However, there was always fresh Starbucks brewing in the lobby. And plenty of Tazo teabags. AND, again, the convenience factor. It was just SO CLOSE to everywhere we wanted to go. Chances are, I’ll probably stay here again if I’m looking to go out in Midtown.
