The Annex location is a smaller facility, with a capacity of up to 75, suited primarily for small private gatherings — ideal for birthday parties, church and other group meetings and Sweet 16 parties.

Center+Annex share a large rear courtyard with skyline views of the city, that expands the overall capacity of the combined spaces by another 200+.

History

Established in 2005.

The short history of Spring4th Complex (originally Spring4th Center) could fill a book. And Rick Day, co-​owner, is writing it.

«A Thousand Paper Cuts» is the unbelievable, thrilling, depressing, roller coaster story of a small family business with the best of intentions that refuses to give in to the seemingly insurmountable obstacles placed in its way by the City bureaucracy and NIMBY nay-​sayers.

Fully operational for 18 months after finally securing all permits and a liquor license in March 2009, the business expanded in late 2010 to take over the adjacent club/​restaurant at 714 Spring Street. This space was briefly known as the «new» 688 Club before settling on the name QUAD @ Spring4th Complex.

Rick Day has a varied background which includes a stint on the barbecue competition circuit and a concession/​catering business in Dallas TX, Dallas BBQ-​to-​Go!

Rick’s wife Stacey, is a part-​time business consultant, allowing time for this family owned business.

The management team is rounded out by Benjamin Sessions (business development), Palmer Wood (operations), Chris Day (events manager) and Ike Tomlin (bar & event manager).

Never ever had anything less than an AWESOME time at this place. Huge mix of crowd, everyone there is friendly and theres always music for every preference (as long as you like EDM in general). Tuesdays are their best week night and they have stuff going down every weekend. A lot of time there is no cover charge if you get their early enough (I think weekdays only???). Give this place a shot, you wont regret it. My ONLY beef was last time we were there the bathrooms had NO TP or paper towels at all, but then again it was about 4am.

I’ve never had a bad time here :). They have superb music almost every day of the week. I am not sure what other place in Atlanta is packed at 4AM on a Tuesday, haha. Perhaps a little bit of rennovation wouldn’t hurt, especially in the downstairs bathroom ;).

Wanted to check out this club because we heard it was 18+ and had dubstep.
As far as the venue goes:
The venue itself it pretty big. It has great potential on the inside but really, nothing had been done to it to make it special or give it «wow» factor. The bar is SMALL and gets crowded quick. The outside is laid back. Feels like you’re in someones backyard party. There was NO music playing inside (heard it was technical difficulties). It was bland inside as well.
As far as the event:
The event we went to was BOGO night. We came in around 11:30 thinking it would be near full swing but like I said, there was NO music playing inside and everyone was standing around. Hardly felt like a club. More like a house party we weren’t invited to. Around 12:30, the music inside was back on and more people started dancing. But overall, it seemed unorganized.
I definitely got the vibe that this event was more of a local hangout rather than a dance/​club kind of place. It really threw me off. Since I’m not 21, I have been to many 18+ clubs in San Francisco and have high standards for the crowd, the atmoshphere and the music. Kinda let down but honestly, had fun goofing around dancing anyways while everyone else just stood there being «too cool» to dance. Probably would check out another club before heading back to this venues events.

I think one visit to this place is hardly enough for a comprehensive review, but the H2Glow event this last Saturday was certainly noteworthy and diverse enough in every way to warrant a short write-​up.
I came mainly for the electro house but as a pleasant bonus also got some (read: a lot of) dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass, trance-​y stuff, and classic rock remixes. The cool thing about a mixed lineup like QUAD’s is the opportunity for the candy ravers, fitted-​cap bros, and just average dudes like myself to be in one place at the same time without all that electronic genre snobbery that crops up in less integrated scenes. A UV glo paint/​foam and water-​balloon fight party that features dubstep is about as mixed-​up as you’ll find anywhere, and it makes for a much more relaxed atmosphere because everyone’s there to have fun — not be pro shufflers or poi-​spinners or wobblers or whatever.
$ 10 pre-​midnight cover isn’t bad at all (esp. for a party that goes for like 4 hours). My only gripes are that the set was a noticeably more skewed toward dubstep than the flyer’s lineup indicated and that a club soda was $ 3… Not enough to keep me away, though!

Was here for the FUNKY FLEA MARKET in February and it was really cool. I would visit again for a party or event. Nice spot!!! The only issue was the funky parking.

