History

Established in 2003.

Stoney’s has been a proud staple in the Old 4^th Ward «O4W» community for over ten years. Our mission is to provide top notch service and a positive image for our youth to look up to. Stoney opened its doors in May of 2003 after a year of pain staking renovating. The owner Jimmie Jordan work and saved for over a year to self finance the project himself. He worked during the day as a Barber at Campus Hair World located in the AUC on Lee st. Then after work he would go to Stoney’s and work late renovating and remodeling the shop. After bout a year of that Stoney’s opened its doors. Serving the community.

I started cutting hair back in 1988 all form a silly bet. One of my younger brothers friend was bragging on how good he was cutting hair, but in reality he was a horrible Barber. So we got into it about how bad he was and the bet was on. I bet him that I could do a better job than him, and I did. Winning the bet and forever being hook on Barbering. I started The Barber Styling Institute in February and finished December 1993. Took my state board in 6 months later and have been practicing ever since.
