Must try this place. I can’t tell you how something as simple as a hotdog can be screwed up. So do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this delightful hotdog.

I was highly pleased with the spicy chicken dog I got. The guy cooked it right there on the spot and there both free and extra charge condiment options available. I will definitely go back and try other items. It’s a good price point too($ 6).

Chili Dogs, Sweet Italian and a Polish all prior to entering the Aquarium. They were great, simple, perfectly prepared. We were asked if We wanted ketch up on the chili dogs or Italian which scared me, but the food was good and fresh.

This place is a nice quick grab on the streets of downtown. A lot of business people stop by here on their lunch break but there is generally not a line. The brats are pretty good and you can get a lot of different toppings. Recommended if you are walking around Atlanta and still want to keep walking but still eat.

Mood: Pissed off to the nines. A cop on my college campus had just given me a ticket for running a stop sign in a bicycle, which irritated the hell out of me because people commit far worse violations on bikes all the time… but I’ll stop ranting for a sec. So I came across this little hot dog cart. I had actually heard about it before, and because they are a chain of hot dog carts, I felt that they would be decently clean enough.(aka not dirty, greasy, bad reputation for filth. The guy who handles the money and the guy who handles the dogs are two different people, so really there is no fear of getting the food dirty). Anyways. Checked the menu, and discovered that YESTHEYHAVEVEGGIEHOTDOGS! I’ve been a vegetarian for the past 7 years or so, and while I don’t miss meat, I do miss the hot dog + bun combo. Including tax, veggie dog is $ 4.05, which to me is a steal. The frank is huge, delicious, and topped with a crap load of ingredients(they even offer Goldfish as an ingredient!). Customer service was A+, cause the guys that run the cart actually talk to you. Sweet. Result: well, I still will have to waste an entire day in court fighting my ticket, but at least this awesome dog has been able to soften the blow, at least just a little bit! I’ll definitely be back for a repeat visit. I hope they open up in Midtown too!

This cart now has a grill, earning that fifth star. It may take a few moments longer to get your dog grilled, but it is SOWORTHIT. My favorite is a GRILLED veggie(soy) dog with relish, grilled onions, celery salt, and slaw. Give it a try and you’ll know the way to my heart. As my readers know, I travel with Jodi, who uses a wheelchair to get around downtown. And when you try to carry three hot dogs and a soda so that someone can push your wheelchair up the ramp to the conveniently located outdoor tables, it just gets messy. The woman behind the Streatery cart held onto our food until we got to a table, and then met me halfway — not wanting to abandon her post but also trying to be as courteous as she could be. That meant a lot to both of us, and that gained an extra star. The Woodruff Park cart is located right across the street from Moe’s Southwest Grill, on the park side of Peachtree. It doesn’t have an official address, but Moe’s is 70, so I’m calling this one 71 Peachtree St NW.
