Atlanta’s best crablegs in the hood! I once drove to ATL from Dallas just to get a plate. True Story.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! Smack yo grandmama, mama and friends good! The food is made to order and I can appreciate good, seasoned and hot seafood. I love their shrimp, either boiled or fried, I love it. They have a variety of choices for seasoning for the seafood that you purchase. The fried fish was ok but those shrimp, more please. I believe the customer service adds to the wow factor. The last couple of times I have been, there has been the same cashier there and the customer service that she provides is superb. The sides that we normally get is broccoli and potatoes, we enjoy them very much. I’ve heard people say that the seasoning can be too much but you can always request light seasoning with no worries. I will venture out and try some other things but for now, the shrimp just calls my name… try them, you won’t regret it. A customer told me that she lived in the downtown area and really enjoyed the food so much that she travels here once a week and guess what she gets every time, the fried shrimp. We even gave each other a high five on this. Try it! PS, this is a pick up and go place, no seating to eat in but there are chairs for you to wait on your food.

A co worker and I decided to get some seafood and she suggested this place. I didn’t go get the food so I can’t speak on the restaurant but the food was sooo good! I got Tilapia with a side of broccoli and it had old bay seasoning and butter all over it! Probably not the healthy meal I was intending to get but I don’t care lol!

I had crab shrimp seasons: lemon pepper, old bay, Cajun, and garlic herb w/broccoli potatoes & dirty rice. The crab was perfectly steamed& tasty, the shrimp was okay, the broccoli had nothing but butter on it which was a disappointment, the potatoes was awesome and the dirty rice was expectational. I have 3 stars because I think it would’ve taste a little better if it was spicy hence me picking Cajun and old bay. Broccoli was almost gross because of no seasoning and the shrimp was just… Forgetful. Everything else I’ve definitely come more than once a week for.

Great seafood and seasoned well. We eat here once a week sometimes twice. The only negative thing is that no one ever answers the phone so you can’t call ahead and order.

Food was good but service was terrible! They have you pick out your crab leg cluster and they are frozen solid! They need a new service worker cause she acts as if you are getting on her nerves when you order?! It was a great place to try but this will be the last time I visit.

I was in the area and kinda jus stopped by this place because I love seafood and the pics posted on here looked good. I see a lot of ppl complaining about the staff here. They were a little stand offish and looking like they seen a ghost and didn’t greet me at the door. Also seemed like they didn’t want to answer any questions LOL… So just know if you get crab legs there is a big cooler to the right of u and trays & tongs, you pick what claw of crab legs u want out the cooler. But honestly I could care less about all that I jus wanted to eat good. In which I did !! Food was really fresh and taste great !! I ordered a claw of Crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage($ 20)… it was well seasoned how I like it… the sausage link was nasty tho it taste funny but I’m a picky eater plus I don’t eat pork and I wasn’t sure if it was pork so I jus threw it out. Next time I will pick a different side. The strawberry Lemonade was GOOD too !!! The staff DEF need a class on customer service because unlike me some ppl care about all that and might not come back due to it !!! But I’m giving it 5 Stars !! I’m going by the food and food only!!! Customer service they get a 3.5 star. I def will be back though :-)

There is a significant lack of customer service at this establishment! The cashier seemed very impatient and snappy when I asked her a question about a menu item. I ordered half pound(0.5lb) of crawfish steamed with New Orleans Mix seasoning. Although the pricing at «Smackin Good» is reasonable, the lack of customer service and the OVER-Steamed, old, & small crawfish is not worth the time.

I give the food a 5. However, I’m taking off a few stars for service. I frequent this establishment at least once a month. The food a is great! I usually order ½lb of shrimp and 2 sides(broccoli and rice) and then add either a lobster tail or crawfish. The past few times I’ve gone here the individuals at the register acted if they didn’t care about working there. You would ask them ask them a question regarding the food and their response was either«i dont know» or a shoulder shrug. Overall, the food is great. I would suggest that you ask for lite butter if not your plate will be smothered with it! But… if that’s what you love go for it!