I have come here a few times now and I must say I really like this place. Not many places in ATL hold trance/​dubstep. And this place has an indoor space and outdoor. The outdoor is KEY because it gets HOT. and going outside for fresh air AND more dancing is pretty awesome. Especially with all the sky rise buildings all around you.
They have PBR for you cheapos aswell as good REASONABLY priced drinks. Keep in mind its a night club but the prices really are fair to me.

Came here this past weekend for the 1st Annual Funky Flea Market, and I became a fan right away. The venue offered great space for each vendor to set up without feeling like anyone was overtaking someone else’s space. The market used all of the side rooms, which were relatively easy to get in and out of.
The main room opened up and had a stocked bar and stage for the DJ to blast music as you shopped (Big ups for bringing back the New Jack Swing!) I never felt crowded inside and the vendors were all very friendly. From a operational stand point, there were no maintenance issues throughout the event, and the insulation of the building kept us warm as we moved around the building.
We had a bit of trouble getting free parking as their spots ran out pretty quickly. They are right next to Georgia Tech, so a few bucks can get you a good spot in the parking structure.
Great venue, hope to be back soon!

I checked this place out as a venue place yesterday and I was really impressed. What a novel concept, to have something affordable for rental that is actually in the city of Atlanta. This is good for meetings, parties small and large, gatherings, etc. Be warned that this is not for the matchy, matchy individual. Very few 2 things are the same, the colors on the wall vary greatly.
They do not charge you additionally for lighting, sound, projector, or a bunch of other things…

Great venue! I attended an event here and was impressed with the facility and the staff. Nice that there is a coat check, which seems to be a novelty at a lot of places. Yes, it does get freakin cold in Atlanta!
The acoustics in the main room where the DJ was playing were excellent and there is plenty of floor space to get your dance on. There were two bars side by side in this room and the bartenders were friendly and efficient and drink prices were reasonable. Although, I didn’t go outside, I noticed there was an exit off of this room with an awning and heater for those that need fresh air or not so fresh air if you require a smoke. Nice layout as there are other smaller rooms for food set-​up or a lounge area — whatever the event calls for.
Only negative, is that you need to guard your drink with your life. If you set it down to dance or whatever, it will be gone. Staff is too eager to keep the place tidy. Guess this could be looked at as a positive to some people, but it was a negative for me in that it took losing two drinks before I realized I either need to hide it or hold on to it while dancing.
This is a great space and I look forward to attending more events here.
Oh, and, Spring4th is convenient to Marta and there is small on-​site parking lot and a parking garage across the street. :-)

My thanks to Gretchen for blazing the trail as to how to provide feedback for the event — wasn’t quite sure.
I’ll add that the chocolate room was awesome; what a difference to be hit by chocolate smells instead of cigarette smoke (it’s a no smoking venue)!
One downside: though it was great that they were picking up trash in the venue through the night, I lost a couple of drinks that way and ended up having to hide them…

I’m compelled to leave a review based solely on the fantastic customer service I received last night! Friendly security! Friendly bartenders! Friendly food vendors!
Whoever is in charge of staffing is a genius!
That aside, what you’ve got here is a nice multi-​room venue with a large stage and outdoor seating area!
It basically gives you the option to be as creative as you want! Wandering around you feel like you’re discovering a playhouse and I was absolutely impressed!
If you’re looking for a great space to have your event, you found it!

Ok, so I’m not at all qualified to write a review of an event center after attending one event, but I feel compelled to point out a rare, important feature: a coat check!
You know how many «up-​scale» restaurants, etc. expect you to lug your coat around and dodge the wait staff while dressing and undressing among patrons who really don’t want to be bothered? AUGH. Spring4th has a coat check. I’m not sure if every event uses it… Note well, event planners, that a coat check lets your attendees feel like respected people rather than merely customers.
The rest? The space is nice. The large room in back was packed with vendors this time, but I can see it being open for other uses. Trash was bussed quickly and effectively (yeah, trash, but how many attendees use correct recycling containers even when available?). Plenty of rest rooms. Perhaps the most important point is that I paid more attention to the event than the space. It’s within walking distance for me, but there appears to be plenty of parking nearby.
I’ll be back for other events. Maybe it’s shallow, but the coat check bumps this place up.
