History

Established in 1997.

We are a locally owned and operated small business, not affiliated with the Sears corporation. Our founder grew up in Atlanta swimming competitively, coaching, lifeguarding and managing community pools. After graduating college with a degree in Biology in 1996, Craig went back to school to earn an MBA in Management from GA State University, and started Sears Pool Management Consultants in 1997, incorporating in 1999. We remain active members of the Metro Atlanta Better Business Bureau, Association of Pool & Spa Professionals, National Drowning Prevention Alliance, GA Chamber of Commerce, Greater North Fulton Chamber, Cobb Chamber. We are an Authorized Provider of Red Cross aquatic programs. Our staff is fully trained and industry certified through APSP, NSPF, and ARC courses. We carry high limits of general & professional liability and work comp insurance. Our philosophy is quality growth and partnership with clients to create an optimal swimming pool environment for their members.

Business Owner

Craig Sears is President and Owner of Sears Pool Management Consultants, a 16-​year old firm specializing in the operation and management of commercial swimming pool facilities in the Metro Atlanta area. With 22 years experience in the aquatics industry, Craig is also President of the GA Chapter of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. In March 2012, Craig founded the non-​profit Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance, a chapter of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. Its mission is to reduce drowning and the spread of RWIs by increasing water safety awareness through community seminars and events, and to be an advocate for recreational swimming and the sport of competitive swimming. Craig has achieved various aquatic designations and certifications including an APSP Certified Service Professional, NSPF Certified Pool Operator, American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, NSPF CPO Instructor, and an APSP course instructor.