Decided to try this place. They never answer the phone at all. So today is Sunday and I assume they would have everything. The cons So they ran out of tilapia and whiting fish. They only have one size shrimp which is jumbo and it cost 14.991lb. Don’t go on a Sunday they barley have anything in stock. So we ordered two shrimp combs and a tilapia .The lady rung us up and realize she only had one piece of tilapia and she charged us for it. The cashier was a little dry. I brushed that off because it was just her & a cook. I could tell she needed to use the restroom& probably didn’t take her break. No place to eat but they do have chairs .its easy to miss. It’s in the same plaza with Hans. Pros the strawberry lemonade is magical sweet lawd! All I need is some liquor. It’s a hit and miss. The food was great you get small amounts. I would go back but only if someone else paying LOL

So I actually use to love this place, but recently the service has gotten to be really bad. Me an mother was craving this and we went just to get some steamed shrimp, brocc and potatoes. Well, we were told our food would be ready in 20 minutes, after an hour our food still wasn’t ready and the cashier kept saying its coming out in a minute! Um no just give me my money back is what I told her. That was very unacceptable and they didn’t offer a courtesy drink or anything for my wait. My family comes in from out of town and always want this but this last time recently when they were here their order was incorrect and again it took almost an hour to get their food. I’m very disappointed I used to love this place but its going down hill.

Pretty decent seafood. This was my first time trying here and I had the ½ lb shrimp platter with corn and potatoes in garlic/herb and Cajun seasoning. It definitely satisfied my seafood craving but next time I will be sure to pay the extra dollar to have the shrimp peeled and de — veined because the very heavy seasoning could not be tasted much in the shrimp, which was kind of disappointing. This caused the shrimp to have a slightly fishy taste to it, so I’ve learned from my trial experience. The potatoes came in two large, chunked portions and were cooked to a pretty good tender to crisp ratio. Glad to have found a seafood boil establishment closer to home if I can’t get to my favorite spots all the time.

I’m not mad at this place at all. Friendly staff, good food and a fair price. I ordered a seafood platter(½lb of crab legs, ½lb of shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage) and it was very filling. I also ordered a fish and shrimp combo plate as well(3 pieces of fish, 6 shrimp and a side). I expected less and got more. Always a good sign of a well run establishment. Here’s a secret… don’t skip on the strawberry lemonade. It is liquid crack! «Sooo good»

Great customer service. The name of the restaurant says it all… Smackin’ Good Seafood! If you are a seafood lover, or a fan of the low country boil, then this is a must try. Prepared to perfection, tender juicy crab at its best. Please try the garlic butter rendition, you will reach a whole new level of bliss! My words won’t do this place justice just go and give it a try. The staff are helpful and will give you advice on what to order, much appreciated. Cheers!

This spot is good. Check it out if you are in that sea food mood. The fish is fresh and and cooked to order. The crawfish will have your whole house smellin like sea food. Could be a good thing if you want to savor the smell.

Smackin’ Good is just that. I ordered fried shrimp, they were cooked to a nice golden color, juicy, tender, and oh so good. Customer service at its best, Ms. Annette is the best, my order was prepared quickly, if your a seafood lover you should try Smackin’ Good. I will definitely be a regular customer, and I highly recommend it.

I’ve tried it multiple times and consistently its good seafood. Well, that is if you can handle the sodium. The Spicy Cajun mix will hook you on first bite, but it is heavily salted. I get the same thing each time, maybe a variation between the 1 person meal and the full platter, but I get the same thing each time. For lack of a better term, I will call it the Combo. It cost about $ 35 now, use to be $ 25 when I first began coming here, but its is a mixture of crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage links. The $ 35 combo will feed two people, but lately I’ve taken to ordering extra crab legs clusters, because it seems as if you don’t get as many as you use to. The one person version of this combo is $ 18. It comes with one crab leg cluster, about six shrimp, corn, potatoes and a sausage. Once before I asked for the shrimp to be peeled and what I got were these tiny shrunk shrimp. No way do I think they were the same shrimp that normally come with the meal, so I will stick to peeling them myself, because they come out three times the size as the peeled shrimp I received. Generally, the staff is friendly, but my time with them usually consist of placing my order over the phone, swiping my debit card upon arrival and turning around and walking back out the door. I’ve never seen the place packed or even more than 2 people either waiting on food or placing an order, so I take that to mean that the south-side of the city does not know what they are missing with Smackin Good Seafood. I can’t recall if there are tables there to eat in. In my mind, I only see the chair for waiting not eating. Since I began coming here, they’ve had a sign up that says they will begin taking EBT cards, not sure how that will work since you can’t buy cooked foods with an EBT card, but maybe they plan to begin selling fresh seafood that you can take home and cook yourself. Personally, unless they sell that Cajun seasoning mix, Id rather go to Publix to buy crablegs I have to take home and cook myself.(oh what am I talking about, I don’t have an EBT card, so it won’t apply to me either way)

I have to give you the business about them. They are putting it down and smackin the Hell out of your mouth with seafood and flavor!!! I have visited three times and I have not been able to order anything but the steamed shrimp! My preference is the Cajun and garlic herb mix! They are not shy about there seasoning! The same good result every time. My co-workers have tried the steamed tilapia. They agree with me! It’s good Damn smackin good! Lmao
